China Garden Restaurant
We've only ever done takeout, so I can't speak for the buffet, but everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff were great. We ordered pretty close to closing, and yet they still made our food quickly and accurately.
The Chow Mein was nothing but onions and no noodles. The crab rangoons did not come with sauce to dip in and tasted really funny. The sweet and sour chicken also did not come with sauce. My partner thinks that he was probably given the wrong order.
Golden China
Golden China is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and relaxing—perfect for a casual outing or a special night. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. I tried their Combo D seafood boil, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on, and the seafood was perfectly cooked. If you’re a seafood lover, this is a must-try! I definitely recommend coming here you won’t be disappointed!
Amazing food' didn't expect just how good! My Generals Chicken was still crispy under a great sauce, the lagoons went so fast I couldn't even get a picture. The doughnuts were still steaming when they were served! The service was great, we'll be back!!
Oriental Garden
Was just ok. Food was served on paper plates and takeout containers. Had only one person out front so service was a little slow. Take out diners were priority. Seems backwards to me. I would take care of the customers who took the time to dine in. Anyway, it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. I had the General Tso's. It wasn't very spicy at all. Good, but not spicy. Crab Rangoon was ok. The wanton wrappers were quit a bit thicker than most places. Tasted like frozen and fried instead of handmade in house. Still wasn't bad.
We are from out of town and thought we would gamble on the OG. Was delightful, fresh tasting, and quiet. Seem they have a lot of togo business. Walked in, and I thought maybe this was a mistake ( we was looking for a buffet), but it wasn't available, idk?? I'm glad we stayed. Hunan Chicken was very good, spicy! Fried Pork Dumplings were good, oil must be really fresh, and you taste the pork. Wife said here Sweet and Sour Chicken tasted good as well. The same goes for their Egg Rolls, so good tasting, not an oily taste. The Lady's inside were friendly and nice.
New China Wok
Just off 71 hwy, barely in Berthoud; tiny, locally owned, and sometimes closed for months. It is the best Chinese food I have found in the metro area. Mostly carry-out and an eat-in blue collar lunch crowd. As a single lady, I usually spend about $30 (including tip) for a lunch meal with rice and egg roll and get side orders of 6 crab Rangoon and 8 dumplings to eat on for an entire weekend. Tastes amazing every time. Rotate between shrimp in garlic sauce (brown) or lobster sauce (white).
I don't feel 5 stars is even enough. They have the most amazing cashew sauce for their springfield style cashew chicken! I live in a different state but I WILL be back! Even if I have to drive the 4 hours, just for their chinese!!
China King
I have enjoyed their food but they make it pretty hard to actually eat there. Take out only, hard time getting them on the phone to place an order, seems they don’t manage their online presence well (sometimes closed when online says they’re open). Over all wish they would try a little harder to actually serve some food.
Served hot and pretty tasty. Seems to do good business. Cheap dining utensils and Styrofoam plates but affordable pricing. Good crab Rangoon, rice and General Tso chicken. My family liked the dumplings the best
China Wok
Best Chinese food in Harrisonville for me. Nice staff, clean restaurant for the most part, food has flavor and is served hot in large portions, free hot and cold tea. For me the sauce was a little too much sauce on my general chicken but that is better than not enough. I'd go back.
My wife and I had a less than stellar experience. We were craving Chinese so we ordered and she went to pick it up. Upon, getting home to indulge on our Friday night treat, we found the Tso chicken to be so over cooked it was crunchy throughout like there wasn’t even chicken inside the breading and the rice was hard like it wasn’t cooked. Where this use to be our favorite spot in town for Chinese it is quickly loosing my vote.
The Lin's
We went to eat there tonight and spit more food out than we ate. Got mtn dew that tastes NOTHING like mtn dew. Wasted my money and walked away hungry!
Very pleased! This location is clean, affordable and yummy. I've always liked pre-pay restaurants so it was nice being able to eat and not have to think about the bill. There was also no pressure to hurry. The food was hot and fresh. The bathrooms were clean. There are self-serve soda fountain drinks, coffee and hot tea. The sauces are on a separate table with the fortune cookies. There is also an option for disposable utensils/plates. All the workers were wearing masks! Great job! We'll be here again when we are in the area.
China's Best Buffet
So I would love to start this off by saying the reviews of this restaurant have greatly misdirected me about this restaurant. So actually very clean on the inside and a quiet atmosphere. It’s also nicely lit on the inside and I feel like I can see no problem. The buffet area was also quite clean. Now I wouldn’t say the food was cold however it wasn’t sweating from being fresh. Despite that the fast of everything was very good. And I personally loved their take on the honey chicken. Also you must try their beef and broccoli dish because the meat was very tender. Another thing I absolutely must mention about their food is the crunchy noodles ARE NOT stale. Unlike the other Chinese restaurant across the street of this place, their noodles had a satisfying crunch to it. I am very thankful for that. As for the service we were greeted right when we came in the door but did not exchange more words other than “sign here” and “thank you” Nothing that I would lower my rating for to be honest. Very polite and straight to the point. In conclusion I truly think more people should give this a try because I would rank this number two in the Asian food category for Logansport. If the reviews are the reason you have not went yourself yet, take this as a sign to just go there. Very worth it and will come here more. Ps. So good that we decided to get take out as well.
Went for the first time today right after 11 for lunch. Sweet and sour Chicken was cold, chicken wings were so hard to bite let alone chew. We took a 3 bites of our food and just left after spending $22 to eat lunch.
Chinese Wok
Pretty unhappy with my order and customer service today. I order alot from here but had an issue today with food quality and very limited help. Thought maybe a new cook but no. My garlic chicken had 6 pieces of chicken(not the norm here) and my soup had no tofu or black fungus. Also not a full container. Only mushrooms and broth. Very unusual. I order same for months. Called them and they said, "I watched him put chicken in and it should be more than 6 pieces " I'll add chicken and tofu on next order. Not at all happy. They should have resent food or refunded. Probably not ordering again.
Pretty disappointed with the food. Lots of fat in the pork and not much flavor. Definitely not spicy. The chicken had a lot of hard pieces. The crab Rangoon was good but I probably won't go back just for that.
Panda Express
Love Panda Express for fast and fresh food on the healthier side. My go-to is a bowl with half white rice/half vegetables 😋 with whatever entree you like. The cream cheese ragoons were fresh and this restaurant was very clean, including the high chairs.
The food was just ok. I would say if you're looking for something a little different but still fast and budget friendly, this is a good place. Our cashier was friendly. The food area was pretty clean and the restrooms were clean and updated. Some of the food had definitely been on the heat rail too long.
Taste of China
I was greeted professionally when I arrived to pay for my order. My food was packaged like other higher end restaurants, the food was packaged so well, that nothing spilled on the way home. The food tasted unbelievably good and fresh. Keep up the great work new management!
I love the new dishes on the menu! Their vegetarian options, especially the General Tso’s tofu, are absolutely delicious. The customer service is excellent; the staff is attentive, friendly, and quick to respond.
Sunrise Chinese Restaurant
Got food for my gma and I, didn’t finish mine so I took it home only to find out it was severely undercooked.
I went for a late for lunch. Many items were gone or old and dry. No offer of fresh food. I've been here three times now and won't return. First time was good enough to go back. Second time was crowded. Third time was awful, but all other Chinese restaurants in Peculiar and Harrisonville are closed until May.
