Lee Deli
So basically I ordered a large sweet and sour chicken and an orange chicken dinner. After receiving my food I saw dumpling looking thing in a box: I immediately called the store because to my knowledge orange chicken has sauce, the lady who answered the phone was so pleasant she placed me on brief hold to inquire about my order. She then asked me to describe what it was that I received. A few minutes later the owners came to see what is was that was in the box, the lady is gonna try to convince me that what I received was orange chicken, now I’ve been buying Chinese food and NEVER in my life have I ever gotten orange chicken like that. Not only would she not give me my money back but her husband or some guy that came with her got out with car with flashlights and he began to argue with her in their language. This was my first ever ordering from this establishment and it will definitely be the last. These people are rude and they lack professionalism.
On Tuesday, December 24, we ordered $75 worth of food, which was delivered to us. Unfortunately, the order was incorrect. We immediately called the restaurant to inform them of the issue and offered to return the food. However, we were told not to bring it back because the restaurant was about to close. The manager assured us that we could come back another day to resolve the issue. Today, Saturday afternoon, we called to follow up based on that promise. After explaining the situation, the manager refused to honor his word, claiming he would lose too much money. We pointed out that we also suffered a loss because our food was not edible: the fried rice was burnt, the General Tso’s chicken was overly soft, the combination fried rice and shrimp fried rice were incorrect, and the cheese rangoons were hard. All we wanted was for our order to be made correctly. Instead of resolving the issue, the manager hung up on us. After repeated attempts to call back, he finally answered, but only after we mentioned reporting the situation. If you’re going to serve our community, you need to do better. This kind of service and treatment is unacceptable. We deserve better as customers.
Yum Chen
The best carry out Ive had in Pg County! Sorry not sorry! I ordered 3 wings with fries and mumbo sauce all over! I don’t even finish my carry out but I crushed this!
Got a pepper steak lunch combo. The meat/ veggies were ok, the fried rice was completely devoid of flavor. The service was friendly and the place is a normal Chinese take-out place with some dine-in seats. I may consider coming back, it was not bad, just the rice was missing a lot of flavor.
Mai Dragon / Mai Dim Sum
Mai Dragon is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area! We absolutely love everything they serve. This time, we tried the dim sum, roasted pork, sesame beef, and duck noodle soup—and it was all AMAZING! The broth in the soup was incredible, full of flavor, and the meat was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The service was top-notch too; the staff was very attentive and worked hard to make our experience enjoyable. We highly recommend giving them a try—you'll love it just as much as we do! The food is authentic, the prices are reasonable, and we even had some delicious leftovers to take home. The atmosphere felt like a cozy family dining experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Overall, very pleased with this restaurant. When I first walked in I almost turned around to leave. The look inside was not screaming Great Chinese Food. The atmosphere was just of a large room with tables and chairs. It looked anything but Chinese. But I was hungry and decided to stay. Was I ever glad I did. I ordered the Egg Drop soup and Kung Pao Beef. Both were up there with the most delicious of these dishes I’ve ever had. The meat was so tender it cut with a fork like butter. And the flavors were extraordinary. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying their Dim Sum. Back to the atmosphere, I’m not big on spending lots of money on interior but this place definitely needs some help to make it warm, inviting and Chinese! One last thing, a pet peeve of mine, when they give you the check the suggested tip amounts are based on the food plus tax, though I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and guess they don’t know the machine is doing this… I just get the feeling they wouldn’t.
Grace Garden
This restaurant came strongly recommended by a friend, but it appears from other reviews that a lot changed with management this Summer (2024). We stopped in for lunch at the end of July and found most tables vacant but dirty, the service slow, and the food good. They do have a couple large round tables that could seat 7-9 comfortably, but we only had 4 in our party, so we chose a smaller table—the only one of about six such tables that seemed clean. They serve on nice plates—not infant-friendly—but they do have high chairs. The decor was a mix of old rave reviews on one wall, and what seemed like special event decor in the back. We did enjoy the food: Their orange chicken is spicy, but they were able to cater to a request for it not to be prepared spicy; we liked the result, and they didn't nickle-and-dime us for substitutions into their lunch special. They even included some free spring rolls because our order was over $30. We left a large mess because we had an infant with us, so we tried to tip well, rounding $38.45 ($6 appetizer, 3× $10 lunch specials, and $2.65 tax) up to $50 (about 30%, more than any of the tips recommended by their register).
The portions were good for 2-3. The fried rice were super good. These egg rolls fillings were really good. The Sesame chicken is good and I haven’t tried the spicy chicken yet. I got all these for myself thinking they are small portions and didn’t know that the fried rice comes with sesame chicken. Anyway, these dishes are good. They do not have own parking lot. Located Right by the high way. Looks like a mama papa store; nothing fancy. Staff is polite and helpful.
Bamboo House - Cajun Seafood & Chinese Restaurant
This shit good, this is my first time having shrimp lo mein and I love it 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!! And the shrimp fried rice and hitting.
