Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers
I don’t like chicken but some of the kids and grandkids like it so we come here from time to time. The sauce Cains use seems to be the thing that makes the fries and chicken taste decent. But it’s the same sauce that other chicken chains have used for years sort of like thousand Island without the chunks in it
Food was hot and tasty as always. Good value for the price. It was lunch time and super busy, so the dine-in option was a bit crowded and not all the tables were clean. The staff was friendly and quick to serve. We did see them out. Cleaning tables multiple times. It was just hard to keep them all clean with that many people coming through.
Lechonera El Flamboyan
Finally stopped on my way back to the Goula from OS. It had been recommended by a past coworker and I had been itching to try, but I hardly drive out this way anymore. I had an excuse this time and they were open so I went for it. I was worried there was a fire as everything was painted black as opposed to being multicolored in my memories at least. It was late afternoon and was basically empty, but I've driven past when it was totally packed out. We took our time perusing the menu trying to decide on what we wanted. I knew I was going for the mufongo, but had difficulty choosing which version. As she went for the roast pork dinner, I ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and a papaya? fruit juice. The juice was good but really sweet, which I was expecting. She enjoyed her roast pork, but it was ok to me. There was a flavor I couldn't place that I wasn't vibing with. Not bad, just not what I was expecting. The pork was still tender and juicy though. The rice and peas were slightly bland. The shrimp mufongo was excellent. You could honestly put that garlic sauce on anything and I would eat it. The plantains were cooked and seasoned properly to accentuate the really big shrimp they serve it with. I could only finish half. The outdoor seating area was comfortable, they had several large fans for when that summer heat hits. There was also a pool table to make use of.
This was giving what I thought I would receive. I love hog mawl, but the plate had no addition flavor. I don't like carrots and green onions and things I would get more flavor but that was a no. I cannot remember the name of the side is a root vegetable for when I was told. It is very similar in texture to a potato but not. I did like it though. My lunch buddy said his steak was very tender he cut it with a fork and he enjoyed it. Tried a new drink Tamarind Juice. I've made a sauce with the paste before but never had as drink
Hatsukoi Restaurant & Sushi Bar
The egg drop and miso soups were amazing! The crawfish sushi was quite fishy and overpowering. The crunchy roll was devoid of the wonderful crunch. The other rolls we ordered were fine. The service was wonderful, the ladies were sweet and attentive. Would come again and try the pho.
There's a little weird smell when I initially walked in, but it went away after awhile. The food is alright, although my sushi standard might be really high. The server are nice, service is quick. Although their "sales tax" is 9%... the server said oceans springs sale tax is 9%... I just looked it up, and it's 7% so I'm not sure why they put in extra 2%.
Anthony's Steak & Seafood
Everything was delicious. They offer warm bread prior to serving your meal which is to die for. I ordered the gumbo as an appetizer.that was loaded with shrimp and had an excellent flavor. I will definitely order it again. My main meal was the Catfish .Pontchartrain, it was delicious as well. The sauce that is served with it compliments the fish perfectly. The portions of food are quite large and could easily be split. Service and atmosphere were great. It was a pleasure having such a welcoming experience here. And if you like Key Lime pie, you won’t get any better than the Key Lime pie that is served here. It’s home made and the best I have ever eaten! It isn’t a new restaurant in our area but it has become our new favorite restaurant to go to when we want a delicious meal!
Just an overall wonderful place with an all you can eat style meal service. Got the fried chicken and ship and it did not disappoint. Read another review about the biscuits and jam and this place definitely knows how to do it right. Highly recommended.
Applebee's Grill + Bar
Amazing how far Applebee’s is falling. Used to love going to the place, but the food is like eating cardboard with not enough seasoning on it. I when you’re at a restaurant you have one thing to do and that’s the serve food that your people will come back for not the case so much anymore.
Order our food was one other couple there. Food came and stuff wasn’t right my dish was very poorly made and had very little amount of food for a dinner entree took over 5 minutes for the server to come back for me to tell him. Then his manager says wow yeah that’s not right not only that was missing my bread stick as well. So they remake it my family was done eating and we had done paid for everything before my food was finally brought out. As I told them just to make it to go since my family and my parents was done eating and ready to go. So I had paid for a meal that wasn’t even right that I didn’t even eat and even when I got home go to open it and there was a long hair in it. My daughter wouldn’t even eat it. Now I’m making my dinner at home after having to spend over 1 1/2 hours at your establishment just to not eat. Also the 1 drink we ordered was nasty and tasted watered down. Over tall super bad experience. All for well I’m sorry.
Pizza Hut
Not even going to lie I gave you all a 1 star rating simply because... Of literally the amount of time it took you all to get this order to us. We watched our movie and everything well before the pizza even started to come out way. That's bullcrap for a small order. Oh and please don't hurt yourself putting some Pepperoni's on a pizza for the love of God it looks like this pizza is allergic to Pepperoni's... Do better management. No call on the substitution on the drink you all just assumed it was okay to give a drink that wasn't requested. I mean honestly guys what are you all doing here. This starts with proper management and coaching your team accordingly. The amount of time plus the experience itself was bad. I would suggest lost pizza company, little Caesars hot and ready with butter and Parm over the pie. You all have a lot of ground to catch up on to make me order from you all again and it starts with your all's accuracy, ownership, and ability to get your job completed in a timely manner, the SOS (speed of service) is not indicative of what your corporate would suggest these times are, this destroying your SLA % and your customer basis. Don't be like Salad Station and do the wrong things and go right back into a vacant spot. You all need leadership.
