Pi's Thai Cuisine
I used to frequent this location often, especially during my pregnancy with my son over 22 years ago. Throughout the years, I’ve witnessed many employees come and go, but one thing that remained the same was the consistently poor attitude of the owner and the older woman who typically works behind the counter. Due to the unpleasant customer service, I made the decision years ago to stop patronizing this establishment. However, today, while in the area, I decided against my better judgment, to give the place another try after nearly a 10-year hiatus. To my surprise, I was greeted by a young gentleman who took my order. I was very clear and specific about what I wanted. After placing my order, the older woman appeared once again. The young man allowed me to dine in but directed me to a specific table, rather than allowing me to choose where I preferred to sit. Once seated, my meal was brought out, hot and freshly prepared, with noodles added to my dish. However, approximately 15 minutes into my meal, the older woman came out and abruptly told me I needed to leave because they needed to “clean up.” I explained that I was not yet finished eating and asked why I wasn’t being allowed to enjoy my meal. She curtly responded, “We have to clean up.” I then began packing up my food, only for her to further disrespect me by requesting an additional fee of $1.00 for the carryout container after I had already paid $25.90 for my meal. Needless to say, I will never patronize this business again, regardless of how good the food may be. A simple lesson in basic customer service and human decency goes a long way. I hope this message serves as a reminder that how you treat people matters. God is always watching.
Νegative reviews are from people who don't know anything about Thai food. This place is predominantly take out, cash only. If you're expecting a sit down dinner, this isn't your spot. It is, however, the best Thai food I have had in the United States, let alone Metro Detroit. This is Thai-style food, the closest I've found in this country to what you'd get in Thailand. If you want American style Thai food that's more expensive and less good, go to one of the many American-style Thai places in Metro Detroit. If you want great food and are willing to adjust your worldview slightly, come get dinner here. You won't be disappointed. I've ordered nearly everything on the menu and never had a bad meal.
All Fresh Fish & Seafood
Hi everyone. I experienced this place for the first time yesterday. I would just like to say that the fish was not that fresh. I ordered a pickerel fish uncooked, just bone and scaled. When I got home I had to still scrape scales off my fish. The eyes on the pickerel was only half clear. Whenever you buy from a seafood market the eyes on the fish should be as white as possible. I would suggest to customers to cook your own food, that way you’re not eating food cooked in everyone’s oil. The fish was a 6 out of 10 but they could do better.
ACTUALLY My Whole Family Goes To This FISH & Seafood It's Located in A good Area My Food Is Always Fresh / Hot Also They Have A Hugh Sign Saying. They Accept The EBT Which Is A Healthy Choice For Fish I Love this Place The Staff Are Friendly And There's Always A Wait But The Staff gets You In And Out In A Fast Timely Mannor
Mabel Gray
We went to Mabel Gray today and had the tasting menu — and wow, everything was incredible. Every single dish was full of flavor, super creative, and just really well done. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love and thought into what they’re doing. The staff were amazing too — super friendly, helpful, and on point with the timing. Honestly, we enjoyed every moment. The food, the service, the vibe — everything was just right. Can’t wait to go back again!
Finally got to try this restaurant that’s been on my list for what feels like years, and I was not disappointed—actually mad at myself for not coming sooner. Reservations can be difficult to come by (I recommend trying two weeks out to be safe), so I snagged an early dinner reservation (4 PM) and was seated promptly. This restaurant has their service down to astonishing precision. The menu was very diverse and well-curated, and the server knew everything there was to know. **Note:** The menu changes frequently, so the items pictured may not be available when you visit. Every course was absolutely amazing. Dining at Mabel Gray is an experience everyone should have—ASAP!**
China One Chinese Restaurant
A decent Chinese restaurant in the Warren area. Came here with some friends and did carry out. The service was good, very friendly and super fast. You get your own sauces so you always get enough which is nice. The place also has that super small take out only family vibe, super dope. The food is where they stumbled for me. I had the beef in curry sauce and an order of spring rolls. There was very little beef and very little flavor. The curry also said spicy on the menu and was not spicy at all. Even a quart with the entire side of rice it came with wasn't very filling, and I don't eat a ton. The spring rolls were good. Nothing special, but not bad. Also it was $15 for one entree and a spring roll, not the worst value. But not the best. Overall not terrible but I've had a lot of better Chinese in the area.
The ABC(almond boneless chicken) although not really Chinese… and Detroit style was horrible. The sauce(gravy) was a soy sauce thickened blah.. it was served over undercooked vegetables. The “egg roll” was a fried wonton wrapper stuffed with raw shredded cabbage. I understand how ordered what is considered “Detroit style American Chinese” but get with it.. make it edible. Tasted like plastic and the oil had not been changed in the fryer! The picture had the chicken removed
