Mui's Chinese Food Carry Out
This place is a no nonsense carryout ONLY spot. Great orange chicken and curry. There is chicken in the rice by default which is an immediate good rating. Absolutely worth trying if its your lunch break or late night.
We ordered the chicken fried rice and sesame chicken. It was our first time there. It was a nice surprise. Delicious and I'll definitely go back. The lady who served us was very kind. And it's now our new go-to for Chinese food in the area.
Penn's Thai Kitchen
I stopped in based on reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit, and I was seated and my order taken right away. I got the pineapple rice with shrimp lunch portion, and it was more than I could eat. I asked for no spice and it was perfect, deliciously seasoned but with no heat (and lots of fried egg, which I particularly enjoy). I also liked the Tom Yum soup but it was too spicy for me to eat much of it. Highly recommend.
Pad Thai curry sounded nice with beef and spicy. It wasn’t interesting dish. I’ve never had pad Thai curry and it turned out to be exactly what it sounds like pad Thai in curry sauce. It took some getting used to, but I tried to eat it. I think I like noodles that are less creamy and I have no curry. I’d like to be able to taste individual flavors of the vegetables and protein. Won’t be ordering this one again. Quiet on a Tuesday night at dinner time. I like that the menus are at the table and the service was quick and responsive.
CHI FAN
Went here for lunch with my mom on her recommendation and now I'm really sad I don't live closer! I got the chi fan noodles with chicken and a boba milk tea and they were both *spectacular* (although I do recommend springing for the double sauce on the noodles). Everything on the menu is *very* customizable, and they have a ton of protein options, including vegetarian (maybe vegan? I'm not sure). They have a great points per dollar spent rewards system, so if you go there often you can really rack up a discount. The staff were super nice and brought out our lunches and drinks instead of just calling our name, and the bowls were sturdy paperboard which feels so much better to eat out of than plastic or styrofoam. Our meals came with both chopsticks and fork by default, so no shame either way! 10 stars, would absolutely go again if I'm in the area. Hard recommend!!
The food was delicious, and the service was amazing! I love how many options there are! Would definitely recommend! The only this was that the price added up a little fast, but my family and I thought it was worth it for 3 people. I can't wait to go again! 🤗
Szechuan Empire North
Absolutely delicious!!!! The ginger garlic brown sauce on the chicken broccoli is to die for. We drove 45 mins to eat here. I don’t understand the negative reviews … they are wrong. They do not know what to order. But no place is perfect so if you did have a bad experience just try it again and also go sit in the restaurant. We had such a wonderful experience. The older woman was so kind and we spilled water not once but 2s. 5kids and 2 adults. She also gave us a HUGE bowl of the ginger garlic sauce. We also got the shrimp and broccoli and almond chicken. 5/5 Thank you
My friend and I have been desperate to find good Chinese food in the area - we’ve been disappointed by the food at some others. I I have passed this place in the car all the time and we finally tried it - the general tso chicken was crisp, spicy, and delicious. The egg roll and crab Rangoon were crispy and flavorful. Loved the egg drop soup!! And my friend loves everything she got as well. We had an elderly woman greet us and get our food. She was kind, quick, and we were in and out with our food in 5 minutes. This is my new go to Chinese restaurant. So glad I tried it.
Far East Chinese and Thai Food
I ordered the Drunken Noodles, with extra green onions and steamed tofu. The service was quick and friendly, and the steamed tofu was perfectly prepared. However, there were very few pieces of it, and hardly any vegetables. The sauce was extremely sweet and syrupy - not the typical sauce used for this dish. Then, I nearly choked on a rubber band that had apparently been cooked with my food. They asked that I bring it back to the restaurant, and gave me a full refund. They were nice about it, but I decided to leave the review because of the poor quality of the food, and the many other options for Thai food in the nearby area.
I truly hesitate before giving bad reviews because I hate being the reason to deter business away from someone’s livelihood, but as a consumer I would like to spend my money where I enjoy what I paid for. Unfortunately the chicken chop Suey was extremely bland and the chicken tasted a day old. The chicken fried rice was very dry and flavorless as well. The eggroll tasted very weird not like any eggroll I’ve ever had. The noodles in broth didn’t taste like anything but that’s what they call their egg noodle lo mein. The staff is very friendly. Does Sesame chicken sauce was OK but they don’t put enough sauce and the chicken is kind of dry.
Panda Express
Great Orange chicken. Service was prompt and friendly. The selection was great. Many good things to choose from. Ample parking and lots of tables . Its in the Oakland mall food court.
I don’t even know how yall got 4 stars tbh. I came through drive thru and I gave the beef and broccoli a try. It was atrocious. It was a bowl full of hard rice soggy broccoli and 3/4 pieces of alone beef. I threw it in the garbage the biggest waste of money of my life. I should’ve known better
