Panda Bistro
If you're looking for a very lovely hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant, Panda Bistro is a very nice secluded lunch destination. There is in-door seating with about 5 seats. The food is a pretty solid B+ which is pretty good for what the restaurant is. Plenty of parking and it's generally pretty quiet in the restaurant.
This spot is right by my house so thought we’d give it a try. For a little cheap Chinese food restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. The meat quality was great! I’m super picky about Chinese food chicken and this was the real deal;) I had the General Tso combo, my husband had the happy Family, and kids had the teriyaki. Servings are good and the sauces…superb! There was only one wonton in the side that came with the meal but it was a side so no biggie. The interior was pretty cute and clean. The lady taking my order both times was really friendly as well. I hate it when they rush you!
Bell's Tavern
Had dinner with friends on Valentines day. Very nice atmosphere. It smelled SO good when we walked in. Cocktail's were great. Good service. The food was great. My Veal chop was cooked perfect. I would definitely go back. The only reason for the 4 star rating. The polenta was terrible. It was bland and tasted like cardboard.
A cozy gem! The food is always so delicious and fulfilling. The wine menu always has some great hits. The seating is cozy and the service is friendly. It’s the kind of place you bring your friends/family when you want a reliable, delicious meal & a cozy, friendly experience. You may have to wait a little bit, as it is a small spot, but it’s well worth the wait.
Giuseppe's Ristorante
Easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. The bread tastes so fresh and the insides are flavortown. If you have a history of thinking “ this sandwich is too dry” get extra cheese. You have to do that literally everywhere stop faulting a quality business over preference.
Oh my goodness. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella, red peppers and more on homemade bread and it was out of this world. My husband got the egg and pepper sandwich and thought it only could have been better if he had added a protein. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the are. The woman who was working there was very friendly. There was metered parking available right out front. And you could either eat there or take your food to go.
Catanzareti Pizza
•Update to add: if you haven’t tried their grandma pie which is a square garlicky perfection, please do. It is outstanding and incredibly delicious. You’re welcome ;) Great place for a local pie. Their pizza is our go-to for our weekly pizza fix. They were closed a day recently and we were forced to try another Lambertville pizzeria. What a disappointment. This place will always have our business. Fresh and delicious.
Absolute amazing pizza. Very kind and genuine service. Will choose this place every time I come to new hope/ lambertville.
El Tule
Our waitress was great. There was a huge group that was sat next to us and the owner took the time to explain each of the menu items they were offering to the group. They also asked if there were any allergies to that they should be aware of before taking orders. The food was also insanely good. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be stopping by.
Great place making some fresh tasty dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere is light hearted and festive without being annoying. In the spring and summer, the outdoor seating would be enjoyable. Prices are fare as well.
Ichiban Sushi & Chinese Cuisine
**Beware** Chicken was very undercooked. Pink in the middle and cold to the touch. Had to toss the whole meal. I called seeking resolution, and was told “some pink is common when frying chicken. It’s dark meat. If you bring it here and we can confirm it’s raw, we’ll give you store credit.” [we had used DoorDash] IMO the situation was handled poorly on the phone. Who I assume was the manager had to use the young person who was speaking to me as proxy for language, so something may have been lost there. But i gathered from the tone that the non-English speaking manager was dismissive and skeptical by default.
This is the only place we order from. Food is really really good. Generous portions. Reasonable prices. Husband loves the sushi. Quality food. Love it here.
China Star
Absolutely amazing! Everything, from the dishes to the service, is impeccable. The flavors are incredibly authentic, with generous portions and delicious taste. The staff are very warm and attentive. The dishes come out quickly, and clean and cozy. Highly recommended this place!
So, weird experience. Admittedly I was running 15 minutes late to pick up my to- go order, but they called me, and I was like 'yes I have a to-go with you is everything ok? Are you out of a dish?' "Oh no, just letting you know it's ready" 'yes I know, I'm in the gas station next door'....geez. I get it people call off orders, but she kept pushing...and then I've never been there before and they have no lights on but the very small open light, the name of the place isn't even lit up! And the cashier was pleasant, ya know, here's your food, I said happy new year, no response. And then I get home and had to salt the driveway real quick amd get a second call! It's a guy and he says 'you have a pick up with us?' I was like 'yeah I already picked it up! Am I missing food or something? I haven't checked my bag yet and I know your closing soon.' "Oh no no just double checking " hm ok. Click. Whatever. So I run in and it's all there. So the meat for the General Tsaos and sesame chicken was tough and chewy, but the regular and house fried rice were fantastic! And the crab Rangoon and 1 of 2 egg rolls were basic. 4/10. Ended up just focusing on the rice and rangoons for our new years dinner sadly. Communication could be better.
