Golden Bamboo
Omg!! The food is amazing! Fresh hot and tastes sooo good! The kimchi is the best I've ever had!! Highly recommend you stop in and try it for yourself you won't be disappointed!
I’m SO happy the previous owners are back! One of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time! It was nice to see a bunch of people eating inside when I went in to pick up our order. Will definitely be back!
Koi
This place has single handedly redefined for me what a great Chinese restaurant is. To say that I was pleased is an understatement. To start out with, upon sitting down in a dining room that looks absolutely vintage, we were presented with a large pot of tea and those fried cracker things you dip in duck sauce. This courtesy is something that's been missing for the last 20+ years. Most of the time, you'll need to order the tea; it costs extra and is typicly just a teabag in a cup. Here it is a full pot, nice and hot. Another amazing thing is that they actually waited for us to finish our appetizers before bringing out the entrée. When you go to a lot of places, they sort of rush you by bringing out everything in short order. But not here. Here it was like a civilized meal where you felt like you could eat at your own pace, and not have to worry about cutting the conversation short just to scarf your food so the table doesn't become too crowded. The food itself was amazing. While the General Tzo's was not too spicy, it was extraordinarily flavorful, as was everything else they served. Every dish I tried was great. The fried food wasn't too fried, and the portions were fantastic. The seating was very comfortable. The service was exemplary. They were on top of everything, from refilling the waters to the effortless way they served everything and cleared the extra plates with great haste. The only thing I didn't care for was the fortune cookie at the end. Not only was it a little stale, but the fortune was lousy. Though I'm not going to blame them for that.
My new favorite asian restaurant. The food was fantastic and the staff was as well. I really enjoyed the tea, water, and noodles with duck sauce that was brought out while you look at the menu. The food was perfectly cooked, including the shrimp. There are plenty of vegetarian choices too. It was all well seasoned. The scorpion bowl was great as well. The atmosphere is beautiful and great for either a family dinner or a date night. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
STEAM noodle cafe
first time here and we enjoyed it very much. we ordered summer spring rolls which is raw veggies wrapped in rice paper with peanut sauce, bimimbap with beef, pork loin ramen and Thai iced tea. it was all delicious. place is small but cozy.
soup bowls we had were excellent. had the shrimp tom yum and the shoyu chicken soup. both had great layered depth of flavor without being overly salty as so many Asian soup places tend to be. the chicken in the soup was tasty moist white meat and noodles were perfectly cooked with proper chew. got some extra bok choi in the soup which added a nice dose of veggies. will def come back more often.
Shiro Ramen & Market
This was a really interesting place to come visit. They had some fun things for sale in the back room. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Parking was plentiful and easily accessable with the lot right outside. I am looking forward to going back again soon!
The only asian market for milessss but they carry all the essentials! They carry my all time favorite Kani Chips that the bigger Asian Markets in Albany don’t carry which is a MASSIVE A++ in my books
Siam Square Great Barrington
A surprising little spot with spectacular Thai food. I came with a group of 4, and not many places downtown Great Barrington are open for lunch. I am so glad Siam Square was because it was excellent. The pad Thai was among the best pad thais I’ve ever had, and I also enjoyed the massaman curry. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
Some friends and I go here about every 2 weeks. They are consistently good. Do NOT order the Thai hot unless you can really handle SPICY, my friends tell me. But they have lots of non spicy things like cashew chicken, Thai dumplings... so much and the Thai tea is wonderful!
Panda House Restaurant
Great hot and sour soup. Super clean and comfortable dining room. There take out was very well organized, and although they were busy, it was exactly on time. The dumplings were very good and obviously made on site. We also had Beef with Black Bean Sauce along with Chicken with Basil, both excellent.
Delicious food with a nice atmosphere and spectacular service. I got the chicken and shrimp rice noodle which was quite delicious. The atmosphere is higher-end, but not overly fancy. Prices are very reasonable. The staff are extremely accommodating and eager to please! Definitely a restaurant worth visiting!
