Pekin Tokyo
Ordered the hibachi chicken dinner, hibachi chicken and shrimp, and general tsos. Got lo mein & fried rice. Everything was ordered to-go, so I didn’t dine in. It was really solid! I enjoyed everything. Just wouldn’t give it a 5/5 because it didn’t WOW me. If you want solid hibachi, it’s a decent spot.
The only thing I didn't like was the pricing Go at lunch. The ginger salad dressing was mild. Not ginger enough. Plenty of seating. Friendly welcoming staff.
Bangkok Express Cafe
I recently made my first visit back to Bangkok Express in quite some time, and it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane! This place used to be one of my go-to spots to take my Aunt Bertha in between her doctor visits and physical therapy sessions, and it holds a special place in my heart as we approach a year since her transition. We always ordered the sweet-and-sour shrimp (no heat), adding extra onions and shrimp for that burst of flavor! Walking into the restaurant, I noticed they’re still operating with the COVID-style wrap and cover, so there's no dining in anymore, which was a bit disappointing. However, the warm welcome from the family that runs the place made up for it. They were incredibly friendly, and it felt great to see familiar faces. The food was just as delicious as I remembered! While chatting with a couple who were visiting for the first time, I was happy to share my recommendations. I’m glad I could provide them with an accurate review based on my past experiences. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Bangkok Express, and I look forward to returning again soon. It’s a great spot for anyone looking for tasty Thai food and a friendly atmosphere!
First time stopping here. I usually get Drunken Noodles but asked for something similar. She recommended a different but similar dish that was excellent! Good portions, fresh and great customer service.
Yum Yum Express
They have seriously fallen off. The generals chicken is gummy and the shrimp fried rice is bland and taste like it's barely even fried. The shrimp don't even taste fried at all. Seems like ever since they closed the inside for dine in the food has gotten bad and for the amount it cost it should've gotten better. I keep trying to give them a chance but I'm done.
Gross..everything is just gross. The chicken isn't chicken, I don't know what meat that is. The health department need to go in and test that meat…it’s definitely not chicken, it has to be iguana or something. The pad Thai was nasty. I'm surprised this place is still open. If you need soup, don’t get that either! Service was good. Dining room is closed so could not see the decor.
