The Main Course
I wish I was able to give this business more than 5 stars. Outstanding customer service, the quality of the food, taste and the different choices for most dietary preferences are exquisite. Thank you Amy, Kevin and staff for taking care of us in the way you kindly did.
Ok. I lived in Cold Spring NY 20 years ago. Still thought about the scones that I devoured. Just went back and the scones are still just as delicious!!! The prepared food is wonderful too!
Cold Spring Phoenix Too
Reasonable wait times for food to be made fresh to order. Portion sizes are great. Prices are also reasonable for the amount of food. 10/10 will come back.
Great food as always, but the owners son wasn't the greatest with customer service. He got angry with me about my home address because I couldn't remember and he told me to call him back. He's very short with people so this needs to be addressed. This is a new area for me so I'm not impressed with how I was treated.
Chan's Asian Wok
Inedible. The Mongolian beef was a very poor quality meat. All gristle, grey in color and slimy. The chicken in the orange chicken and Tao’s chicken had no flavor other than extreme sodium. Burn your tongue sodium. None of the four things we ordered were meant to be consumed by humans that have taste buds. Will not be ordering anything from there again. I give up.
I ordered online, there were no size options, given the price I assumed all orders were large. All other Chinese restaurants fill a large round container and a paper box of rice for a large order $10-$13 and lunch special is rice and the main together for $7-$8. I ordered three larges at $11, the picture shows what to expect. The lo mein was also very small. The pork egg rolls were dry, I have had better egg rolls out of a box from kroger. The crab rangoon were good but I was so disgruntled over everything else I couldn't enjoy them.
New Ming Moon Kitchen
I recently dined at New Ming Moon Chinese restaurant in Cold Spring. The food was decent, with the only drawback being it was a bit on the salty side. Other than that, it was an okay dining experience. However, what left a less than stellar impression was the unfriendliness of the owners. In a restaurant, a warm and welcoming atmosphere can greatly enhance the overall experience, and unfortunately, that was lacking here. While the food was passable, the lack of hospitality from the owners left room for improvement.
I took a day trip to Cold Spring via the Seastreak ferry. The restaurant caught my eye initially because of the clothing and gift items that were displayed outside. I found a beautiful reversible Shanghai Tang embroidered jacket, and took it inside to purchase. Inside the restaurant were more gifts and clothing for sale. The owner was very pleasant. The restaurant smelled great, so I decided to order food. I had the spicy chicken, pork and beef with white rice. It had the right amount of spice, and the portion was large enough that I had leftovers. If you find yourself in Cold Spring, I highly recommend a visit to New Ming Moon. You may just find a hidden treasure.
