China City
I heard that China City had good food so we decided to grab some take out. It's a small little restaurant that I never noticed before because it's tucked into a little strip mall. I'm glad we stopped. We ordered curry chicken and shrimp and vegetables. Everyone there was very friendly, the service was quick. The serving sizes are pretty large. But I'm good with leftovers. The food was fresh and very delicious. I was even happy with my fortune. So win, win 😉 I definitely recommend and will be returning.
Good food, well sized portions. The fried rice wasn't what I expected. Just brown rice. Overall dinner was ok.
My Kitchen
We typically get My Kitchen to go, but chose to eat in this week. The food is amazing! The dry pots are full of variety and flavor. The tweens loved the "slurpy noodles". There was no specific "kids menu" that we saw, but the meals are big enough to split.
I got mapo tofu for takeout here since it’s one of my favorite Chinese dishes. This wasn’t as spicy as some renditions I’ve had before, but it tasted fairly authentic and still had some heat. The food quality struck me as being good, and it’s cool to find some decent Szechuan food in GR. The place itself is pretty spartan, but people were trickling in. It’s a pretty nondescript place in a strip mall on Eastern, so you wouldn’t really expect Chinese food of this type there, but they don’t disappoint. Give them a try if you’re into Szechuan cuisine.
