Oriental Cuisine Kainan
This restaurant is located in the University shoppes located to the far left of the strip mall. There is plenty of parking. The interior is spacious with seating cafe style - booths along the wall, cafe 4 top tables in the main area, and more in the adjacent room. There are food items for purchase in the adjacent room and along the wall to the right before ordering at the counter. I informed the staff this was my first time and they were helpful in assisting with food choices and explained the items. I opted for the white rice with 2 entree items. The lumpia were half sized and were great to get a few to try. The food and snack item all cost under $20 which was a bargain and the tray was packed with food. Everything was flavorful and delicious! The staff were helpful and made sure I enjoyed my first visit!
Great atmosphere and great service. Lots of option to choose from. We only order entree that we never cook at home as it could be tedious. Food was delicious, fresh and hot, not too salty or oily like some other Filipino restaurants. We come to VA Beach every year and this is our second time coming here and they never disappoint.
Top's China Restaurant
I tried Top China restaurant today for the first time and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I am a very picky person when it comes to Chinese cuisine. As a New York transplant, decent Chinese food is hard to come by locally. I ordered the General Tso chicken with pork fried rice combo and it was not bad at all. I also ordered the fried dumplings, and they were okay. Not the best I’ve had, but not horrible. I think I will order again from here.
I always buy General Tso's Chicken and dumplings in NY at my favorite spot, this place had big shoes to fill, but their General Tso's Chicken was really good, not the same but close. Their steamed dumplings are flavorless. Which is upsetting cuz back in NY they were the best but being here I don't think I'll buy them again.

04/13/24 I had Bourbon Chicken, egg rolls, and egg drop soup. Overall not bad. I get Bourbon Chicken almost everywhere I go plus the egg drop soup and egg rolls. It was not bad at all.
Ordered their general tsos chicken meal along with their beef with garlic sauce meal and crab Rangoon, everything came out relatively quickly and tastes phenomenal. I 100% recommend going and having their food
New China
10/30/24 Stopped by to get a couple of egg rolls and Bourbon Chicken. Food here is very solid. Very much enjoyed it. 09/27/23 This place was very reasonable in their pricing and very quick also. I did egg roll and beef and broccoli. My standard first time go to. The egg rolls were good and the the main dish was very tasty. The sauce was very good and the veggies they put in were nice. The prices are excellent. Probably been here a long time so they don't have to raise prices. Their rent is probably at descent rate. I would try something different next time. I bet it will be great. I must try. I would drive a bit extra to eat here. Staff was friendly.
Service was great. Ordered online for take out. General Tso's chicken was alright and roast pork fried rice was a bit dry. However the sesame chicken was really good and the plain lo mein noodles are also amazing. Crab Rangoon and egg rolls were also enjoyable. A lot of food for cheap.
Wow Bao
Was the most greasy, burnt, small portion of fried rice and orange chicken I've ever had. Fork in the photo is for scale. I've never had a place serve burnt fried rice. I found the egg it was roughly the size of a dime.
Portion sizes were VERY small. For 10.99 I got less than a cup of rice. They forgot the potstickers. The egg rolls were soaked in grease and inedible. The teriyaki chicken fried rice was also tiny and had very little actual chicken. Do fall for the coupon I suspect this was ans ubereats bait and switch. Our total was over $30 and there wasn't even enough food for one person. What was there was bad.
