Chinatown Restaurant

I had family here for Christmas Eve and we ordered food from here and it was amazing! Everything was hot, fresh and plentiful, and the customer service was great, even on a busy night like this. Full disclosure, this has been my go-to for years, but my family has never had their food, and they were raving about it. I highly recommend Chinatown!

Very good authentic Chinese food! I was traveling through from VT and ended up making a pit stop at worlds end to take a hike and worked up an appetite for something heavy so I placed an order for takeout here. When I got to the restaurant I only saw one person working and as soon as I walked in he greeted me with a smile and while making my food asked how he could help me (mind you it was 90 degrees out so I can only imagine how hot it was in that kitchen). I got all of this for $9.30 which is amazing pricing for the quality and quantity of the food. The food pictured is general tso chicken, pork fried rice, and crab ragoons. I just want to thank the gentleman working, the food was tasty and you’re a very hard worker. Keep up the great work!

Complete garbage food, I bought "Kung Pao Chicken" and it came with mostly peanuts and a mix of vegetables, with a small percentage of small pieces of chicken, cost me $25. The taste is petty bland but edible. One of the worst cases of waste of money I've had on food so far. 0% recommended

Ordered two sushi rolls and cold sesame noodles and greatly enjoyed all three. If I had one critique it would be cold sesame noodles need to be served a bit colder. The atmosphere though was so fun and lovely, felt truly like when you’re here you’re family.

Four Kings - not worth the hype, sorry! I understand why it has high ratings, but most of the positive reviews seem to come from non-Asian or non-Cantonese diners. I wouldn't even consider this 'fine dining.' The only reason it was hard to make a reservation is that the restaurant is tiny, and they prioritize same-day walk-ins customers. so you HAVE to book a month in advance. Four of us went, and we were really excited to try it since a few of our mutual friends enjoyed the food here. The menu was interesting, offering a modern twist on Cantonese cuisine. However, the food was overly salted, and their signature squab dish came out undercooked, which was disappointing! Unfortunately, everything was just mediocre. Nothing stood out or was special. The idea of the concept is great but the execution wasn’t there. I'm sure you can find better Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown that offer better food than this one!

4/14/2025 - table for 2 After a wait of 2 hours (walk in) we enjoyed .. Green Beans - Good Eggplant - Good Cabbage - It was served cold so not my fav. Scallop vermicelli- OK Octopus skewers - a little chewy for my tastes. Chrysanthemum Tea - Loved it.

The only good experience I had was I had a cordial delivery driver. It was my first time ordering from here and honestly I won't order from here again as I didn't like the taste of the food at all. I did a big order so not all of it was bad but a big portion of it was just tasted to tangy and indifferent. Never will order from here again. Sorry if you were once good maybe look into going back to it ok.

Off the get: THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Ignoring that it's REALLY weird to outright deny any form of digital payment in [CURRENT YEAR], I think every single place up this section of street has an ATM, and there's a bank down on the corner next to 7-Eleven. Just fair warning. I had a lovely conversation with the owner while waiting for my food, but it was clear that we were having problems understanding each other. Despite that, she just kept wanting to chat with me. It was absolutely dead that night because it was late and a holiday, so nobody was out. So I think she was just bored? I really can't blame her; so was I. It's why I was even there at all. xD The food was...okay? I've had better lo mein and way better egg foo yung, but I've also had way WAY worse crab rangoon. My main complaint was that it was just...WAY too much food. I know that's like...part and parcel whenever you order Chinese but...JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ it was an avalanche of noodles in a single box. A single order of egg foo yung fed me for three days -- and I notoriously have a bottomless stomach. The crab rangoon was gone before I got home (I live across the street lol) and the lo mein went bad before I finished it because there was just...TOO MUCH for one person to eat alone. Maybe I'm an idiot for ordering three different dishes of Chinese food for JUST me, but holy hells I didn't expect to have one of the MAIN DISHES go actually rancid in my fridge because it took so long for me to get through it. IT WAS A SINGLE BOX. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S STILL HALF LEFT AFTER FOUR DAYS OF LUNCHES??? So yeah. Definitely not a single-eater place if you order anything other than the combo plates. But I only spent $30 for all of that, not counting the tip. So like...that's fair I guess? I should've frozen half of it...jklfdjal;jfl;dajfda