My sisters & I ordered food. 4 wings and fries, jumbo fried shrimp W/ fried rice and spare ribs w/ shrimp fried rice. The fried chicken tasted really old. The jumbo fried shrimp weren't jumbo. They were small and fried really hard. The spare ribs were good. I got a jumbo cup of ice for $1.25 that was freezer burned. Had to pay extra for a container to put my shrimp in. I didn't want them with the rice; would make the shrimp soggy. But as it turns out, shrimp hard as hell. I am so tired of patronizing these asian carryout with poor customer service. Your language has a barrier, food not cooked properly, unnecessary pricing. Most if all food that taste horrible and looks unappealing. If you explain that the service was inconsistent and poor. You are treated with disrespect. Please people try your best not to support these local Asian restaurants until they can produce quality service and good tasting food. Brooklyn, cherryhill and landsdowne.
China City
The food is delicious. The portions are really good. The owner is welcoming and nice and ethically ( because they put enough food so you can have the rest for another meal) unlike some other restaurant that put a little food which is not enough for the money the customers pay nor can fill even a kid. We should support ethical resturant more such as China City.
Food is terrible and not worth the price. Their establishment is dirty and I’m sure the kitchen is even worse. Very rude staff. Do not eat here even if you’re starving to death.
Golden China
If I could give no stars I would. I usually enjoy the food from this establishment, but in light of my most recent experience, I won't be ordering from them again. I would advise others in the area to order from Eastern Panda instead. I ordered food through Grubhub with explicit instructions to call my cell upon arrival. Their delivery driver gave our food to the wrong house and when I called to have my food sent back out I was told I would have to pay for it again. These shady business practices should not be tolerated by anyone.
We waited an hour and forty minutes for an order tonight when the original time was supposed to be 45 minutes. After it had been an hour I called the restaurant. A man answered and told me the food would be "only a few more minutes " he didn't even ask what my order was or my name before he started saying that then quickly hung up the phone. 20 minutes went by and I called back. The lady said they were very busy and I asked again where my food was that it had been an hour and 20 minutes. This time she did ask me what my address was and then she said he'd be there in a couple minutes, then said, were very busy about 5 times and hung up. The driver showed up 20 minutes later and called my phone and said he was outside and I said no your not I'm outside and again he said I'm outside and I look up and there's a car pulling up and I said I can see you just pulling up and he said oh I see you and hung up and ran to the door. The shrimp toast was soggy and the egg rolls were cold. There were very few shrimp in my shrimp lo mein. Kind of a disappointing experience all around.
Panda Express
I usually go to panda express with my daughter and typically we share the biggie plate. One staple and three entrees. We get healthy greens, rice, Beijing beef and orange chicken. We also get one order of spring rolls. If everything is fresh it can’t be beat if they have been sitting under heating lamp it’s something else.
The food is absolutely amazing when the best employees are working. I stop by at least 3 times a week and purchase my dinner. I only go in when the professional, courteous and welcoming staff are on Shift!! John Camilla Nicole Darlene Paul Thank you guys for your politeness and beautiful smiles when I walk through the door..!! When I don't see one of you guys on Shift I choose another restaurant...🫶
China Fong's Carryout
This carry-on place must pick and choose what days they want to do. Uber eats orders. I have picked up many Uber eats orders, DoorDash, and even other delivery food app orders, and done it before. I came in today and the lady tells me we are not accepting Uber eats orders just because with no exact reason. Very unprofessional and I just do not like the environment.
Amazing food, staff are nice and it was an amazing portion size! People in the review section are lying! This food is probably the best I've had in a while and the flavor is immaculate, me and my family will definitely be coming back
Johnny's Carry Out
I got the general Tao chicken lunch special!!! Several options for only $7.99 I would say it was very very SPICY!!! Too spicy for liking .. the rice has no eggs so how is it fried rice? Then it was a yellow color the 2 pieces of broccoli had no flavor!! The other dish was wings with fried rice and tasted very regular!!
For once a carry out with great customer service. I wanted changes to my order and they had no problem. The lady who took my order was very nice. I'll come back again. The food was great
China Sea Restaurant
Small mom and pop that serves good Chinese food at decent prices. They have that really sweet red chicken wing sauce I've only ever seen elsewhere in DC. I don't like it so I can't comment on the taste. Staff is friendly but I recommend you call ahead as sometimes it gets busy.
Is it fine dining? We’ll no… but it hits the spot. I’ve only ordered the combination lo mein add mixed veggies and love it. I like the type of noodles they use. Not sure what kind, but I like it. Portions are appropriate for the price. People have been nice to me 🤙🏼
Hong Kong Gourmet
I ordered the Sautéed mixed vegetables and white rice. After a few bites in I noticed a sour taste and my stomach was turning. I inspected the order and noticed a bug cooked with my veggies. Disgusting.
Normally the food is good, never great. This time it was overwhelming terrible. The chicken was over cooked and flavorless. The spring rolls were soggy and flavorless. Most of our order was disappointing. There’s no passion or care in their cooking. The only saving grace for me to give them 2 stars is their wonton soup.
