This might be the best Chinese restaurant I've tried around Boston! The food came in fast but was also freshly cooked. The pork tongue and the whole fish were authentic. This is Shanghai Cuisine and they are indeed good at non-spicy dishes. It's also easy to find free 1-hour parking nearby. The place doesn't look fancy at all, but definitely don't overlook it!

As someone grew up in Shanghai, I can confidently say that Shanghai Cuisine in Waltham captures the essence of authentic Shanghainese flavors. Recommend Shanghai style poached chicken. It was juicy, tender, and served cold with the ginger scallion sauce. I also tried the shredded yellow eel with boiled oil which is one of my favorite Shanghai dishes. The shredded eel was silky and coated in a scallion oil sauce with just a touch of sweetness. It’s balanced and flavorful. The place brought me straight back to the tastes of home.

Ordered $84. worth of food. They replaced a few items in the poo poo platter. A couple of items were missing. I ordered a side of sweet and sour chicken and didn't get that. I called when I noticed sweet and sour chicken + they said to me on the phone you have an order that looks like chicken fingers and I said yes which is not what I ordered and he said that is our sweet and sour chicken. I told them that's much different from the sweet and sour chicken I got before. But I took that word for it. I ate a chicken finger from the poo poo platter and then I tried one of"sweet and sour" chickens and they were the exact same. In a small order of beef teriyaki came with 2. All of that money wasted. I would've gladly paid for what I actually got. The stuff they actually got right was ok at best. I've been there before and never had to much of a problem, but then again I was only ordering a couple of things. Never going back that's for sure!

No frills, good fast food chinese takeout. Have saved for many late night meals.

Quick takeout. Delivery is fast. No dining in. Food is consistently good but clearly your regular greasy version of what Chinese food is in the US. Nothing healthy about it. An occasional indulgence.

Love the food. Perfect fried rice, and great chicken fingers. Don’t know why they are rated so low. Highly recommend

This restaurant is small . But has a fantastic welcoming atmosphere. And while not busy The person at the counter is very kind. And the music playing helps with relaxing and enjoying the time while u dine in. Also I get free soup if u dine in. Either a hot and sour or eggdrop soup.

I recently dined at this restaurant that left much to be desired in terms of service and quality. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the staff's demeanor was unfriendly. Throughout the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, which made for a discomforting experience. To add insult to injury, when I ordered a bottle of ginger ale, I was served one that was clearly expired. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction was disappointing, to say the least. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to others based on my negative experience with the service and product quality.

Like what is my life. First I find a bug in my shrimp fried rice at a different restaurant and now a stapler at this one. I don’t know if it came from the packaging the rice came in or the kitchen but all I know I found it in my food. The food is good but this is a big safety hazard. I tried one more time. I should have learned my lesson. The new picture are the ones with the hair. Yes hair.

The food didn't really stand out more than just another casual Chinese takeout spot. But their business hours and the fact that a hard hitting late night munchie after "forgetting" to eat the whole day with an empty fridge led me here - I'll bump them up to 4 stars. I'll be honest when I say that I found it rather weird walking into an establishment empty of customers and a full amount of staff behind the counters (5 in the kitchen, 3 up front). I tried to order from their kiosk, which didn't work, so ended up still having to chat with the kid at the counter who looked away the whole time while speaking under his breath. A little confused and very hungry, I finally asked him to recommend a tofu dish he'd eat...and he literally without a blink of an eye starts naming all the tofu dishes off the menu. Lol. Ok, here we go. It's probably hunger hitting hard and the sugar dipping too low that I finally just ordered away. Food came out really fast (note number of staff in kitchen; plus, it's a Chinese kitchen...with that number of staff), packed nicely and got me back on the road home. I didn't think twice as I ripped into the bag seeking hunger reprieve. Tofu with bamboo shoots? Ooh, not bad. Beef with Snow Peas? Tastes good except for the part that you over slurried it...total noob mistake. House fried rice? Let's just say Uncle Roger won't roast you. Will I be back? Maybe. But only when that late night munchie hits again and I've got nothing in the fridge to save a life.

My family has been ordering from Feng Shui since it opened, but the last few times it seems to have rapidly gone downhill. Last time my family ordered from this establishment, a staple was found in our rice. Accidents happen, and we reached out to them about it and they offered us a credit on our next order. This Christmas Eve, we decided to give it another shot and also wanted to ask about the credit in our order. Upon calling to place the order, the FOH said we “could not apply a credit because it was too busy”. What’s the point of offering a credit for future orders if you won’t honor it? The food was subpar from this evening. The fried shrimp was raw, as well as the beef teriyaki. The chicken seemed ok, although the wings were overcooked and we didn’t get a staple in this batch of fried rice so I guess they are getting better. The potential of getting sick is better than having a piece of sharp metal in your stomach. Anyway we will probably not return, since they might offer us another credit, but will refuse to honor it. I also included an odd fortune cookie that although not malicious, is just a strange thing to get in one, but that’s subjective.

We are very happy to report that Feng Shui Kitchen is our go-to Chinese restaurant. They are known for their takeout but they have a couple of tables along with window counter seating. Everything arrived hot and delicious. The Feng Shui Sampler (For One) was enough for two people and I couldn’t even touch my main course (poor me). I now have amazing leftovers. I did try a few bites of the Beef with Mushrooms which had a lot of flavor and large portion. My wife really enjoyed her Home Style Tofu with broccoli dish. The Spring Rolls were huge and my wife also enjoyed them. Many orders were placed, delivered and picked up while we dined here. We were the only dine-in people during our meal. Highly recommend.
