Yun's Village
For the last 20+ years, we have been going to Yuns Chinese. We have always felt that the food was very good and you got enough helpings for the price. In the last year, it is bad. We have tried it 5 times and each time we found that the quality of food has gone down and the portion size has been cut and the price has gone up. One example was we got almond chicken. 70% of each piece was breading! We took off the breading and saw how thin the chicken was. They have changed the rice in the last 6 months and even though I do not notice a difference, my wife does not like the new rice. The service is still quick and fast, but since the pandemic, they no longer have a sit down restaurant and it is 100% carry out. It was told to us (never confirmed), that the restaurant was sold and maybe that is why we have seen the change. We now get our Chinese food from the golden chopstick in westland. This place is maybe 5% more cost than yuns, but the food is excellent and the portion sizes are a good size. I am not going to rule out trying yuns in the future, but for sure we will not try it anytime soon. I am hoping the quality and less breading, etc. changes back to the way it use to be.
1st time today and it was very clean inside. The last at the counter was very polite, and helpful. She even track me down when she forgot to add my eggroll. The food was excellent. The vegetable fried rice I had was the best I ever had. I didn't have to add anything to it. Will def be back!
KungFu Bros Dumplings & Noodles
I'm so glad I stumbled on this place because I was shopping in the area. I wanted something different because I live about 40 minutes away. I went to this place it's unassuming just a little cute and clean spot, but when I tell you this was the best food I had in a long long time I mean it. Everything was so flavorful and so tasty it was delicious. The presentation of the food was just as tasty looking as the pics on the menu. Now I have to make this 40-minute drive just to get a carry out. The customer service was excellent the the girl that took my order was so friendly and so helpful. I had no idea just egg fried rice will be so flavorful and picture perfect. A must try if you're in the area even if you're not I'm willing to drive all the way back to get the same thing.
Super tasty authentic Korean-style cuisine. The staff is super friendly and family owned. The service is EXTREMELY fast and the food comes out tasting fresh. If you live in the area, consider checking it out. Itβs definitely worth the stop!
China gate
Been eating here for YEARS! I drive 30 minutes to get it! My order.... Sweet and sour chicken WITH THE SAUCE ON THE CHICKEN, and veggies fried rice!! NEVER fails!!! Pro tip.... Garlic chips on rice is AMAZING! PS... my plate is 1/2 gone when I took this pick.
Food has always been delicious, but this time, it was delicious with HAIR in it. Hair was in the shrimp fried rice and the egg fu Yung. This was the best food ever until my husband and I found hair in our food last night, and we didn't think to take pictures. I don't think I will be back. Replying back to the comment made by the owner. The food was purchased on a Tuesday and I posted my review Wednesday and its obviousyou didn'tsee untiltoday, Thursday. I am well aware of your business hours. I neglected to mention the use of gelatin you put in your gravy. Gravy doesn't solidify so much thee it has to broken into pieces to go into the garbage disposal. Since you want to be a smart mouthed, my family, friends, or myself will ever give our money again!
Golden Chopstick
Enormous servings of classic Chinese dishes - and they are open on Mondays. So I found out that none of my favorite Chinese restaurants are open on Mondays. I asked Google Girl what was open, and she said "Golden Chopsticks", so I gave it a try. I got a gigantic portion of Egg Foo Young (see photos)! Big enough for three meals. Classic Brown gravy, fried rice and egg roll. Excellent flavors. Then tried the Sushi, since many reviews said it was good. The reviews were right, very good. Spicy mayo was perfect, but green horseradish sauce was insanely spicy. Even the dog would not eat it, so be careful with that one. Pretty great to have another Asian choice in the neighborhood (and the only choice on a Monday) Recommended.
Yummy π another fantastic find on the cheap, corner of Ford and Wayne road. All Lunch specials $9.25 everyday till 3pm, come with Soup Egg Roll and Fried Rice. She had ABC be Almond Boneless π Chicken. Me Bowl of marvelous Hot n Sour Soup I really liked Delicious π. I got a really fabulous PuPu Platter π, they call it something else. On a old school wooden lazy susan, you gotta be old like me to know these. Filled with Jumbo Shrimp,Balamaki, Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Wings and Beef Dumplings OMG π a true winner perfect for sharing. The reviews all over the place around the web. Great service food and prices, gotta give a full 5 stars. Yes wanna go try the Singapore Noodles on the menu a favorite dish of mine. #goldenchopstickswestland #westlandmi #almondbonelesschicken #pupuplatter #hotsoursoup #balamaki #wontonsoup #downriverfriendseat
China Star Palace
This is beyond disgusting. It felt weird that I was unable to chew well. There is a wet pieces of paper and plastic in it. Put attention to the chicken and rice. I recently ordered this and I told my son to look into the food. I donβt recommend
We ordered this through Instacart so I can't say anything about the employees of this restaurant or how the inside is but the food was atrocious! I will blame the very cold food on our incredibly slow and late delivery driver. However, the taste of the food is absolutely the fault of this establishment. Everything tasted like it was the last food sitting out at a chinese buffet. All of it had the same weird smell and taste and it was not good. The egg roll and crab rangoons were burnt and overcooked and tasted off. The only edible thing we got was the almond chicken and that was just barely passable. We will definitely be looking elsewhere for our Chinese food fix and I recommend others do the same.
Thai City
If you want quantity, this is the place! I got the Pad Thai, which is big enough to serve for two people. It had the essence of Pad Thai, but lacking sauce in my opinion. I also got the dumplings, which had a "Thai-ish" after taste to it as well as the Royal Crispy Roll, which were okay. I'd recommend this place if you have an urge for Thai food.
