New Buffet City
I love this place! the people who run it are great! the food is great! the service is great! this is my go to place when I am hungry but don't feel like cooking. I can grab a to go plate a sweet tea for around $10 which beats any fast food spot. I got all of the food in the picture including the drink for $13!! and it is good!!!
Went in for dinner this evening. The woman that sat us was extremely rude, brought the wrong drinks as well. Food was either dry or burnt for the most part. When we received our bill the was an automatic gratuity of $3 .... Normally I do tip but with this experience I was not going to. It definitely surprised us with the automatic tip being as there is not one sign or notice which by law there should be. Once this was our favorite place. Not any longer.
Kien Giang Restaurant
We had a lovely dining experience at Kien Giang! We ordered the Canh Chua with fish—while the broth was flavorful, some parts of the catfish were a bit stiff, and we wish we’d gone with the shrimp instead. However, everything else we tried more than made up for it! The Pho Tai (beef pho) had a unique flavor profile with a noticeable star anise kick—it stood out in a good way. The chicken wings were excellent, perfectly battered with a crispy crunch, and the crab rangoon was generously filled and so satisfying. The atmosphere was laid-back and relaxing, and the service matched the vibe—friendly and easygoing. Overall, a great spot for Vietnamese cuisine, and we’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!
Delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and good service. I highly recommend to try noodle soups (phở ), real Vietnamese taste.
Tien
Great experience at Tien. We were apprehensive to go here at first after reading some of the mixed reviews but still gave it a shot anyways. The service was exceptional. The waiters, chef and staff were all super friendly and we bonded instantly. The team there have great chemistry which translates to very flavorful food. The chef gave us all of his tips and secrets to making the best fried rice ever. If you go, be sure to ask for Antwon as your chef. He will not let you down or go home hungry!
Enjoyable dinner. Soups were delicious. Teppanyaki was so much fun! Kevin was our chef and he was great. Plentiful portions.
Panda Palace
This place has a good variety of food. The crawfish and shrimp boil is packed with flavor. The shrimp and chicken dish that's drenched in the yum yum sauce is pretty taste. This place offer buffet or a carry out plate. I always opt in to eat as much as I can. They also offer fresh sushi, which is not my favorite but it is available.
The foods are so fresh, hot and tasty. The staffs are friendly. Great ice cream for desert.
Bamboo Restaurant
This used to be our go to restaurant when lived here. We moved away in 2011. I came by today, and it’s still the same, it just as good as it was back then, perhaps even better. do not let the exterior fool you, walk on in and enjoy phenomenal meal.
Misleading… I ordered 5 chicken wings and got drumettes! Also got shrimp fried rice and vegetable fried rice which was good. Just dissatisfied with the chicken.
Chopsticks
Tried Chopsticks in Diberville this afternoon. It was good and the service was great, but we have had better Chinese elsewhere. The egg drop soup was 10/10, and the general Tso chicken was good as well, however there was no spice to it whatsoever. It says on the menu it is one of their spicy items so it was a slight letdown. We also tried the Chinese donuts and were not disappointed!! They came out super hot and fresh and were amazing. Overall, good experience, but nothing that made it better than other Chinese restaurants around. We will definitely be back to try other menu items though!!
Ordered takeout tonight through DoorDash and was looking forward to good food. What we got was anything but good. The pepper chicken was dry and almost like cracklins rather than decent pieces of chicken. The sesame chicken was goopy as was the general tso’s chicken. The sauce was thick like a goopy paste. It was so disgusting we threw it out. The egg rolls were burned. The hot n sour soup tasted like it had been scalded. Everything tasted either burned or like old grease. The only thing that was decent and edible was the steamed white rice. We basically threw all of it - the entire meal away. When you first opened I left a raving 5 star review of your restaurant. Wow have you guys gone downhill. We won’t be back. Do better! Take pride in your food. If you wouldn’t eat it don’t serve it. This is what we had. Pepper chicken Hot n sour Soup Egg rolls Sesame Chicken Generals chicken Crab Rangoon We have left a message with you through Facebook messenger.
