Fusion Express
This is mostly a to-go restaurant. I really wanted to love this place as it is close to where I live. The one thing they do an absolute great job with is their pork fried rice. I base my reviews against other establishments, overall flavor and value. Their egg rolls are mostly cabbage. In New England the elite egg rolls are more celery and pork. The plain cabbage gives them very little flavor. You definitely need to add duck sauce, mustard and maybe a little soy. The beef teriyaki is on the dry side. The flavors are more of a sugar sweet unlike most places that have hints of ginger and soy. The lobster sauce has a nice flavor. However the sauce has a viscosity equal to water and the pork to sauce ratio is 3:1. Very little pork and a lot of sauce. Pork is either extremely fine, or big chunks. Not your traditional lobster sauce. I liked the Generals chicken, although the pieces were big. The Kung Pao dishes are made with jalapeño peppers and container more veggies than meat. I really love Chinese food but I think I am done waisting money at this establishment.
My family and I love this restaurant! It is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Fusion Express took a well deserved break for a month and we were craving it. We tried other Chinese places in the area, but they just don't compare to Fusion Express. The best items on the menu are the chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, wonton soup, and the Wor Bar special. We definitely recommend this restaurant!
Bamboo Express
We just moved to the area in August from Washington state and this is the best Chinese food we've had in a long time. It's my picky kids new favorite. This was my 2nd time ordering and my kids love their beef teriyaki and chow mein. Best ragoon I've ever had. The people working here are awesome. The guy who has delivered both times is awesome and really polite and nice. My driveway is hard to get in and my house is hard to find and he brings us our food hot each time. This is our new family favorite for days I don't want to cook or we are just to busy. Last time we had egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken and they were great too.
First time I had food from there, my partner had ordered us some. I had House Rice and she had ordered beef rice noodles, and had some chicken teriyaki. And I thought it was really delicious! I loved how the rice looked, it wasn't dark like others, had a nice light color to it, and the meat was so tender then anywhere I had it from. I recommend! My partner and I had said the next day the next day the food leftover is better!!.
Dragon River
We've tried all of the vegan/vegetarian dishes in our family's many dine in visits, and all have been excellent! General Tso's Tofu, salt and pepper tofu, veggie delight, ma po tofu, egg drop soup (not vegan but vegetarian), tofu vegetable soup, egg rolls, and more. Service was prompt and friendly. Our hot tea pot was kept refilled whenever it was close to empty. Dragon River is now on our regular rotation when we eat out. Highly recommended!
Such a hidden gem this place is! So many options and most importantly the great service and the welcoming atmosphere! The lovely lady who helped us is our highlight of the place. Salt and pepper tofu should definitely be tried, gong bao beef was also good. Highly recommended!
Best Chopsticks
Got the lunch special, less than $12 for a good serving of chicken chow mein, fried rice, an egg roll and egg flour soup! Delicious food, good service, got it within 15 minutes of ordering, and the price was great.
This place is fantastic. It's exactly what you want when looking for quick and cheap Chinese food. Big portions and familiar options that are well prepared. The prices are very reasonable. Pro tip. Grab some food from here and head over to Wander brewing to get a beer while you eat.
Xing's Panda Palace
After 20 years of dining here, I can confidently say that Panda Palace is the best Chinese restaurant in Whatcom County—hands down. In fact, it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, anywhere. The lunch portions are a great value, and the dinner combos are incredibly generous—plenty to leave you full and still have leftovers for later. Every dish is served hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the General Tso’s chicken or the fried rice—both are fantastic. Most importantly, the staff—Bridgett, Jenny, Jade, and the rest of the team—are truly outstanding. They’re prompt, attentive, and always happy to recommend something you’ll love. Thinking about eating here? Do it. You won’t regret it! PS: Panda Palace offers multiple Vegan/Vegetarian options and can accommodate other modifications based on dietary needs or preferences. I was NOT paid for this review. I simply love Panda Palace THAT much. Thank you to Jade, Jenny, Bridgett & the other staff for the 20 years of delicious meals and great times.
