Grew up eating here, and still is food is so good they are my favorite
I been coming here since a child lol if you know u know dealing wit the lil lady behind the window can be a lot but she means no harm… FOOD is AMAZING tho 👍🏽
Peking Villa
Just a brief review they are definitely quantity over quality and it's worth it. A meal is three servings no problem at all. More details when we get back from Hawaii look forward to those reviews!!
Not great, hardly edible. Packing was poor, sauce everywhere. Had to put the one meal in a different container. Consider tossing. No dining room area. Soup was the most decent thing there.
Gim Ling Restaurant
Awesome food here! The woman that owns this place is a great cook and she’s very professional. She’s kind to my kid and she gives her cookies!!! Very fresh dinner prepared each time I’ve been here.
This place used to be amazing. A lifelong staple up until the last few years. Went a long time without eating because it went downhill, but decided to try it again today. The quality of ingredients is obviously subpar, and the cook and flavor of the food is bad. They charge a little more than some other places, but wouldn’t pay highly affordable pricing for this. Chicken tasted old and frankly under cooked. Egg drop soup was meh, crackers were weird. Sweet and sour sauce tasted pretty bad and flavor was dominated by green pepper. Rice was very dry. Unfortunately, our families comments after dinner was “well it’s been awhile, and now we know.”
Canton express
First of all. There was no air condition when u walk in. 11 dollars for almond chicken and it was 11oclock am. When i got the food home. Gravy was really watery and chicken was dry and overcooked. You couldnt chew it. Terrible. No taste at all. Terrible. Do not waste t yr money
Had not been there in years as I tried the food right after this new team took over and it was very bad then. We had inedible egg drop soup and dried up almond chicken. I tried again after 5+ years and unfortunately nothing changed. The rubbery sweet and soup chicken was a mess and chicken fried rice with barely anything but rice. Not much has changed, we have no dependable Chinese restaurants around here since Moy's on Jefferson and Marter closed. The place got worse and customer lobby looks like someone's basement,
Wong's Garden
First time here, portions are pretty decent and lots of open tables. One of a few that still have indoor dinning open. Food felt like it was missing something in the taste department. Enjoyed the soup though. Not my personal favorite spot to stop and get Chinese food in the area so I'll give it 3/5 stars. Lots of parking and wasn't very busy inside. Seems like they do well in the take out business.
This food was extremely disgusting. I left because of how nasty it was. The egg rolls has no meat in it at all even though I asked before i ordered. Then when it came just a bunch of sprouts. The "duck" they served had absolutely nothing to do with duck. (see pic) . Probably didn't even have duck in it. The kids menu is a joke. My kid was also grossed out. Look at how gross the oil was that they fried the appetizer in. I've never had Chinese food this gross. They should be ashamed!
China Wok
My sesame chicken taste like it was over done, my wife's sweet and sour chicken was hard as a rock and taste burnt ,the sweet and sour sauce taste like pure vinegar. When my wife called to tell them the rude lady at China wok told her she was wrong and hung up on my wife. We will never go there again . I hope this helps people out don't waste your money
First time trying, chicken was ok but the sauce could be better! Where's the pineapple, carrots for the sweet and sour chicken?? Rice was dried out. Rolls were old and hard. It was ok, won't be back.
China Moon To-Go
Super easy to order online. Delivery arrived before quoted with bag sealed, warm food, soy sauce & a fork. I opted for the Almond Boneless Chicken combination. I’ll break the review up into the 3 sections & make sure none of the food touches ;) The egg roll was tasty, dipping sauce was sticky & delicious. Glad it came with the combo, wouldn’t order it a la cart. The fried rice. I didn’t come up with the name, it just said that it came with fried rice. I’m not sure if it was a misprint, if it was a miscommunication on the menu, if they ran out? I was served a heaping scoop of freshly cooked rice with soy sauce in it. Was it good? Yeah. Just not what I was expecting. The ABC… thick fried chicken, chopped up & served over a bed of lettuce with a sprinkle of sliced almonds. This dish is a glorified chopped chicken nugget if the gravy, served on the side falls short. The gravy was reminiscent of a place I ate at for a few decades so I may be partial but it worked for me. My only complaint was the chicken could have used a little more salt. That may sound odd when some carry out can get a little salty, but that’s just my personal opinion. Lots of places in the area to choose from, these reviews remind myself of what I’ve had & hopefully help you decide whether or not to order yourself. Either way I hope you enjoy your dinner as much as I did mine.
I ordered a Chicken Lo Mein, Wanton Soup, and spring rolls. I normal go to Gim Ling down the street but they were closed, so decided to try China Moon for the first time. Food was so terrible i only could eat a couple bites before throwing it in the garbage total waste of money. The chicken was rubbery and and the soup was very bland unlike anything i every had before.
Imperial Palace
This place has been around as long as I've been alive. It's never changed. From the gold foil wallpaper to the unique ceiling lights and don't forget the rotary payphone still hanging on the wall! Food is always exactly what you expect from quality American Chinese food. They do offer dine in service and carryout as well as delivery thru door dash. Don't forget to add the dinner rolls! Highly recommend.
It was an exceptional experience! The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and everything we ordered was bursting with flavor. The crispy spring rolls were a delightful starter, and the fried rice was a perfect complement to our meal. Overall, I highly recommend Imperial Palace for anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes!
Mayflower Chinese Gourmet
First time coming here, carry out only. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken, where's the pineapple, carrots etc..?? Chicken was overcooked, rice was plain and very dry! Egg roll was OK. Wonton soup had no favor and hard onions in it. Won't be going back, save your money!
The food is good, but it's just not worth the inconvenience anymore. Regardless of the time of day, the order is always 10-20 minutes late. There's usually only 1 person working, occasionally 2, but the service is still extremely slow. Time to find a new Chinese restaurant
