Empire Dynasty
It’s my favorite Chinese restaurant! They have a lot of delicious dishes, some are spicy, some are not. All of them are yummy.
Disappointed. The page says serves vegan dishes. 2 choices -steamed mixed vegetables with or without tofu. No rice, no sauce. 13.55. It would be so much better if this was stir fried and served with rice. Maybe a spring roll?
Wing's Gardens
Only things I don't like is that they no longer have the rolls And the ridiculous prices for add-ons like green onions. That's ridiculous. That should be an automatic
ZERO STARS.Nasty 🤮 people. Nasty service. I found a BUG in my food and when I took it right back up there I live in the neighborhood they would not prepare me a new meal or give me my money back. THEY TOLD ME I DID IT TO GET FREE FOOD. All I ordered was shrimp fried rice. It was demeaning to a repeat customer. I will NEVER eat here again. Go where they value customers and the business they receive. It’s unethical and unacceptable. Please find another restaurant to eat at. My family has been eating here for years. What a disappointment.
Tai Fai
I’ve only been here once and tried three dishes, so my review is based solely on those. I ordered the veggie lo mein, and I’m not sure why they left so much liquid in the box—I couldn’t tell if I ordered noodles or noodle soup. They had to wrap it four times in saran wrap, and I’m not joking—I wish I had taken a photo before unwrapping it. My boyfriend got the sesame chicken with fried rice. The fried rice tasted a bit old, but everything else was okay. The best thing was the baked avocado—definitely the highlight of the meal. This is one of those places where the food looks great, but looks can be deceiving.
This is a really simple Korean restaurant. The menu is small but everything on it was really really good. We just stopped in to check it out and maybe split something small. It all looked good so we ordered 5 dishes and all were great. We ordered 1 miso soup and they brought out 5. Service was also extremely fast and on top of everything. My husband passed out a plate of dumplings and before he could find a spot to set the empty plate on the table they were already there to clear it. This might be our new easy go to date night.
Hong Kong 1
Customer service is great, the inside is very nice and clean. Food was fresh and very good. I would recommend trying the general Paul’s chicken.
I’m not sure who General Paul is but, boy, his chicken is spectacular. It’s so nice to find a local Chinese place that is consistently good and fresh. Soups are great and everything is always made fresh and delicious. And it only takes 10 minutes to get your order! Trust me, make this your weekly carry out spot.
Providence Coney island
Tiffany was our server today, and she genuinely cared about delivering excellent service with a friendly flair. I ordered the vegetarian skillet over waffle fries instead of hashbrowns, which the staff seemed to get a kick out of as no one had ordered that way before. The little one wanted one egg scrambled and one egg fried light. They didn't complain about this tweak either. We found the place very accommodating with lots of regulars. The food was quick and satisfying. I look forward to Tiffany assisting us again.
Highly recommended! I love the staff, the food and the comfort home style atmosphere. 10/10
Oak Park Market & 7 Manhattan Restaurant
Really glad to have a store like this in my neighborhood. Considering there are no other fresh markets around or decent restaurants with in walking distance (yet) this truly is a gem! A lot of fresh ingredients, specialty items, and the restaurant counter in the back is a nice touch! The garlic that came with my chicken shawarma was the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back to do more shopping for sure!
The food was amazing the chicken and the fish and the sandwiches were very good they were just right they know what there doing must try.
NUBIAN TROPICAL CUISINE
Definitely is real authentic African food. Food was very fresh and delicious. I enjoyed it
Waited over 15 minutes before anyone even took my order, and they were out of a lot of things so I didn't get what I truly wanted to. The few workers I spoke to were pleasant and they did at least offer a free fataya (meat filled pastry) while I waited for them to make me something else that they did have available. Total time waiting for my food: a little over an hour! 😮💨. I ended up getting two beef shawarmas, an order of fatayas(comes with 5pcs), and two bissap/hibiscus drinks. The shawarma was a little cold and just okay. Fatayas with the dipping sauce was delicious though and the juice is good. It's inside of a market that could use some updating/TLC or a deep cleaning and better organization, not sure if I'd go back since there's no way to know if they will have other menu options next time.