Everyone at Xing’s is very nice! Service is extremely fast, staff will remember you, and the food is so yummy I came two days in a row! 😂🥰
China Palace Restaurant
STAY AWAY 🤢. THE Crab Rangoon was so HARD it cut my upper mouth i had to pull edges off. Orange & General Tsao chicken was like Microwaved chicken nuggets with sauce poured over them ...the WORST CHINESE FOOD I've ever Had.
This was our first time going here and everything was phenomenal! The server was extremely kind throughout the experience. All our food was fresh, meat was tender, and very flavorful. The atmosphere was quite relaxing and everything was spotless. Definitely the best chinese restaurant we've been to since our favorite closed down over a decade ago. Highly recommend trying if you haven't already.
Q Q Li's Chinese Cuisine
Had two dinner specials - chicken and beef. Quick service, friendly staff. Food was ok - not bad but not excellent. Price was very reasonable. Great spot for those on a budget.
I'm currently 28 and I have been eating at QQ Li's since I was 18 and it has always been a great value. Great food for a fair price is a rarity these days and this place has both. I now live 1 1/2 hour drive from this restaurant and I still make a pont of going there every month because it is so delicious .
Lucky Panda Restaurant
Love this place! Affordable and great quantities. My girlfriend and I often order here once a week. The home style Beancurd and veggies are amazing, since discovering it, we order it every time. Comes with tons of deliciously prepared tofu and vegetables. Glad it has water chestnuts and baby corn. Smothered in an addicting but lightly flavored sauce. The portions here are great, always looking forward to leftovers the next day. We appreciate that the food is not greasy, if it were, we wouldn't come so often. The service is fast and great,
Do not order!!! They didn’t give me the egg roll that came with my meal and gave white rice instead of fried rice. They closed before I could call. $20 and they didn’t get half of it right. Awful.
Panda Express
Five Stars for Abigail D at Panda Express – Sunset Avenue, Bellingham! I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Abigail D during my recent visit to Panda Express on Sunset Avenue, and I cannot say enough great things about her service! From the moment I walked in, Abigail greeted me with a warm smile and an energy that instantly brightened the atmosphere. She was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and attentive, making sure every part of my order was perfect—and it was! Her enthusiasm is infectious, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about delivering a top-notch experience. Abigail went above and beyond to make sure I left happy, and thanks to her, I did. Team members like Abigail are rare gems, and she truly elevates the Panda Express experience. Thank you, Abigail, for your outstanding service—I’ll definitely be back soon!
Delicious food. Fair portions. Clean lobby.... Kris and Victoria were very kind and polite.
Panda Express
5 Stars – Exceptional Service at Panda Express (Bellis Fair Mall Location) I had a great experience today at Panda Express #226, thanks to an outstanding team who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Helaina (AM) personally helped me get my order exactly how I wanted it—she was kind, attentive, and made the process smooth and stress-free. It really meant a lot to be treated with such care. Rebecca at the front line was friendly and efficient, greeting me with a smile and handling everything professionally. Zach and Dan were on point in the kitchen—everything was fresh, hot, and perfectly prepared. You can tell this crew works well together and takes pride in what they do. Their positive energy and attention to detail made my visit feel special. Thank you all for the excellent service—I’ll definitely be back!
Ordered a Raspberry Iced Tea (sweet but quenched my thirst), and a bowl with chow mein and Honey Sesame Chicken Breast (which also had green beans and yellow peppers). I thought the portion of meat was generous, and the meat was tender with good flavour. My friend had the chow mein, Mushroom Chicken, and Broccoli Beef. The server gave a heaping amount of broccoli, but did purposefully pick a few beef slices to complete the serving. Only one scoop of the mushroom chicken was given, though! No complaints. Panda Express is usually a fair option for us in the US for no frills but standard American Chinese fast food.
Bok Choy
This is the best spot on campus, HANDS DOWN! So much flavor and they give you a fortune cookie. 9/10 recommend.
Don’t waste your money here. The food is bland and terrible. Tastes like it’s supposed to be a healthy version of panda express but ends up tasting like greasy, flavorless vegetables. Seriously where is the msg?? No one wants to pay 9 dollars for food worse than the dining halls