Kim Long Restaurant
Haven’t had anything here that wasn’t good . The ladies are really nice . I frequent this restaurant ALOT. My mom loves their pho, my kid loves the bim bau wei ( I’m sure that isn’t how you spell it ) nonetheless, I highly recommend Kim Longs. Wait time is convenient
This Vietnamese-owned restaurant has THE BEST shrimp-fried rice (at least on the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast)!!! I've been all over the United States - from the East Coast to the West, but I've never had shrimp-fried rice from any state other than my hometown here in Mississippi). What makes this dish so great to me is their proprietary (homemade) sauce. It's soy sauce mixed with some other spices/seasonings (not hot at all). I highly recommend you get on the side, and mix it in with the shrimp-fried rice. My...God...It''s phenomenal!!! 🥰🥰🥰 (I did some HVAC work for the owner of this restaurant, and he offered me some food for lunch while I was working. What he brought me was the shrimp-fried rice with some of that sauce, along with two egg rolls and duck sauce. What he didn't know was he gained a new customer, along with all of my followers!) 😏
Tasty Pot
My mom and I were in the Mississippi area to see a casino show when we noticed a new hot pot spot had just opened nearby. I was even more surprised when I found out that it was part of the Tasty Pot franchise since they’re usually located more in highly Asian populated states like California & Texas. At first, our expectations weren’t really high since hot pot places in areas down here and in Louisiana are typically hit and miss, but after trying it out, we were highly satisfied with our dining experience here! For starters, the service was really nice. Pretty friendly and not too pushy. The inside decor was clean and trendy as well. As for the actual hotpot, the quality is just like the ones we’ve tried in California & Texas! Portions were big, taste was really flavorful, & prices were reasonable. I got the Beef Hot Soup HP ($18.99) while my mom got the Thai Tom Yum HP ($21.99). Both HP dishes had good amounts of meats and veggies, & the broths had enough flavor to match their dish names. As for drinks, we just got the standard Taro & Jasmine Milk Teas ($6.29 per drink). Even though they’re standard, the milk teas still tasted good. Overall, we would come back to this Tasty Pot if we’re ever around the area again! We need more places like this one in an area so scarce of actual good quality Asian places.
The food selections are great! Flavor on the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup was amazing. You spend 30 minutes eating and still find new ingredients in the soups. Every ingredient is very clearly listed for those with allergies or sensitivties. Imani was an amazing server. She was so sweet and patient with us as first time customers. The jasmine mango tea with jelly was a great drink. Overall I would recommend everyone try this place.
Jia
Jia Asian Restaurant at Beau Rivage offers an exceptional dining experience. The food is incredibly tasty, from appetizers to entrees, with generous portions that might leave you with leftovers. Expect to spend about $50–$100 for a decent meal. If you enjoy sweet cocktails, the Mai Tai is a must-try. Their house-made sweet soy sauce is perfect for dipping and adds an extra layer of flavor to any dish. The atmosphere is inviting and enhances the overall experience. Highly recommended!
There are plenty of on-site restaurants to choose from at the Beau Rivage and this is a great choice. We started with the firecracker shrimp which was very tasty. The restaurant has a cool ambiance, and has a team to refill waters. However, I gave four stars for service because our server passed us multiple times before they “touched the table.” Unfortunately, the server in the section next to us seemed to be a bit more attentive throughout. Overall though, the dinner was nice and tasted great
Quickly Asian Fusion Cafe
I will never come here again. The food was terrible, I ordered 2 fried squid and 2 fried tofu, 1 brown sugar boba latte. The first few bites just tasted oily, had no flavor and were too soft. the food wasn't even hot. and it costs almost $10 for a small bag. As for the black sugar milk tea, it was super sweet when I told them to make it less sweet. it totally cost me $64 and it was only for a small bag of food. I'm speechless with this restaurant, please save your money don't waste it here like me, thank .
Simply and “Quickly” awesome! We came here for the first time after hearing years of hype about this place from others, and we can confirm that this place lived up to its’ expectations! We got the Tonkatsu Chicken Bento Box ($13.39), the half portion Bulgogi Fries ($9.19), and a plain Taro Milk Tea ($4.39). The food was all fresh, hot, and flavorful. As for the milk tea, it was pretty good and fair for the price. The young lady who served us was really nice and patient with our order. As for the vibe of the place, it’s not fancy, but still pretty chill if you’re looking for a hangout place in the area. This is a must try if you visit Mississippi!
China Bistro
The best shrimp fried rice I have ever had...better than rice dishes I have had in Shanghai...I usually take fried rice home from restaurants and get out more ginger, garlic, scallions, sesame oil and soy sauce. The rice from China Bistro is so balanced and amazing, it doesn't need one thing added, not even soy sauce. The owners are wonderful! They are a local family. Support local, family businesses and eat some fantastic food at China Bistro!!!
One of the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Had this good chinese food in a very long time. We had Chicken Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken and it was nothing but absolute best.will be back here again if in the area.
Izakaya Sushi Pub
Paid $15 for wonton soup w/ noodles and bbq pork. Once delivered, I saw there was just a sliver of pork in the soup. I paid an additional $8 for the pork and noodles so this was extremely disappointing. The broth was bland so I had to put it in a pot and doctor it up. The taste of the wontons were good but they were falling apart. The sushi was some of the smallest I’ve seen. Portions don’t justify the price.
This place is delicious. I recommend the bulgogi tacos! Update: came back 9 months later because I was back in town. The food here is still the best and I will miss it! The bulgogi tacos and the bulgogi lunch is to die for!
