Dragon Bowl
Surprisingly authentic Chinese food given that it's a fast food style food stall. I'm from Shanghai and growing up eating bok choy, and this place serves Shanghai bok choy almost everyday. The only Chinese food stall where I can find balance meal with good home taste. The price is pretty affordable, with around $13 for a 3 course meal. They even have holiday special dishes when there is a Chinese holiday. I haven't experienced the communication issue that others mentioned cuz I spoke Mandarin. The only issue is the "overly enthusiastic" customer service. They are very good at pressuring you to order from them. As long as you walk by, or take one single look at their food, you'll notice a free food sample poking at you, and they also did it through gesture, like picking up the plate waiting for you to choose immediately. It almost made me feel bad to not order from them. But overall, still very nice people there, and will let you taste every single dish if you wish.
The lo mein is literally like sweet doughy noodles.. that are really plain. The orange chicken is overly both sweet and salty and it’s something you’re going to get tired of chewing on immediately. And the price for the food you are getting is definitely not worth it.. theres a lot you can get for $16!
Bourbon Street Cafe
There are always two female Asian associates. One is very kind and accomodating pays attention to what the customer actually wants. And there's one that is Rude, doesn't listen and tells a paying customer what they can and cannot order. She will tell you what you can and cannot put on your plate that you're completely paying for full price. The owner of this establishment needs to teach this associate of his some manners. When anyone goes to this establishment one can easily spot and tell between the good associate that any customer would love to interact with and the one that's Rude and very ill mannered. Heads up to the Owner of this establishment. Your food is good but this bad and terrible associate of yours will surely drive customers away. I walked away and went to Tasty BBQ instead.
Tolerable in an emergency but not good Chinese food. Overly sweet sources. Basically sugar with small chunks of meat and rice or noodles.
