Tried the Ma Po Tofu for lunch special. It was really good but it didn’t jump up and slap me in the taste buds like some others I’ve tried. Rice was amazing. Friendly staff. Clean place. Good value. Will go back

Pictured is the sesame chicken with the fried rice option, which didn’t turn out to be what I was expecting but still great taste and portion size. It was a little warm inside the restaurant and the canned cola I got wasn’t particularly cold either, but clean restroom. I think next time I’m gonna go for a less ‘American Style’ dish and see if I can ask for ice and a cup, but overall definitely coming back, the place has soul to it.

The food is good, but the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I felt disrespected by the server in this place; he barely spoke to me, only asking if I needed my change. I feel sorry for the kitchen staff and the owner because their hard work is overshadowed by this poor service. Even the deliverers of the food seem to do not like the service . I will never come back!!

The popcorn chicken was great. I would recommend to try it! But the fish slices were coated with too many corn starch or flour.

My husband and I went on a Tuesday I really wanted to try it and it didn’t disappoint. The lunch specials were very affordable, delicious and a great amount of food. Also tried the squid game special drink and it was perfect. I would definitely go back but on a Friday or Saturday night which our waitress said it gets pretty busy.

District Kitchen is the perfect place to go to with friends for shareable plates. The music was early 2000s vibe. The host takes pictures of you with a polaroid. They were decorated for Christmas leading me to believe they rotate their decor. Perfect place to go with friends. Come hungry. There was parking close by in the T parking lot.

I walked by a few times before I decided to try this place. I am from Hong Kong. 雲南米線 was everywhere but I had never tried. So, I decided to try it in the US. I ordered their standard rice noodle with brisket. The flavor was good. It arrived very quickly. I also ordered preserved eggs and was flavorful. The drink was also good, not super sweet. Definitely will go back next time I am in the area.

I ordered the chicken curry, and while it was edible, the dish was more disappointing than enjoyable. The flavors were underwhelming, and it didn’t meet my expectations. Additionally, the staff wasn’t particularly helpful, which made the experience less pleasant. The atmosphere was decent, but overall, I wouldn’t be eager to return based on this visit.

Crazily good! Ordered 10 items and they were all amazing!!! They serve dim sum until 3:00, we got here at 2:45 and they still let us order it. Staffs are super nice and friendly(which is not very common at dim sum place lol.) XO sauce radish cake was insanely good, salty egg yolk bun is a must try too.

This is a very nice tea restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and a wide variety of dishes. What stands out the most is the selection of Chinese snacks, each priced around $5 to $6, making it very affordable. You can try many different things, from classic dim sum to specialty stir-fries, with plenty of options to choose from. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a chance to savor traditional cuisine, this place is a great choice. For food lovers who enjoy tasting different flavors, this restaurant is truly a food paradise.

Our go-to dim sum spot whenever we’re in town. Their pastries are unmatched —honestly better than Chinatown. The egg tarts are incredibly flaky and buttery, the pineapple custard buns have the perfect cookie crust, and the wife cakes are the best we’ve had. The chewy winter melon filling with flaky layers is just so satisfying.

This restaurant may have an average ambiance, but it stands out with its wide variety of Cantonese dim sum. The dishes are plentiful, reasonably priced, and incredibly delicious. Each bite is memorable and worth savoring again and again. If you’re looking for affordable yet authentic Cantonese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit!

This is not my first time ordering at this place at all now today while I was eating my food with no problem. While chewing my food I found a stapler on my food thank God I didn’t swoll it. Now I call the restaurant to refund my money that I payed they told me to bring the food and they’ll give me my refund back and not making me a New food that ridiculous😡🤬

I have ordered here before but my most recent order is my last!! I found moldy onion in my lo mein after eating a good portion of it and NOOOO it is not seasoning or anything else as i tried to scrape it off and i wouldn’t and it was on all the pieces. I didn’t even know what mold looked like on an onion I just found it and was curious then looked up on google what it looked like and it’s the same thing !! i was so disgusted and nervous about getting food poisoning and they had the audacity to only refund 10$ instead of the whole order, which to me doesn’t make sense due to if I got sick there would’ve been a bigger issue. There was so many more pieces but I was too disgusted to keep looking.

Tried this place on Uber eats, really enjoyed the beef and veggie hot pot (which is basically a noodle soup that tastes like a Sichuan hot pot). I also got the braised pork over rice which I haven’t tried yet, but looks good. Looking forward to visiting in person sometime.

Hidden gem! Both the dishes I got were great. The only downside is that I asked for extra spicy and that was definitely not extra spicy haha! I got the beef and veggie hot pot with soup and spicy crawfish combo pot. They are super generous with their servings! So much meat, noodles, and veggies in the beef and veggie bowl. I loved how they put a splash of some sesame sauce on top of the bowl, it made it a little creamy. Worth the $11! I’m not sure if the crawfish was frozen or live but it tasted pretty fresh and meaty. Service was friendly, quick and helpful :) definitely will be back.

I just ordered a make your own plate. The chicken finger batter was under cooked. The boneless spare ribs wasn’t chewable. The rice wasn’t fresh. I decided to call them about it. They said next time ask us to cook the chicken fingers longer. And said they couldn’t do anything about the ribs. I said no worries I will not be coming back to there establishment again.

My parents, siblings, family members and friends have been ordering here since the 1980s for Birthdays functions and holidays they have great amazing foods and prices for all your American Chinese food cravings a hidden gem 💎 of my own here in Malden...!

Second time eating here. Will definitely be coming back. Food is amazing. All the bad reviews are for stupid stuff like messed up takeout orders. I guess I’m on a quest to try every Ma po Tofu in Malden. This is the best so far. Super tasty. spicy and numbing but not too much. Clean new interior. Nice staff. A little pricey for lunch but you get what you pay for.

I am a huge fan of northern Chinese cuisine, and this place has something for everyone! My personal favorites were the frog legs, spicy chicken in wok, sizzling cabbage pork, eggplant, and stir-fry egg noodles. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. I will definitely be coming back with my family.

Ordered pork and cabbage dumplings on UberEats, probably won’t order again. Frozen dumplings from supermarket are better $16 for 12 pieces, before tax, service fee, delivery fees, and tips

What a surprise! This unassuming restaurant turned out to be a hidden jewel. I almost left as soon as I walked in, but thankfully I decided to stay. The food was fantastic; I even ordered a takeout after my eat-in meal. This place definitely reminded me of your typical popular hole-in-the-walls in China that are always crowded with locals in the morning with no tourists. Congee House's menu is limited but its cooking turns out to be quite authentic. If you do appreciate a truly down-to-earth Shandong taste and you do find something you like there then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you don't bother.
