New Asian Ju Yuan
I got sesame chicken. He got GenTsao combo. Both were sub par. He got a big ball of connected chicken pieces which you can't help but wonder if it got to temperature for food safety. My chicken tasted freezer burnt. He said his just tasted stale. I think they are the same chicken though. It was definitely chewy, as if it was overdone or just past is prime before it was even cooked. Rice was good. He also was lacking in any sauce on the bottom of the container. Fried rice was alright. His wontons were both crispy and soggy/greasy, but the dog liked them. I couldn't eat my food. I spit out both the broccoli and the chicken and ate just the white rice. We will not be returning.
The food is edible for me. Not good as this is not my taste. The chicken wing is taste so different than my usual chicken sauce I order from other place. Guess it is just depends on how people liking the tastes. The fried clear noodle also not tastes good to my preference. But like I said, everyone has their own preference taste so tried for yourself. But for me, not going to come for second time. The service is good. No dine in spot.
New Panda House
I recently visited New Panda House, a Chinese restaurant in New Hope, Minnesota, to satisfy my craving for what I consider traditional Amercanized Chinese food. I had received their menu in the mail, and when I opened it at the table, I was impressed by the extensive list of options. We decided to try a few dishes: the Shanghai spring rolls, cream cheese wontons, pork fried rice (a classic I use to judge any Chinese restaurant), and sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork was absolutely spot-on—delicious and perfectly cooked. The pork fried rice was flavorful and did not disappoint. The cream cheese wontons were enormous and perfectly fried, earning a big thumbs-up from me. However, the Shanghai spring rolls were a letdown. The filling was too mushy and bland for my taste, though I liked the idea of them. Overall, while the restaurant is undeniably a dive, it delivers on good food. We'll definitely be back for more!
Well, pre covid I did not like this place. Sometime between then and now, this place has greatly improved! For take out, my wife and I are now here, maybe twice a month. She loves the house special ried rice, I love that I can add Cashews and chile to my shrimp and vegetables! Egg rolls, always taste fresh. The cooking oil doesn't seem to leave that aftertaste on fried items, that means they change it to fresh when needed! The Beef Lo Mein is fantastic and...AAAANNNDDDD the Coconut Shrimp...Highly recommended!!! Fantastic face-lift here, 04/23/2025!!!! The place looks amazing. Vibrant and d delicious dishes!! Great all around!! Highly recommend!!!
