Lak was excellent and kind when I placed my party plater order. The restaurant was very tidy and organized when I arrived. The orange chicken platter was very tasty. I will definitely be ordering again next Super Bowl.

I wanted sauce on my noodles I didn’t ask for it because my friend wanted to eat there after they were closing

Wife & I went to Leann Chin’s for both our first & last time last night (4/22/25). All the food we ordered was cold and had obviously been under the heating lamp for much longer than safe or practical for good tasting food. we ordered a quart of peking chicken and the pan under the heating lamp didn’t have enough left to fill the quart sized container. so the teenager working there just closed the lid and sold to us instead of offering to make a fresh batch of that chicken, or asking if we wanted him to top off the container with another entree. egg rolls were also cold and mushy. well, we gave leann a try but won’t ever be back. will go to panda express for future chinese greasy food

The new owner there is very friendly and comes to help out in the front which is nice to see. I never personally expect much from Leann Chins or any buffet style place like this. This location though has been pretty reliable when it comes to having some fresh options available. I tend to stick with white rice, mixed vegetables, and one of the more popular entrees like sesame chicken since they're more likely to rotate. I usually come away with some good food that is also quick and affordable. It has become one of my preferred options in this area when I need a quick meal.

Do NOT do online orders from this location! It’s like you guys get rid of all the old crap in the case that’s about to go in the trash on online orders. The amount of beef in the beef and Broccoli compared to broccoli is laughable I can’t believe Somebody actually put that on a plate you can also tell there was part of an old batch in there too because I had some soggy broccoli and some rock hard broccoli. Same with the honey sesame chicken and the Beijing beef (didn’t even bother filling the container either) old, cold, not much meat. And it’s just so sloppy just throw in the box. I KNOW if I had come in I would have left satisfied and received great food. But because it’s an online order I get what should have hit the trash can. Waste of money for sure

I have went to this location multiple times and usually get good quality food but not today. For lunch I stopped by for a 2 plate combo that included chow mein, Beijing beef and the new blazing bourbon chicken. Unfortunately the peppers in the bourbon chicken was burnt to a crisp giving thee entire entrée a bad taste. I understand this location is always busy but serving burnt food to paying rewards customers is unacceptable.

I’ve tried this location several times, it’s rare that I DONT have issues. There’s a man that seems to be a manager maybe owner, very aggressive, it’s very obvious that he hates his job and hates everything else in the world. Today’s experience I have black flakes in both meals (orange chicken and lemon chicken), they had a strong smoke smell and our first and only bites tasted like smoke. It was completely inedible and went straight to the trash. I’ve given the Savage location so many chances, but this was the last straw.

Placed an online order, they replaced the white rice with brown, as they were out of white rice (an hour before they closed, should have made more,) they didn't call to tell me they were out of rice and see if I still wanted my order. I wanted my money back and asked for it when I went to pick up my order. The worker said the manager could do that and wouldn't be in until Sunday. I tried calling a couple times on Sunday, left a message for the manager to call me back (she was busy one of the times, and on break another,) but she never called me back. I just want my money back for the order I placed that wasn't fullfilled.

Great Food, Great Prices, and my personal favorite - Great Service. Catered to my dietary needs and made me feel very welcomed.

The food is above average and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. The service is wonderful. I used to work nearby many years ago & every so often we'd go to lunch there. I had a co-worker who would point out the local celebrities. It has been there for as long as I can remember, and I can't say that about many restaurants. I even remember having Christmas dinner there with my mom, one strange year. It's also a great spot for group dinners & banquets for organizations. They do serve alcohol, if that makes any difference.

We ate food from here for the first time. Ordered takeout since I had a promo from Instacart. I have to say, it was the WORST meal I’ve had in a while. It was terrible, half of it went in the trash. We ordered the bourbon chicken and the Peking chicken, along with egg rolls and a few potstickers. The potstickers sucked, the were tiny and shriveled but more so the sauce was STRAIGHT SALT. Good lord, like a salt concentrate. Salty dumplings too. Move on to the egg rolls. They’re were mushy and HAVE to be frozen egg rolls heated up. They were also so damn salty again, I couldn’t even eat a whole one. The appetizer sauce aka duck sauce was disgusting. Thankfully I have my own I like. Onto the entrees: don’t ask me how you can make white rice bad but they did it. Idk if it’s just low quality rice or what. It looked undercooked but wasn’t crunchy. Nothing like sticky rice or white rice you get at a Chinese place. It was also so dry. The bourbon chicken didnt have much flavor but charred grill, and was dry as hell and really fatty and grizzly. Half of the chicken wasn’t eaten. The Peking chicken was cooked better but was doused in the sauce that was thick, almost like a jam. Was also SUPER sweet. Honestly nothing was good. Overall we ate the bare minimum to stave our hunger and tossed the rest. What a terrible meal. Nothing was good at all. Never will I eat at a Leeann Chins again. I feel gross just for eating it. It wasn’t even worth it with the promo discount. Wouldn’t eat this food if it was given away for free. Just terrible.

