Note to myself for the next time. I normally come here for the crab rangoon and chicken terriyaki but today i was dissapointed. Im already not happy about spending $11 for 4 pieces of chicken terriyaki but they were super skimpy today and barely had any meat on them. They were more like what you would get at a run down buffet, versus and over priced, nicer restaurant. They had about half the amount of meat on each of them compared to what they usually give. Also, idk if they over cooked the crab rangoon or if they were old or they changed the wraps and the filling they usually use but they simply werent good. The crab rangoon are usually yellow and light, today they were dark and had some white stuff on it and the wrap seemed a lot thicker. They just werent good. The staff is nice though. Im kind of glad though that I was dissapointed with the food today bc I wont be craving it again and tempted to come back.

The food and the service was amazing! I ordered a small Hot & Sour Soup along with some sushi and General Tso’s Chicken and although the chicken was quite hard it was flavorful. The sushi was delicious and service was amazing! She was very kind and respectful! Definitely coming back! I also recommend trying the (Pork Belly Bun) it was so delicious! It tasted like a Fresh Roll but better.

Waitress was very kind, food was delicious. Best sushi I have ever had by far. Atmosphere is very nice and calm. I highly recommend the Dragon Breath Roll and Tiger Eye Roll.

Food: They have ACYE hot pot style, with many fresh vegatables & protien selction. We choose the Tom-Yom & Super Mala broth which were decent, it could use more depth and seasoning to enhance the overall experience. The super mala wasn't as spicy as I thought and the Tom Yom just didnt have that bold, herbal flavors. Adding extra seasonings like a little extra spice or herbs or even better peppers could enhance better flavors. They do have a sauce section where you can grab it yourself and add to your brooth or use it as dipping. The selection of protein with a few premium is avaliable is solid, but the taste in quality just did not meet my expecatation as it was a bit tough. All the vegatables were fresh, and seafood was well prepared which I enjoyed. I also had thier noodles & crab rangoons for take-out which was rather dry, so perhaps take out wouldn't be my thing to do here. I gave this place another chance, and it is better than the last time. Overall, its a solid option to go to satisfy the craving during the colde season. Service: The service was fine, most staff tend to mind thier business and will arrive when you need something. Most of this is a help yourself kind of thing when it comes to cooking your own food or getting your own sauces. I believe they can be more attentive when needed. Ambiance: It recently just featured moremodern decor with touches of traditional elements that reflect its hot pot theme. The space is designed for communal dining, with large tables that encourage sharing and socializing. Warm lighting and vibrant colors create an inviting environment, making it a great spot for gatherings, Location accommodation: They have a parking right to the right of the resturant but you can park in the TD bank lot and walk right over.

Excellent service from our waiter Johnson! He made the night extra pleasant becoz of his friendliness, attentiveness and hospitality. The specialty menu: Seared/ torched scallops with special sauce!!! The order came with four decent sized scallops! The texture and freshness of them blew me away!!! Would just come back for this!!! Must get if you see them on the menu!! Beef tataki- they were a bit too thin sliced to my liking. Wasabi mustard ish sauce was ok. I would prefer beef tataki to be served more like a refreshing ponzu soy based kind of dipping! This appetizer was just a B. Though the beef was nicely done medium rare!!! Sushi for two was plentiful! Love the albacore, salmon and dragon rolls with shrimp temp stood out the most. Everything was fresh and sweet! Delicious meal! Rice was done almost perfectly... could have been more balanced with a bit more sushi rice vinegar though! The only complaint was the Ikura! They didn't marinate them with soy and sake! The roes were a bit too fishy for my preference. Overall, the service was outstanding! The cozy vibe in that extra back room was nice! Heating from the ceilings made the room super warm! Would definitely come back for more sushi! Early dining definitely would be better since they have tons of take out orders.