Meng's Pan-Asian
This was a very surprising dining experience for me. The restaurant was very quiet and all the guests were quiet. Unlike other chaotic Chinese restaurants, the environment here was very good. The waitress is not good at English, but she is very warm and Oriental. Especially the food, really let us surprise, large portions, good taste, low price, high cost performance. Their honey chicken is absolutely delicious. We'll drive again
We drove more than 3 hours to this small town north Adams..it’s raining outside, and we easily found this restaurant, the food was amazing, especially the shrimp with lobster sauce..and my daughter like the chicken on the stick very much. There was one waitress, she was very busy ,a kind and gentle lady..we will come here again next spring..
Red Apple
Terrible….. the crab rangoon, which had so little filling i didn’t have to worry would taste bad (since how do you screw up frying a wonton?) was fine… but mostly empty. My “general tso chicken” which I asked to be extra spicy had literally less spice than most orange chicken dishes and had the benefit of a nasty fish taste which indicates to me that it was fried in the same oil as fish, hopefully from this week. Luckily I also ordered hot and sour soup. Unluckily, it was neither hot nor sour. Basically mushroom ick with some tofu. Luckily, the place I am staying has a garbage disposal. I wish I could say I am surprised but the Lee, MA area is no culinary mecca for certain. Thank goodness for kitchens in rental properties for visitors who have actually eaten quality food elsewhere.
I was very hesitant ordering from here reading the reviews. And I am very critical of all food for even slightest problem. But it was late and all others were closed. I must say this food was amazing. Orange chicken was literally made with orange pieces, little sweet for me but better than Panda Express'. Pork and rangoons were really good. I strongly recommend. Plus they reopened just for us.
Chopsticks
Yeah had a great time. The food was delicious. I had the combo platter. The server did a fantastic job even though we were a large group of ten and it was past 10:00pm. A friend had three platters of food and was wondering about dessert. Others also ordered a lot of food, we were a hungry group. Everything came out perfect, lots of laughter, we had a great tine.very clean, a friendly place to eat. I can't wait to go back! !!! Free parking. I think they deliver but I'm not sure. There are a lot of things to choose from on the menu. Yeah it was great.
Delicious food and a very hardworking staff! The place can get very busy, so please be sure to be nice to them. They’re working as hard—and as fast—as they can to prepare your food!
The East Asian Cuisine
My Go-To Favorite sushi place in all of the Berkshires!! The sushi is always fresh and the portions are just right!! Loveee this place!! (there is 6 pieces per roll, i got a bit hungry while plating)
This place has great food. We came from NY and tried the shrimp lo mein, general tso chicken, sushi, mango drink, & crab ragoons. Who ever prepares the food cares about taste and presentation and it shows. A+ I will be back.
New Asian Garden
Ordered delivery and it was great. The food was oustanding. I highly recommend the vegetable delight and the vegetables szechuan style. One comment I do have through is unlike most Asian restaurants they likit protein choices for Thai dishes to beef or chicken. As some one who does not eat meat, I would have expected tofu as a protein choice. they are limiting their market by not including tofu. i would have ordered basil chili, but they only offered neat versions.. I did request no egg in the fried rice and that was not an issue. Will order from them again.
Love the food there. Great price and people
Fortune Express Cuisine
You remember that old saying “you get what you pay for?” Fortune express is yet another example of when this old timey phrase rings true. The quality of the food is the best in Pittsfield, bar none. The teriyaki beef sticks were tender and delicious, and the sesame chicken stayed crispy despite a short drive home. Everything here tasted fresher and lighter than nearby competition. We’re willing to pay a little extra to come back again and again!
I stopped here after discovering that they had Japanese, and Asian Cuisine. The food was delicious and rivaled any Asian food I had had in the Pittsfield Massachusetts area. I was so excited to find this unknown gem with excellent food. The quality and portions are sure to please a hungry soul.