May's Bangkok Express
My first visit in over a decade. I remembered it being mediocre then, and it's not better now. I decided to try the Pad See-Ew, and got the wettest, soggiest thing I've been served. Seriously, most places' curries are usually not this wet. I don't know what is wrong with everyone giving this good reviews - there's a much better Thai restaurant a few doors down! The only reason I was here, not there, being that they were on vacation. The chicken was overcooked, like it was pre-cooked and just added to the sauce. The noodles were fine, in spite of there being nowhere near enough of them for the amount of sauce. They gave me fish sauce when I asked, but it's one of the cheap brands because it's incredibly salty (even for fish sauce) and tastes off instead of funky. The sauce had a mildly soapy aroma at times that didn't help matters any. And no, it wasn't cilantro - there isn't any, and I love cilantro. The attached photos show the dish as served, the wet remainder after, and the napkins after wiping my beard multiple times. In short, don't waste your time or money. Go anywhere else.
The first time I had this food was a week ago and it was soooo good, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Went back today and ordered the same thing and it’s good but not as good as the first time. Maybe it’s a different cook there today. Still some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. This will be my go to spot now.
Got Pho
The first picture you see is what enticed me to visit this restaurant. Someone posted this picture which is exactly the way I expect the vermicelli bowl to look like the second picture is what I got and is my picture- you can only imagine my disappointment.- no herbs, no cilantro, no peanuts… in fact, there are several pictures posted where you see the herbs, the peanuts and the hearty portion of protein… Ours looked absolutely plain next to this picture - it tasted good, but there’s good Vietnamese vermicelli and then there’s great- I wouldn’t return for this plain dish. Pho lucky is right by my house and I could have gotten the same plain vermicelli from them- I’m intrigued to try some of their Thai dishes. And perhaps that’s what it is. Maybe this is a Thai spin on Vietnamese vermicelli but again it was the picture that made me think I was getting one thing and what I actually got didn’t look anything like it so I was eh… I paid an extra two dollars for the shrimp and pork, but there were only maybe five little tiny pieces of pork-very lacking in the protein The fresh rolls tasted very fresh and were put together nicely. They use more of a hoisin sauce than. You get two nice sized rolls for six dollars so that wasn’t too bad- sorry, the picture only shows half of the fresh roll😂 Service was great. The lady who waited on us was so nice and refilled our water frequently. The restaurant was very clean.
Got Pho is one of my very favorite restaurants! Me and my girlfriend go at least once a week, and everything is always amazing! I love the chicken pho - it’s delicious and very affordable! The staff are all so kind and helpful as well!! I always recommend Got Pho to everyone who asks about what’s good in Ferndale!!
China City Restaurant
Serving absolute BLAND and disgusting trash. Not worth half the money I paid for it!. Ordered Egg drop soup and it had no green onions, no flavor and random wontons included. My double combo special with shrimp egg foo yung, mixed vegetables with a side of chicken fried rice was delivered dripping wet to my door. The mixed vegetable sauce spilled throughout the bag making packages and the egg rolls I ordered wet, the chicken fried rice was bland and Not even fried. The mixed vegetables and egg foo yung were the most edible items; Egg foo yung was large serving with big pieces of shrimp inside (though gravy was cold). Last part of order was General tso chicken with veg fried rice - husband expected low quality so he didn’t complain. Waste of money, waste of time. This used to be a good restaurant it’s not worth a 2nd chance.
China City Chinese food was horrible🤑🤑. I ordered a simple shrimp Lo- mein🤮🤮🤢 and what i got was lots of spaghetti noodles with fake shrimp🤢🤢 no sauce. I CAN'T FIND GOOD CHINESE FOOD IN MICHIGAN NOWHERE🤔🤔🤔🤢🤮🤑
