Review based on initial visit for lunch. Ordered off the lunch special menu — General Tso’s chicken with hot and sour soup, steamed rice. Lunch is served with a pot of hot tea. Food was well prepared, tasty and good portion size. The hot and sour soup was really spicy — I like it; but some might opt for the (no red pepper) egg drop or won ton soup. I never order fried rice on a first visit — try the steamed rice: if this is of decent quality and well prepared, the restaurant’s food is likely to get a 4 or better rating. Physically handicapped accessible from parking lot — ramp at side entrance. Street entrance has a step. I’ve tried several Chinese restaurants in Worcester and this is the best one so far, and the only one offering a range of Szechuan dishes. 12/16/24 - raising my food rating to a 5. For Worcester, best Szechuan I have had in the city.

I love Mala. This is one of the only places in Worcester where you can order Mala dishes. We got the dry beef hot pot and the Mala pot without fish. Both had very nice spice, I could honestly handle more spicy but my fiancé would probably faint from it. The dry pot was more on the sweeter side, but it still tastes good. Together, the food cost about $50 dollars for both of us, without tip--however, we had two trays worth of leftovers to bring home! The service was sufficient. The staff were friendly, polite, attentive, and sent our food out in a timely manner. The ambiance is very straightforward. It's not just a quick pickup spot where you can pick up the greasy, fried Chinese food, but it's an actual place you can sit down and taste some authentic Chinese dishes. The decor is not the best, but it's very comfortable and casual. We would definitely return with our friends!

The ubiquitous presence of pho restaurants in Connecticut is definitely a must-try in this cold weather. However, I found Anh Thu this side of Massachusetts and can beat any pho restaurants that I’ve been to. Wow! The broth was aromatic, complex, and deeply flavorful. Generous portion for the combination pho and worth every penny. We also shared an order of beef teriyaki, and it was just a tad salty, but the cha gio eggrolls hit the spot! We also tried the seafood stir-fry with flat noodles, and that was full of flavor. Food came out quite fast, and the service was friendly. I can’t wait to go back!

Food: I like thier banh mi alit, lots of flavor in the meats and have various toppings. The rice plate is also another good dish to have with a load of portions. I enjoy thier pho but sometimes the broth tends to be on the sweeter side. Service: Family own business so it's relatively easy going since everyone is familar of the owner and family. Ambiance: They just recently updated the furniture so it looks much more cleaner and spacious. Others: Have a parking lot towards the left side of the plaza and also have some side parking on stafford st.

Hands down best Chinese food quality bang for your buck the service is great the food is always fresh the delivery people are always prompt and on time and call you when they're arriving

Just ordered the pork dumpling (10pcs) and the spring roll (2pcs) from Uber eats and the pork dumpling tasted and smelled rotten, like something you’d smell from maggots… the spring roll was alright but it was too small. Ended up throwing it away. (I tore some of the dumplings so y’all could see the inside)
