Full Key
Authentic family-style Cantonese food in the DMV area serving up all the classic dishes. The service was prompt and the waiters speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin! I recommend trying the BBQ meats. My favorite was the chicken - it was super flavorful, moist, and tender! The beef chow fun (δΉΎηηζ²³) had good wok hay and was well-seasoned. Can't go wrong with the sweet and sour pork either. Very crispy and moist pork! Only small nitpick - the gai lan was a little too crunchy/tough for my preference.
I like thier food isn't too sweet as like typically Chinese restaurant and menu is quite variety and more selection. Inside dine-in room seem a little bit small because of there are a lot of tables but atmosphere and decoration are nice. Service is friendly. Price and portion are reasonable. PS. Another good thing, Full Key restaurant closed hour is quite late, great for people who is looking for late dinner.
China 99 Chinese Restaurant
We decided to give it a try since it's so close to our house. Surprised at how good it was. I hate large pieces of chicken and they make sure to cut them up into smaller pieces, which is a huge plus for me. The lo mein was different than any other one I've 5 I thought it had a great flavor. Same with my sesame chicken, tasted great! This will be part of our normal take out list. The prices were reasonable as well.
The food is actually pretty good. The service is absolutely atrocious. They advertise different than they provide. They have clearly made a mistake and when I called to find out why I was Missing items from my order the lady answered the phone yelled at me and had the audacity to hang up. When I called back again she didn't respond. They have.Clearly posted that you are to receive the buy one, get 1 free and a choice of soda or soup. When they did not add the soup I called, I have a picture that shows proof and they did not honor it. Nor did they give me a chance to even explain. I do not recommend spending your money here. As the food is just as good as the average Chinese food place. But the service makes them a negative 10 on my scale as a business owner, when you make an error you own up to it and fix the problem so it doesn't happen in the future.
Ying's Takee Outee
This is i think the only yings i know around jacksonville. We used to have a couple locations but they sadly closed over the years. This place used to be opened inside but after covid they refuse to open it back up.. The food is Good and quality is 8/10! i order most of the time Boneless Spare Rib Tips, with White Rice or Chicken n Broccolli With White Rice and it comes out good!! Wait time 5 - 10 mins and fast too!! Inexpensive and its best to go in my opinion on Saturdays :) Definately worth going again and again!!! 10000000 Star Rating!!! ππ½ππ½ππ½
Ying's truly a place stuck in time in many ways. The food - Food is pretty good from what I've had there so far, it's the classic Chinese food we all know and love, nothing special but nothing bad either but the portions are quite large. Service - Absolutely phenomenal, in a day and age where good service and kind people are unfortunately increasingly rare Ying's manages to go above and beyond, the staff are very nice and take time outta their day to not just provide excellent service but to be human and provide decency and kindness above all. Atmosphere - This one is rated low because outside the exterior of Ying's there's no atmosphere as it's drive through only. Price - This is probably one of the best parts, decent food, and great service all for a relatively low price, most fast food places these days cost more than Ying's and give you half the amount of food. All in all Ying's gets a solid 4/5
