Panda Dynasty is the best food in the Kalamazoo area. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always gotten their food on my birthday. I usually get the same thing every time (beef with broccoli, sometimes with egg drop soup and crab rangoon), and whenever I do try something new, I always love that too. It’s always ready quickly, too, even though they make it fresh! If I could give more than five stars, I would.

The beef was delicious and the orange chicken was flavorful. The Szechuan chicken wasn't as spicy as I had hoped, but it wasn't bad.

Terrible experience at Kumo Hibachi Grill. We sat waiting for what felt like forever before anyone even acknowledged us. The service was sluggish and indifferent, as if we were an afterthought. When our drinks finally arrived, I took a sip of what was supposed to be lemonade—only to realize it was literally soup. Yes, actual soup instead of lemonade. At that point, it was clear that attention to detail and customer service were not priorities here. Between the long wait, poor service, and the baffling drink mix-up, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Definitely won’t be returning.

Kumo Hibachi & Sushi has a trendy and inviting atmosphere that makes a great first impression. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the vibe—our server was hard to understand and very slow, which made for a frustrating dining experience. As for the food, there were some highlights and a few letdowns. The sushi was actually quite good, but it's important to note that it's priced per piece, which adds up quickly. The steak hibachi featured choice-grade meat, so the quality wasn't quite what you'd expect at this price point. The ramen was a disappointment, made with freeze-dried noodles. While the portion was large, the quality made it hard to enjoy. The miso soup tasted more like chicken broth than traditional miso, and the salad featured less-than-fresh lettuce, though the dressing was decent. Overall, while the ambiance is cool and there are a few decent menu items, the high prices just don't reflect the quality of the food or service. There's potential here, but it feels underdelivered.

Where can I start, this place is awesome! The food is just delicious, most notably the Hibachi Salmon. The service is top notch whether hibachi or regular restraunt, and there's this one restraunt waitress that we see every time who is really cool! The hibachi chefs, they have more talent than I will ever have, and don't be surprised if they have a few tricks up their sleeve! It really hurts my heart when I see people just on their phone and ignoring the chefs. 10/10! 🍡🦐🍣🐟

The sushi and food from the kitchen was OK. Their specialty sushi rolls need more flavor. It seems they make all of them with the same 4 or 5 ingredients. No real flavor explosions or differences in texture between most of them. The salad was excellent with the meal although the tomato was bland and dry. The rest of the salad ingredients were good. Overall, the food was good and the service was adequate. Neither was extraordinary but since they are convenient, we will probably visit again.

Very great pasta place! The mac and cheese is tasty and super cheesy, but I feel it's only good when you dine in. The workers are super friendly, and tge place is really cool and decorated with photos with places across the world. It's a bit pricey. 8.5/10! 🍝

Update January 19, 2025 My husband had the beef stroganoff, and I had the new dish, lemon garlic shrimp scampi. The beef was tender and very flavorful. It had a mushroom sherry cream sauce with egg noodles. There seemed to be a lot of steak. The shrimp scampi was very good as well. It had a cream sauce with artichokes and cherry tomatoes. There seemed to be a lot of shrimp. My one critique is the artichokes. I love them, but the outside layers could have been taken out. The outside layers can't be eaten, well, I couldn't eat them...lol. Other than that, I would order it again and again. 😋 Thank you for a great meal. Japanese pan noodles with chicken is delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Always asking if we need anything. The restaurant is always clean. Will go again.

If you're craving authentic Thai cuisine, this is the spot to visit. This family-owned restaurant, which I've been frequenting since 2003, is undeniably the best Thai food in town. Even though I've moved to California, I always make it a point to stop by A Thai Cafe in Portage, Kalamazoo, whenever I visit my college student at UM. Vienna and her husband are dedicated to ensuring that every customer leaves completely satisfied with their meal. I particularly enjoy her Papaya salad, Massaman curry, Red curry, and the Tom Kha (coconut soup). The restaurant is clean and inviting, and the staff is polite and friendly. I absolutely love this place!

Amazing buffet. The food never disappoints. Every weekend the buffet changes. The looks like brown mess, but try it and you'll not believe the taste. Only reason service is low on rating is it was a buffet.

