Naing Myanmar Family Restaurant
Awesome spot for authentic food in Michigan! Worth the stop! We got the garlic chicken plate, the mango sticky rice, the Tom yum soup and a tea leaf salad. Unfornately the tea leaf salad wasn’t added to our bag but the portions were so generous that we were satisfied anyways (+ with left overs). The chicken was so flavorful and it came with a side of some type of tangy fish sauce. I had heard a lot about the soup before coming and it definitely lived up to the hype- so flavorful and packed with ingredients and noodles on the side. The place has a market attached filled with hard to find ingredients and snacks, awesome to browse while you wait for your take out. There is no customer seating for dining in. Will be back to explore more of the menu.
The food is delicious and it's family owned, which I love. They are take out only but have a small store that has some items I love. I tried lychee aloe juice. It was my first time trying that flavor, but I loved it. They have odds and ends and items that would allow you to embrace more of their culture while getting quality odds and ends. I used my walker and was easy to get around. They have a bathroom inside. If you need to wait in your car, especially if a rough day with disability they are willing and kind enough to walk it to your car. When the young lady did, she was so quiet. We were going to go back in ten minutes but looked up and she right there holding are steaming hot food with a smile. I love seafood, and my dish was delicious. The spring rolls were amazing, and sauce is a must. They have a menu with pictures if needed as well.
U Like Chinese Restaurant
$13.40 was my total Bourbon chicken lunch special + 2 egg rolls (no drink) Some of the chicken was over cooked and dry. The entire dish was covered in a sweet syrup flavored sauce that was low quality. Reminded me of store brand pancake syrup. Rice is a basic yellow (fried) rice. Pretty bland with what appears to be small pieces of onion and cabbage. I was unable to pickup any flavor other than the syrupy sauce which was off-putting. Egg rolls are a very low grade, even for a hole in the wall Chinese place like this. Chewy, grainy and with an almost synthetic ginger flavor. Dining area was cluttered with boxes and what appeared to be the staff's personal items. The first table was wobbly and all the tops appeared dirty. When my order was ready the staff called me to pick it up instead of serving me. Not a big deal, just not what you'd expect. The tray my food was served on was also dirty with dried bits of food. Staff argued. Bathroom out of order. --- I won't recommend it and I won't return.
The health department need to investigate this place! I bought beef fried rice and BBQ boneless spare ribs and it was terrible! They charged a lot for small and the food ( meat ) was old and spoiled and BBQ source was watered down with barely no taste! The rice and beef smelled spoiled! I will never go there again! I’ve thrown everything in the trash