The sweet and sour chicken was not even cooked in the sauce it was served in a cup on side. Only had 1 carrot slice and 2 pineapple pieces. The beef and broccoli was all broccoli very little beef. Cheese wontons where all dough and soggy. The green beans had good flavor. I would not recommend this place. You could cook chicken yourself and drizzle sweet and sour sauce on it yourself at home for much cheaper.

I ordered the happy meal, which said it came with chicken fried rice, but there was no chicken in the fried rice and it’s not very good. The beef and broccoli had like no sauce and it was pretty plain. It was disappointing.

I liked the egg foo young, it was my first time trying that, it came really fresh and hot. I think they forgot to give us egg rolls but that’s ok. I liked that they had meal options that come with fried rice and egg roll and a can of pop. Makes it easy instead of ordering family style. My grandma ate tf up those steamed dumplings, but I don’t think she liked the egg foo young as much as me. My grandpa also didn’t seem impressed, but idk I didnt try their food.

Staff doesn't fully assemble delivery orders. Grab a pack of cookies on your way out he says. I think you should have put it in the delivery bag if the customer ordered it. I don't work for you. Buffet of food looks drenched in teriyaki sauce anyway and wasn't clean.

Our favorite place to dine in Shoreview. The food is always fresh and delicious, the restaurant clean and welcoming but the staff is what makes this location the best! Wonderful service!!

I order the coconut Thai chicken and unfortunately felt it was very bland and despite expecting a more sweet taste. I just tasted plain chicken. Very unfortunate. The noodles were good and overall wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had. Just surprised.

The rice and noodles taste burned which kills the whole flavor, I thought it was a one time patch and came 2 other times and same issue if the rice isn't burnt its the noodles if it isn't noodles it's the chicken. Please check the quality of the food.

First time visit here. Pleasant atmosphere and superb service. We arrived at dinnertime at 5pm on a Thursday. Promptly greeted and seated. Food selection was quite varied and looked fresh and full. Enjoyed sampling different items and sharing our comments as we ate. The Egg Fu Yung was delicious, the gravy just a bit too thin though for me. Eggs Rolls were great as was the Pepper Chicken. The Potstickers were fantastic. There are fresh Mongolian Grill items to chose from as well as a selection of Sushi. Very nice salad and dessert options too. So nice there is a Senior Discount too. The staff was warm and welcoming and we will be back.

Not a very good buffet. Sushi was good, rest of the food was poor. Food came out of the kitchen and was mush or dried out. Classic dishes were lacking flavor or not even close to industry normal. Did not ask the age of my 10 yr old and charged her as an adult. Will not be back.

I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice to go. Lunch special is $7.25. Can't be the price and the food was good. Walking in the place reminded me of a time when Chinese buffets were the best place to go. This has changed and now they are the place to order food to go.

Over the years we have figured out there are some dishes we don’t like. Our go to’s are: lemon chicken, orange chicken, chicken with garlic sauce, pepper steak with onions, sesame chicken, and their awesome wontons. I have noticed people bashing the lady that takes orders or answers the phone. She has been that way forever, it could be a cultural thing or language barrier. She was very nice tonight, even wished me happy holidays. We have been getting their food for many years. We don’t go there for the service, but the food is usually really good with huge portions. I would say over the years there have been a small handful of times we disliked the food. I am very happy that our small town has a good food option like this. It beats the heck out of surrounding towns Chinese food. The picture was orange chicken on the top and chicken with garlic on the bottom. Came with a large container of white rice and we did get an order of cream cheese wontons.

Not sure why they have a lower rating. I mean is it fine Chinese cuisine? Hell no. But is it what you’d expect when you want “Chinese” food? Absolutely. Plus they haven’t hiked their menu prices up to some ridiculous amount. I think they have some of the best house egg foo yung around. That’s my go to at just about every Chinese restaurant I try and theirs isn’t greasy or burnt or small it is on par most every time. Don’t listen to the other reviews it is better than that Chinese food place down the road. Not pho 123 but the other

Best Chinese place I’ve eaten at so far. I didn’t get sick from the food and I ate it for every meal for almost 3 days. Their hot and sour soup is the best that I’ve had. I would go there just for their soup omg it’s so perfect.
