Little Wok - Wicker Park
A nice Chinese cuisine restaurant with a modern sleek interior and great service. We went on a Friday night for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious (it took me a while to choose though - they offer an extensive menu). We had the Classic Fried rice (chicken + tofu, shrimp + tofu) which was very flavorful and not greasy. Loved their Egg rolls with peanut butter. The Tonkotsu Ramen was very well presented and tasty. We’ll be back to try their sashimi! The staff was great. Both, the host and the waiter, were pretty attentive. Highly recommend if in Wicker Park!
Good things first. The decor and the vibe was great! I started with the crab Rangoon. It was good until I bit into a huge chunk of an onion. I know it said onion but I wasn't expecting big chunks. It was gross, I had to open each one up and take out the onion. I had the Ebi tamporia. It was delicious I really liked that. I then ordered the lunch special of the general chicken. It came with white rice and an egg roll . It was good and a good value. They have Coke products. They also have a large outdoor seating area.

Panda Express
My family picked up food from Panda for a quick dinner. Our order was supposed to be ready at 5:50pm, and we ended up waiting until 6:10pm to actually receive our meals. We had to physically show our emailed receipt for them to believe we had an order, and the staff were very rude. At one point I saw a staff member take food out of a to-go box on the line and put it back into the serving dish 🤢 they gave small portions and almost all of my noodles were cabbage 😔 I’m not sure why we come back. The mushroom chicken is tasty, though.
We stopped in heading out of town, very clean place and the staff were very friendly! Of course we had to get our orange chicken and rice!!! The bourbon chicken and teriyaki chicken are also a fave! The food was delicious and cooked well!
Jinn's Fresh
I've been ordering here for 3 years on the worst and best days of my life never went to the physical location till now like a lot of Chicago restaurants no seating but it's cool because the food is always 💯 amazing way better than the nice decorated restaurants. Im super picky too my absolute favorite is their fresh spring rolls! Out of all these years I've been ordering only 1 wrong order mishap which they made right on the 2nd delivery attempt! No plans on finding a new Chinese restaurant at all!❤️❤️❤️
SUBPAR yet edible Chinese food in my experience and opinion. When you know better you know better. It is Father's Day and Juneteenth, I say this only to say that it would help the following experience make some type of sense for me. It is neither an excuse but an explanation I have come up with. Many restaurants were overwrought with orders and maybe they were rushing and or ran out of ingredients and simply could not keep up with the demand but decided out of greed to still make the money and hope the customers did not notice or wouldn't complain that ingredients were missing and the quality was poor. This was pricey food made from cheap ingredients and lacking any memorable taste or quality assurance. I ordered Combination chop suey with Chicken, beef and shrimp (No bean sprouts were in it at all) they just happen to be one of my favorite parts of the dish but usually one of the main featured vegetables too, the shrimp were mushy, no water chestnut were included either just carrot, celery, white onion and cabbage ???? And to add insult to injury the white rice served along with the Chop Suey was under cooked as well ....upon my calling back no plausible explanation could be given and I was reffered back to the food delivery service to request a refund for the item. I was disappointed with the other items as well Combination fried rice was meh at best, spring rolls were filled with unflavored mush and a tough not delicate and crispy outer covering as I have accustomed too. I am sure that they have some customers that enjoy their offerings and preparations. I definitely am not one of the fans of the restaurant or their offerings after this first unfortunate experience.
New China
The food was delicious. The inside is simple sit down. When I ordered 2 lunch specials (includes a side of chicken fried rice or white rice, egg drop soup & an egg roll). So I ordered pad Thai & beef fried rice entree. Both she said were lunch specials & wonton soup. Order came with the 2 lunch specials, one wonton soup, 1 egg drop soup & 1 egg roll. The 2 sides of rice, 1 egg roll & 1 egg drop soup were missing. Now when I order I had the woman repeat the order back due to the language barrier. So when we received the order I brought the missing items to her attention. Now she stated when u order the beef fried rice u don't get a side of rice not even the white rice. Then she states that the pad Thai is not a lunch special, so no rice or egg roll. When I placed the order she stated they offer the pad thai as a special & when I had the order repeated back to me it included 2 sides of rice, 2 egg rolls & 2 egg drop soups. Now the menu clearly states that all lunch specials come with those. Bait & switch... We didn't even get napkins. The food was tasty, the service was deceiving & terrible.
The food was average. Not great. Not awful. Just average. The egg drop soup was good, and the egg roll was a little crispy, but O.K. The problem is the price for average food. Two lunch specials cost close to $30. If this was the best Chinese I've ever had, I wouldn't be so negative.
