The sashimi is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared in generous cuts. The minimalistic atmosphere is welcoming, detailed with beautiful ceramics. Beef yakitori was flavorful and tender. California roll was specially seasoned (we are not typically cali roll people but this was fire). The perfectly cooked edamame with flaky salt, addictive. 10/10 will absolutely be returning.

Excellent sushi! We loved our takeout and are so excited for this new addition to the area. Our sushi platter was beautifully presented and everything was delicious. We look forward to trying more of the apps and the rolls next.

Had to change my review the food is good but the delivery wait is absolutely insane over an hour is crazy and the food comes cold and they charge for delivery......if you are so busy why don't you hire an extra driver I'm sick of places in Staten working with a skeleton crew cause they don't want to pay workers

Great Chinese Food Spot. My go to when ordering take out! They even have tables and chairs to sit at inside if you like. Only Cash

This isn't the first time I've received horrible food from this place, but I kept giving it chances. These people are money hungry and do not care about their customers. I cannot imagine what they do behind closed doors if they are comfortable to serve this to clients. They never say they don't have an item. They'd rather provide Cold, ugly, Left over food. I'm not a rude person but Never Again.

Bad bad bad restaurant! The lady who is receiving the orders is just DISRESPECTFUL

Ordered take out (pick up) food was ready very fast.. the build your own rice roll was so good.. highly recommend! A nice change since I never had this before.. I got with pork and scallions inside and peanut sauce and chili oil on top. Also the egg rolls were so good, not overly greasy. Also ordered vermicelli noodles had a lot of flavor and love the texture of the noodle. I like that they have some unique items on their menu (lots of traditional sechuan items), and also the usual items you would expect but done well- very fresh. I wish them the best of luck!

This was our first time ordering from this restaurant. The order was delivered on time and there were no issues. Everything came out perfect. Our favorite was the chicken wings w/ salt & pepper (delicious!) and the shrimp friend rice. Everything else that we ordered came out delicious as well and we will definitely order here again. We appreciate that you note that you are supporting a small business and we are very happy to support. Highly recommend Yao's Kitchen for their delicious food and great delivery service!

Where do I even begin? This is my first review ever, and I’m not the type to write one—but the experience was just that bad. From the moment I got on the phone, I could tell they were trying to rush me off. No patience, no courtesy—just get the order, hang up, and move on. Maybe that’s why they messed it up in the first place. I ordered boneless ribs. Pretty straightforward. What shows up? Bone-in. When I called back to have it corrected, they not only refused to fix their mistake, but the guy on the phone had a nasty attitude. Completely unprofessional. If you screw up an order, own it. Don’t double down and try to make it the customer’s fault. And to top it all off, the dude had the nerve to get disrespectful. They are quick to confrontational but the moment you match it they folded up like a good little boy. He better watch his mouth because next time I’ll knock his teeth in. It ridiculous! Bottom line: HORRIBLE service, LOW to mid-tier food that’s absolutely not worth the drama. Save your time, your money, and your patience. Plenty of other spots that know how to treat their customers and get orders right.

I never usually right anything I can say I grew up eating here but unfortunately I can say that the custom service is terrible. The way they yell at there’s customers make false promises of fixing the food and they catch nasty attitude instead of listening to the customer. They have no professionalism their food is hazardous. As a New Yorker I can tell you anyone visiting New York please don’t get food from there because there food isn’t good. They rush there orders over the phone get wrong and can’t take responsibility and in person the place is dirty. I can say from personal experience I was disrespected when one the workers she cursed me out on the phone and had little to no patience when making family order . Even when I would make order for my self there was a man who likes to rush his orders and gets a bunch callbacks from customers because he doesn’t know how to listen. Not only is the service terrible but it’s just disappointing how the place is being managed .

I don't know why, but this place has really good chicken nuggets. I usually get an order of those alongside my regular stuff, and the food always comes fresh and hot. Can't say much about the atmosphere, but it's your standard Chinese takeout spot. Service is spot-on though, so I'd definitely make this place my go-to for Chinese!

Food is pretty good, but they seem to make up prices. I get the same order every time, which is usually less than $12 (boneless spare ribs combo with lo mein and an eggroll). Yesterday I got my usual order and they charged me $18.50?? The portion was the same, but the food was very burnt and the lo mein made a mess in the bag. I don’t usually write reviews but I was super disappointed because I thought I found my new spot for chinese food. Now, I feel like I’ve been scammed and probably won’t be back.

When you walk into the place it does not give the appearance that your meal will be the best Chinese food in Portland!! Have order from there four times with each order being a wonderful delicious meal made just as we ordered! The male working the counter (I believe the husband) comes across as not very friendly. If you arrive before your order is really and the place is not busy he opens up in conversation and is a super friendly gentleman. Parking is on street and very easy.

Consistently one of my favorite takeout spots in and around Portland. The food is always flavorful, the people who own and operate the spot are kind and caring. I often order the American fusion go-to: general tsos chicken. The chicken is crispy, the sauce is tangy and rich, and it comes with a hefty serving of broccoli and white rice. I love the vegetable lo main, pork fried rice, and pork fried dumplings. The egg rolls and bbq pork app are my favorite in town — highly recommend asking for the spicy mustard! Whenever I’ve asked for a recommendation for a new dish, I am always pleasantly surprised. I love that we have such an awesome a family run establishment in the neighborhood. We moved out of town a while back and will still drive in to pick up (20/30 mins away). They’re always helpful and accommodating with pickup times and the food is still hot and delicious when we get home. I hope they continue to thrive and serve up our favorite takeout. It’s nice to see their friendly faces whenever we go.

first time ordering from this place after my favorite neighborhood spot closed. the food is exactly the kind of stuff you'd expect, and the portions were huge and prices were really good. I got a soup, an app, and an entree and I'm easily gonna make 3 meals out of it. food was ready really fast too and the staff was very friendly. all in all I was impressed

I am very surprised at the quality of their food after reading the reviews, but my experience was great. The fool was fresh came out fast and was really good Boneless beer ribs with fried rice I don't understand why egg rolls do not come with the combos anymore

Food was great and very quick! We were starving so I forgot to take a picture before eating— so here’s proof that everything was great! They do offer a free boba tea for a 5 star review, but they were deserving of the 5 star review without the free boba. Highly recommend the soup dumplings, gyoza, and pan fried pork buns.

Today I went here with my boyfriend and friends to celebrate his birthday. They were super patient with all of us. They also were fast in bringing our orders to us. The passion fruit was sooooo good. They were also super kind and gave me and my bf free shirts and all of us stickers. Overall they were super awesome and would definitely be back again. I hope they keep up the good work. Truly awesome!!

We got our food in minutes. The chicken with garlic sauce I asked for spicy, was great. Lots of chicken too. Wonton soup was on point. The soup was made like back in the day, they skipped nothing. Service good and the place was clean. I've been coming here for years and never disappointed

This place was, well GREAT!!!!!!!!! They treat me amazing. I’ve been going here for 2 years now! It’s golden, food is delicious, decorations are pretty good, and custom service is great! The quality of this place is like a Diamond! 💎 They give you great service. I would come back here a million times! They have given me respect this past years. Thank you for your service, and I will continue to enjoy the delicious meal you always give me.

love this place! The food is delicious! The customer service is the best, will return for my favorite General Tso Chicken . they made entire menu with White Meat Chicken only!!!!!

I have tried Chinese food from different restaurants on Staten Island. But Emperor’s House; a family-run business happens to be the best place for Chinese delicacies on Staten island. The staff is nice and they would run an extra mile to help you place the order. They do delivery too but within a limited radius.
