Chee Peng Chinese Restaurant
Chee Peng is a quality small town restaurant, the staff is well mannered and friendly. Food here has always been of good quality. the dinner itself is dated and ready for a revamp imo. The bathroom need to most attention for remodeling. The crab lagoons are the best I've ever had. Bring yourself or your family.
The Inside of this place is disgusting. Water damage to ceiling and mold growing. Table was covered with cheap vinyl and underneath was filthy (see attached pics). It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Service: Our waitress was friendly, however somewhat inattentive. My daughter and I were the only patrons in the restaurant and she spilled some water, it was almost 15 minutes before the waitress came back so I could ask for napkins. Food: egg drop soup was over salted and had almost no veggies in it, but tasted okay. The "general chicken" was overly sweet and had very little heat. The chicken was mushy and underdone. I have had general chicken many many times in my life, and I LOVE it, This was the worst I've ever had. I had to smother it in sweet and sour sauce to eat it. I traveled almost 30 miles to try this place because of the great reviews. I was severely disappointed - please read these reviews with a grain of salt. I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough but this place is not worth your time. You will get better Chinese food from a mall food court or an airport :(