One of the best place in Kalamazoo to have Indian food. We get everything at this place with good spicy food. The waiters here are so humble and good, they treat you so good and be always smiling and talking in a good way.

All the food was exceptional! The Staff wasvery nice and helpful. Very nice place to sit and visit and have a meal. The Brussel sprouts are my favorite. The bacon macaroni is also very good.

The service was spectacular. Our waiter was amazing, he was on top of everything with food and drinks- and very kind. He had such a warm presence! Made me feel like I was eating at home. The atmosphere here was great energy. Our food was delicious. Best experience I have had dining out in years. They made my daughter's day when they sang her happy birthday too. Thank you!

Last time I ate here it was amazing. Today I ordered 2 Spicy chicken and broccoli broth bowl for takeout. They put greens in my broth bowl that don’t belong and it got soggy and slimy and ruined the entire dish. $24 down the drain

I saw the food here on a friend's social media and it just looked insanely good. I had to try it for myself, and it exceeded my expectations in every way!! I don't think I've ever had grilled chicken seasoned as well as this stuff, and any sides you go with are bound to tantalize your tastebuds. I would recommend one of the pastas, but be warned that the hot n spicy noodles + the chicken made me start sweating as I ate! (Which is a pleasant surprise, as i eat spicy 3-4 times a week) For 2 meals and a drink, the price is about $22 which you can't beat. Trust me when I say you don't want to skip over this place for that mediocre Chinese spot nextdoor. And the owner Brandon is super nice and quick on the grill! Please support this small local joint!!

You HAVE to try this insanely delicious chicken! Lots of allergy friendly options (gluten free, dairy free, egg free...) We ordered jerk chicken, fries, and mixed veggies. We got fries and plain chicken for kids. I was hoping my kids would have leftovers but even they left nothing behind. Ah-MA-ZING! I can't wait to try more flavors next time. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. The portions were great. Nothing took long to cook. We actually swung through on a road trip as a fast food option (you can order ahead online). Super quick and super tasty. My mouth is still watering. Can't wait to get to come back again.

I ordered a vegetable lo mein and a side of vegetable fried rice. I was very disappointed when I opened up the bag and discovered that instead of lo mein it was only vegetables. I've never had problems with this Great Wall China until now. Wasted $17 on vegetables I had in the fridge.

I ordered through doordash, so I know the food isn't going to come super fresh but what is this. First offz I ordered half white rice and half fried rice. I only got fried rice. Second, why does the walnut shrimp look like that? I'm guessing that's the honey sauce but I've gotten this several times and it's never looked like that. It almost looked like melted cheese and the shrimp is so pale. And the cheery on top is I didn't get my fortune cookie. I've only been here a couple times and each time my order is wrong in some way and even when I go there myself the food isn't fresh. You can tell they just threw this together. The service is always mid, like they don't really care and they just want you to go away. Some employees are great and helpful though, so it's not all bad. This is the closest one to me and I wish it was better. I guess there's a solid reason it's only 3 starts. Disappointing cause I usually enjoy other locations. 😢

Usually the best spot for me and my wife but lately i don’t even know what to say and this experience recently kinda sad that I found a huge plastic piece in my food and luckily I super observe what I’m eating and caught it before I could choke or something only reason I’m writing a review is because I live far out from Panda Express wife just works in the area.

My husband and I frequent Applebee's often when we're traveling. We had the privilege of the best experience at Applebee's in Portage Mi last week. Our Bartender, Aurora, was absolutely amazing,not only is she very knowledgeable about mixed drinks, but she's very friendly and social. Made out night out awesome! Also, praise to our waitress, Abby, very tentative to ALL our needs for dinner, glad we relied on her recommendation for the apple pie skillet! Also very polite and sociable. Great drinks,great appetizer and great conversations. We will be back!

Ordered carry out food and waited over 30 minutes PAST the pickup time to receive our order. The chicken was burnt to a crisp, there was little to no sauce on the pasta, and we were given the wrong drinks. Any experience with this location has never been pleasant carry out or dine in!