The one star is still an over rating. I Have missed Pizza Hut ever since they closed. Tonight experience was beyond a disappointment. The service when I picked my order was in a word "Indifference" the kid could not have cared less. I did not give it a second thought. Till now writing this review. The Owners need to know. I don't expect much but how could someone have such a burned out attitude with a business that has so recently reopened. My issue started when I got home and there was sausage on a supreme that I ordered no sausage. Between my wife and myself, she is definitely better at handling this. So she called and explained and I could hear the person try to explain that what we were looking at was not sausage but pork. My wife explained again that it has sausage and pork is sausage. She asked to get a refund. The person went through the "refund" only to say that we would have a credit towards our next order. Then he proceeded to ask my wife if it was her husband that he could hear (when discussing how pork is sausage) and began to tell her how she could tell her husband how what we were seeing was in fact not sausage. I took over the call at this point. No, I was not polite I allowed my wife to give them the polite option. I told him that I would accept nothing less then a full refund. There was discussion and I was placed on hold till Tim the manager could get on the phone. Tim absolutely does not need to be in a leadership position. If he is the example of what the rest of the employees should follow this place won't be here long. I was told that a refund would show to my card tomorrow. When Tim told me that I could speak to him nicely like a man should it really caused me to pass my boiling point. As another review says there are too many better options than to tolerate such poor customer service. I was too mad to even enjoy the meatlovers.
Burger King
Manager on duty is rude lack of communication. Place a mobile order for a Wednesday whopper. Get to the restaurant manager came to window and shoved a bag in my face. Not a word said. Close the window before I could even ask where are the drinks. We'll then I find them in the bag leaking over. Whatever I guess she must be in a bad mood. Get home and its just a regular whopper I understand that it's a promotion and the might have been out. But let me know I've already prepaid for the meal online and this is not what I paid for. What I hope to gain from this review is for your manager to have a little more customer service
One of the guys on night shift had my daughter and I laughing in the drive thru - he walked by the window and his voice gradually got louder as he yelled, “Where is tHE BUCKETTTT?!??” It is now a common phrase in our house! 🤣
Aunt Jenny's Catfish Restaurant
Great atmosphere. Service was slow at first but once they took our drink orders everything else was quick. Catfish was very thin and had a lot of breading. The shrimp was better. Prices were kind of steep. Overall not sure if I will go back.
The view is absolutely stunning. Service is superb. Food is amazing. The restaurant is old charm at its finest. Aunt Jenny’s is nothing short of amazing comfort food. Delicious!
Phoenicia Gourmet Restaurant
We finally got to eat here and it was amazing! They always have people waiting outside to get in and now we know why. Crab cakes were the best! Greek salad was amazing. I had red snapper with lump crab meat, it was great. My wife had chicken shawarma, she loved it. Chicken was so tender. Highly recommend
The steak fajitas were phenomenal. One of the best meals I have ever had. Good value even though it is on the higher end cost-wise. The pitas and hummus that they bring out is delicious as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome.
Chef Scott's Express Sushi & Asian Fusion
I'm not sure about the other rolls, but the one I had was the deep sea shell roll, which used to be called the wasabi shell roll, and the calamari. The roll was just as I remember it, and the calamari is the best around here, hands down. I've tried to find it when they were closed; trust me, you cannot find it anywhere else but at Chef Scott's. Just know that it is an express place, so it's not designed to be a dine-in restaurant. That's not the experience you will get. Also, the food is served on paper plates and it's BYOB, so just be aware that it is not a fancy dining experience. But the food is absolutely amazing and worth the experience.
Chef Scott is the real deal Sushi Chef. His fish is fresh and always delicious. Wish there were more fish selections, but we are in a small town place. His sweet and sour shrimp plate is perfect. It comes with a large salad with a yummy ginger dressing, steamed rice, and corn. Service is fast, and all the team members are so friendly and helpful. Mostly take out, but there are a few small tables to eat in.
Wasabi - Japanese Cuisine
I'm obsessed had the lunch special 2 rolls crunch n shrimp tempura w egg drop soup. I think that's the best egg drop soup I've ever had and I eaten it everywhere. I highly recommend and it is a decent price. Like 2 to 3 meals for me. Service is so great smiling faces every time and I always order a large side of wasabi paste and they never forget. Thanks so much for all u do.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was superior, the lighting perfect, the music in the back ground created a nice atmosphere. Ocean Springs has a real gem with this restaurant. This is one of the best food experiences the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer!
The Crawfish House
We are here visiting from Texas. I wanted crawfish so I googled & found this place. Reviews were good so we were excited. First off the water did not taste right. Restaurant was clean, bathroom clean. We got a platter with craw fish, shrimp, 2 corns, 2 sausages, & 1 small potato. Shrimp still had shell on them & the vein in some, disgusting. The crawfish was nothing to get excited about. No meat. I wish we would have went somewhere else. We left this place still hungry. As soon as we got back to the hotel I was in the bathroom if you know what I mean!!! The waitress was the best part of this place.
This place was the highlight of our stay in MS! Our waiter was Gavin and his every recommendation was an absolute delight! The food was delicious and Gavin's service was amazing! Really cool vibe where we could just watch a game and sip some beers while enjoying the outdoors. We will definitely be back to support this Christian based establishment.
