China One
Not sure how to rate. I wanted to order something different from a different Chinese restaurant so I order the chicken chow mein. I’m not sure if what I ordered is chow mein. I know it’s not lo mein but I thought it for sure would be a thin fried crispy noodle, however I didn’t see any crispy noodles, just chicken, onions and bean spourts in a clear sauce. Honestly I think they forgot the crispy noodles. It taste ok not great but I’m not sure this is what I ordered. The place was clean and empty. It came with wonton soup rice and egg roll so a lot for less than $9. Not sure I will be back. Please comment if this is chow mein and I will edit this review. In response to the reply from China One. I know what I order. I order chow mein. I know the what lo mein is and I know what chow mei fun is as well. This was slimy, nasty and there was no crispy noodle. The rice was not good either.
The food was discusting we couldn't finish anything that we tried! The chicken was pink all the veggies that were suppose to be cooked weren't they were hard the hibachi cook didn't know what he was doing none of our food got fully cooked so once again hard veggies! The noodles were over cooked and mushy, their cheese was was cheese flavored water cheese shouldn't run off your chips or make your chips soggy, we tried their jello and it stuck to the top of our mouths and their ice cream was extremely over sweet like they added a whole container of chocolate syrup! Everything was just nasty I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy I say go up the street to Legand of Asia! They are trying to cut corners with their food to make their money back from the renovations they made to the resturant
Legend of Asia
The food was just typical Chinese buffet fare with a Mongolian grill and some sushi since it simply meets my expectations for a buffet. The inside was nothing special and the food wasn't that special either. Overall, it's not worth the drive if you're outside the area and not planning to go to Blue Springs in the first place, but if you're in the area, then give this buffet a try.
Decent buffet. We went to a $20 all you can eat and it was good. I enjoy the wide selection, but my favorite is the sushi section. If you eat a lot of sushi, then the buffet is totally worth it. Food isn’t too bad but definitely gotta eat a lot of sushi!
China Kitchen
I've been ordering food from this wonderful family for over 10 years! I love that I've practically gotten to see the kiddos grow up! ♡ The food is always fresh, delicious, and great portions. Prices are great for the portion sizes. We couldn't imagine ordering from any other Chinese place!
The Chicken Lo Mein had very little flavor to it. The chicken in it was quite oily and tasted off. The Seaseme Chicken was essentially soggy with all the sauce which caused the breading to become mushy. We ate it right when it came too. The sauce taste like ketchup and soy sauce. I love Chinese food and this is the worst Seaseme Chicken I have had. The Crab Rangoons were okay though and the Eggdrop Soup was good. But it wasnt worth $60.
Panda Express
The staff was friendly, even after having to deal with grumpy customers who were in there. I cannot recall the last time I saw anyone move that fast to get food served, I was impressed and I have been in the restaurant industry for 25 years. I did not care for the chicken that I ordered, it was soggy as though having been boiled. For teriyaki chicken I prefer grilled chicken as I recall Panda Express once serving, at least in Colorado. Still, it was tasty.
Always a great choice… plenty of food hot and ready for us and extremely quick service!! Highly recommend !!
Golden Eggroll
We hadn't ordered here for several years, not sure why! Because the food was delicious! Everything was hot and fresh. Egg drop soup some of the best I've had, even the "small" bowl was more than plenty! Sweet and sour chicken was great, love that it wasn't drenched in sauce like some other places. Also like that they include pineapple and veggies with it! Chicken fried rice was also really good! Will definitely be back
This restaurant has the best and most delicious food! We are personal trainers next door and love to come over to get the chicken on a stick for healthy protein. Tina, the owner, has the best customer service and really cares about her customers. Highly recommend!!!
Hy-Vee Chinese
This used to be amazing. The recipes seem less consistent these days. The egg drop soup was incredible at one point. Now, it’s just bad. Early on, we’d purchase a staple served from the line of mushroom chicken. They stopped making that as a serving line item several years ago, so we’d special order it. Now if you special order it, it tastes awful. Disappointing. If you purchase sweet and sour chicken, they no longer have the sauce heated on the line. They give you condiment packets and good luck getting enough for the meal. We’d probably buy Hy-Chi at least once a week if there was the consistency and closely followed recipes as it was a few years ago. We gave it a shot a couple of weeks ago to see if perhaps it had gotten any better. Nope, it was even worse. Like I said, disappointing. On the upside, the fortune cookies are still good. While it’s a bit of a different cuisine, we’ve found the Japanese restaurant, Tokyo grill, in the strip mall next to Hy-Vee. It’s very consistent and delicious. Asian food. They’ve been getting more of our biz lately.
I got the dinner for 2. It was terrible the orange chicken was super sweet even for my little girl and she love sweets. The fried rice was really plain no vegetables or egg, and beijing beef was to sweet to. First and last time eating in here