Generous portion, Considerate staff, Decent flavors Thai City offers plenty of food for one meal and service went well. Ordered Sesame Chicken - Rice/Egg Roll, and Gang Garee Red Pork Curry [Stew with Coconut Milk, Carrots, Potato, Onion] The Sesame Chicken had a tasty roll and crunch. Also, potatoes + chicken were good! I wished the pork had a better texture. Pork needed more meat as it tasted fatty and soft. Regardless: It's A Filling Place to Get Chinese-Thai food. 3.75 stars but I'll round it up to 4.
888 Sushi
I love these guys so much they have amazing service, the foods amazing, everything's just fantastic Also! The Lady there makes wonderful HOME MADE cookies!
We tried the crab salad flashbang and crab Rangoon for apps and they were so flavorful and amazing. The crab Rangoon was fried to crispy perfection compared to others Iβve tried that are undercooked and get soggy. We had some fresh salmon, tuna, and spicy scallop nigiri. And eel, spicy yellowtail and spicy whitefish. We got two sushi rolls, the Westland and the rainbow roll. All amazing. Definitely recommend
Lucky Kitchen Chinese Restaurant
I'm always nervous to get chinese food as my favorite place isn't so good anymore.. but this place nailed it! The rice is full of flavor, egg rolls are delightful and the plum sauce is perfect. General Tso and Almond chicken bot cooked perfect
This is the best and most authentic Chinese food around, great value, very authentic home cook Chinese food, this family has been providing great service to our family for years and our only spot to get carry out when we eat Chinese. Highly recommend and will return, thank you Lucky's kitchen
Hibachi Grill and Buffet
We came for lunch it was expensive almost $70 for 3 people is ridiculous, all the food was off tasting and we usually love it but not today, I tried a new shrimp and now I wish I hadn't because I have food poisoning π€’ we will not be back, also the wait staff is super rude asking for tips no thank you your tip is your service fee, and I tip when the service is good and the tip is not asked for, FYI tips are earned not mandatory. If I could give this trip zero stars I would
Great buffet experience. Lots of food options, staff is quick and constantly cleaning up. Went at dinner time and food was constantly coming out of the kitchen, fresh and hot. Restaurant has cute decorations and tons of tables so wait is usually very short. Flavors are good for standard Americanized Chinese food. Lots of American options as well. Salad and dessert bar, many bars of Chinese food, sushi bar. Also has a hibachi grill where you pick the protein, carbs, vegetables and sauce and it is cooked on a flat top in front of you.
Bamboo Garden
First time customer. Ordered food for pickup by phone, was told price and estimated time to pickup(15 minutes). Arrived about 17 minutes later to be greeted with my food. Order crab rangoons and general tsos chicken with fried rice. Food was good, nothing out of this world, but the portions to price ratio for what I ordered I would come back and give another dish a try. Crab Rangoons were a little less flaky than one may have experienced at another restaurant but they were nonetheless palatable(possibly a thicker wonton wrapper or maybe ones that had been premade and sat). either way I was hungry and the food tasted good at the time. Located in a shopping mall with Kroger at the southwest corner of Merriman and Cherry Hill. Note it appeared they may not have been seating people for dinner inside when I came to get my food so if you are looking to eat there I may call ahead to confirm if dining inside after a certain time is an option.
Oldish looking inside the restaurant, got to love it though. And the owner is such a great guy. He over charged me last time I came in for a pop and this time when I went in he told me he over charged me and gave me a pop. He didt not have to tell me this happened or anything like that. Goes to show the character of the owner. Food is great always had good food for the most part. Angle the delivery lady is the best as well. Super nice and a great time. All of the staff here are wonderful.
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill
The food was decent, and it's a great salad bar and variety of food. The "server" brings you your drink (after our first course was complete.) (Just let us get our own drinks.) They pick up plates infrequently. It was so busy that we could hardly move. It's a decent value for what you get, but I don't think we'll go to this location again.
It was our first time going to the Golden Corral. Food was good, although not very hot, and there were hot dogs buns, but no hot dogs. The staff was kind and courteous. We were seated right away and our waitress was very prompt and attentive. The restaurant was clean, as the staff worked quickly to remove used dishes and wiped the tables down. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat a lot without damaging their wallet. We will be back.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
Never had such a terrible experience at any location. Absolutely ridiculous. First, my two year old daughter almost fell through the table on the booth because the table top wasn't even bolted to the frame! Our food took a half-hour for dine in. They had no straws, Silverware, Ketchup, or Napkins for the guests, and the proceeded to get our order wrong several times, including being out of Mac and cheese. Only two employees had a hat or a hair net, and there was no manager in sight. One employee even managed to take 2 bathroom breaks in the 30 minutes we waited for our food, which is surprising given that the urinal in the men's room was out of order, and they only had bar soap to wash your hands. I should have realized when there was a sign by the counter for the district manager with a direct number if you weren't satisfied. Promising to make it right before you leave. Promise broken, never heard a reply. Avoid this location at all costs.
I work hard for my money!!! This restaurant has poor quality of food, and poor customer services. When you place your orders, you get all the wrong food, cold food and food be missing from your orders. This restaurant is quick to charge your card for items that are sold out, but fail to communicate with customers regarding their order. When you call the restaurant to speak to management there's no one there to answer the phone and the voicemail always full !!!!! Stay away from this restaurant. # Rip Off place!!!!!!!
