Hong Kong 1
Customer service is great, the inside is very nice and clean. Food was fresh and very good. I would recommend trying the general Paul’s chicken.
I’m not sure who General Paul is but, boy, his chicken is spectacular. It’s so nice to find a local Chinese place that is consistently good and fresh. Soups are great and everything is always made fresh and delicious. And it only takes 10 minutes to get your order! Trust me, make this your weekly carry out spot.
Thai Garden Restaurant
I came here all the time growing up and just recently visited again for my birthday. The food here is AMAZING. I recommend getting SP10 with chicken (mild or medium) with the shrimp chips! Delicious!
Absolutely delightful! I savored the exquisite flavors of drunken noodles accompanied by spring rolls, served in pairs. Each dish was impeccably prepared, a testament to the chef's skill. What truly impressed me was their commitment to eco-consciousness, opting for paper packaging and minimizing waste with compact bags. The drunken noodles boasted ample sauce, tantalizing my taste buds with every bite. While I opted for a mild spice level this time, I eagerly anticipate indulging in a spicier rendition during my next visit. Highly recommended for those seeking a culinary experience that excels in both taste and sustainability. They are take out only, however you can order ahead and eat onsite if you want.
May's Bangkok Express
My first visit in over a decade. I remembered it being mediocre then, and it's not better now. I decided to try the Pad See-Ew, and got the wettest, soggiest thing I've been served. Seriously, most places' curries are usually not this wet. I don't know what is wrong with everyone giving this good reviews - there's a much better Thai restaurant a few doors down! The only reason I was here, not there, being that they were on vacation. The chicken was overcooked, like it was pre-cooked and just added to the sauce. The noodles were fine, in spite of there being nowhere near enough of them for the amount of sauce. They gave me fish sauce when I asked, but it's one of the cheap brands because it's incredibly salty (even for fish sauce) and tastes off instead of funky. The sauce had a mildly soapy aroma at times that didn't help matters any. And no, it wasn't cilantro - there isn't any, and I love cilantro. The attached photos show the dish as served, the wet remainder after, and the napkins after wiping my beard multiple times. In short, don't waste your time or money. Go anywhere else.
The first time I had this food was a week ago and it was soooo good, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Went back today and ordered the same thing and it’s good but not as good as the first time. Maybe it’s a different cook there today. Still some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. This will be my go to spot now.
Got Pho
The first picture you see is what enticed me to visit this restaurant. Someone posted this picture which is exactly the way I expect the vermicelli bowl to look like the second picture is what I got and is my picture- you can only imagine my disappointment.- no herbs, no cilantro, no peanuts… in fact, there are several pictures posted where you see the herbs, the peanuts and the hearty portion of protein… Ours looked absolutely plain next to this picture - it tasted good, but there’s good Vietnamese vermicelli and then there’s great- I wouldn’t return for this plain dish. Pho lucky is right by my house and I could have gotten the same plain vermicelli from them- I’m intrigued to try some of their Thai dishes. And perhaps that’s what it is. Maybe this is a Thai spin on Vietnamese vermicelli but again it was the picture that made me think I was getting one thing and what I actually got didn’t look anything like it so I was eh… I paid an extra two dollars for the shrimp and pork, but there were only maybe five little tiny pieces of pork-very lacking in the protein The fresh rolls tasted very fresh and were put together nicely. They use more of a hoisin sauce than. You get two nice sized rolls for six dollars so that wasn’t too bad- sorry, the picture only shows half of the fresh roll😂 Service was great. The lady who waited on us was so nice and refilled our water frequently. The restaurant was very clean.
Got Pho is one of my very favorite restaurants! Me and my girlfriend go at least once a week, and everything is always amazing! I love the chicken pho - it’s delicious and very affordable! The staff are all so kind and helpful as well!! I always recommend Got Pho to everyone who asks about what’s good in Ferndale!!
Inyo Restaurant & Lounge
We have not been here for a few years and so happy we decided to come back! Tempura was delicious and you get two types of sauces, one sweet and one savory. The hard maki spring roll was also yummy, great sauce. For sushi, we tried the Inyo 2.0, block roll and dragon roll. Highly recommend them all, especially the fun crunchy block roll. Our server Julia knew exactly what we wanted before we did!
My friends and I love Inyo! We never have a bad experience. The food is always delicious and the service is always on point! We got some of our usual favorites: steak bites, sushi rolls and other apps. The featured sushi roll is the Dynamite roll and it comes to the table ABLAZE! 🔥🔥🍣🍱🍚 They have great drinks too - we just didn’t get them this time around. Highly recommended; right in the heart of Ferndale!
Asian Bistro Restaurant
Mongolian beef lunch special. Pretty good. Fresh veggies tender meat good amount of sauce. Rice is ok but kinda dry. Egg drop soup was really good. Not bad for $13 ish. Pictured is after a few bites.
We ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles with hot tea. The overall wok hei was palatable and pleasant. The meat wasn't stringy tough but it wasn't overly tender either. There were a lot of onions in the Mongolian Beef but there was a lot of beef too. The flavor of Orange was delightful as with the Singapore Rice noodles. Just remember to stay away from the fortune cookies, mine was so stale I ended up spitting back out.
Kowloon Inn
We were getting drinks at Fridge Brewery and my daughter wanted some white rice before the food trucks opened. We sent her to Kowloon and she came back with a $15 dollar box of rice. Unbelievable! Overpriced white rice. Not fried, no meat or veggies. Just white rice. Same thing would cost $5-$7 anywhere. Very disappointed. 😔
Horrible take out dinner! Three different kinds of deep fried shrimp, chicken & something else I don’t recognize. One chicken dish had a sauce & the rest of meal was rice & mixed vegetables but all very dry & no soy sauce or anything else. Won’t go back there ever!