Used to be the cool place back in the day. Hole in the wall spot, now they are very very average. Also walked in once open bar not that busy they were like no we only take reservations. Stuck up. There are plenty of better spots in Worcester. They should keep that location in sturbridge since people out there need something but other than that charity operation give it up leave. Bye bye 👋

📍 Location & Atmosphere Kai Sushi in Worcester offers an intimate and cozy dining experience. The current location is quite small, with an 11-seat bar and around eight tables max, creating a casual and close-knit vibe. However, with their upcoming relocation, it’ll be exciting to see how they expand, especially with the introduction of their Omakase menu, which I’m eager to try. 🍽️ Food & Drinks We started with the miso soup, which had a familiar taste but leaned slightly on the salty side. It was a decent start, though nothing particularly standout. We then moved on to sushi and sashimi, which were fresh but noticeably thinner than expected. The Fire Roll and Love Roll were both delicious, though the flavors in the Fire Roll felt a bit homogeneous—everything blended together, making it harder to distinguish individual ingredients. The Love Roll, on the other hand, had more distinct flavor layers, making it more enjoyable. Despite not being a huge fan of mango in sushi, I found the fruity touch refreshing and well-balanced. The standout was the Spicy Scallop Roll, which was top-notch. It’s probably my favorite basic roll to order—the added crunch and bold flavor gave it a unique edge over similar rolls I’ve had elsewhere. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality The service was fine—our server made sure we had everything we needed. It was efficient and polite, which suited the relaxed atmosphere. 💡 Unique Selling Point Kai Sushi stands out for its creative rolls and the promise of an expanded Omakase menu at their new location. The Spicy Scallop Roll was the highlight, offering a perfect balance of texture and flavor that sets it apart from the rest. I’m looking forward to seeing how the new space and menu elevate the dining experience.

Living near Boston for so many years, we almost gave up trying to find a comparable Japanese restaurant, especially one that offered omakase. Finally we found one. A hidden gem to say the least! We reserved a table a few weeks in advance since their omakase menu is not a nightly/dail special. We had a 14 course meal and were completely satisfied by the end. I tried the sake flight which was great. Chef Timmy personally explained each course and we ended the meal with a sake shot with him. Each course had the freshest seafood with unique combinations. Every piece melted in our mouths with the right amount of flavor with each bite! Worth every penny! We will definitely come back for more. Thank you for a wonderful experience as we celebrated our anniversary!

This is my favorite hidden gem in all of Worcester. The food is so authentic it makes me so happy, you get a huge portion for what you pay. I see that last review with his huge takeout of meat and rice complaining it was $10? Anywhere else would’ve charged $30. My grandma used to cook exactly like this and I regret everyday not learning from her but when I am back in the area and visit Maria’s kitchen it feels like home. I hope this place is here forever.

Lady charged me 10 bills for small plate that’s crazy I can go to other places get full big plate for 10 bills

Great service, food is consistent and for a good price. I usually get the lunch special which is sub $10.

Decent place, good food! Sometimes it takes a while for the food to be ready because of peak times, or under-staffing, but I LOVE the fact that they have VEGAN options. Their vegan "chicken" (Seitan) is an excellent texture and consistency. I like the variety of dishes they can make with their seitan and all the veggie combos/sauces. I ordered from them on DoorDash, but it's cheaper to go in and eat in-person. DoorDash raises the prices, obviously.

Its ok. Its your typical generic chinese food with the yellow rice, golden fried chicken wings (with no flavor), the boneless ribs w the typical chinese style bbq glaze were ok, the egg roll was nothing to talk about and the spring roll was just your typical spring roll. I wasnt a fan of the crab rangoon, idk what the crunchy stuff was that was inside of it and the texture of the inside was weird. The rice is ok. Its ok, but I would only get it again if all the other chinese restaurants were closed. Best Chinese on Main Street has waaaaaay better chicken wings and ill keep getting my crab rangoon from WanWang / MinsWok.

So I had order over the phone for a delivery for me and my family . The pleasant gentleman who answered the phone was extremely rude off the back but we love Ming’s house so I dealt with it . When I asked for ginger sauce and hot mustard they said extra charge !!! Extra charge for hot mustard I could understand ginger sauce yes but hot mustard no . We got the food no issue but what I would like too know is how you charge for hot mustard and then proceeded too add water into it ? My 6 year old tried it and says mom why does it taste like water . If y’all are gonna charge people for something make sure it’s quality food not something you added water too and charge people for . Please gentlemen who answers phone change your attitude maybe owner should make you go too classes on being professional 🤷🏻‍♂️
