Met Kelsey Grammer here along with trying his Faith American beer and a superb pretzel! Coming back no doubt!

Jack’s is a neighborhood sports bar. The staff is friendly and nice. It’s got a fun and casual atmosphere. The wings are great, the nachos are tasty and the beer is cold. They have been around for years but needs a little freshening up to stay current. Regulars love it.

I have come to this place it was good before today I had to go and the truth is I was disappointed this place there was no meat the stove was not on 45 minutes we waited for meat we complained to the waitresses they felt bad the owner came offered us 10% discount and told us to wait to eat we waited 20 more minutes and they never put meat how bad for a Brazilian rodicio I don’t recommend not to go to this place 230 to eat in this place for rice and salad and that they do not put meat very bad a rodicio is to eat meat the owner made fun of us by telling us to wait for meat and never did anything I do not recommend this how they give us the food 20 min on the grill never cook I like the meat raw but no like this

I just ate at this restaurant and I find restaurant really appealing. The restaurant is so so so so clean. It has great food and it has great service. The fact that people are putting one star reviews just because they didn’t get one or two things that they ordered or one or two things that wasn’t perfect. It’s crazy to me. This restaurant has some work for improvement, but that’s the definition of having a restaurant. This restaurant is on the right track and I really like the food, especially because they brought Brazilian food to an area with a whole bunch of other different restaurants.

Trama is by far the best restaurant on the Jersey shore. The food is always incredible. Every dish is more creative than the next and the flavors are outstanding. The atmosphere is energetic while having a very elegant vibe. Pat Trama is a master chef that knows how to make the most flavorful dishes. This is our regular spot for delicious drinks and fantastic food. But this is also the perfect place for a special night out. The staff is always professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Andrew, Rob and Sean make every visit special.

Not only was our food delicious, but the cozy warm feeling in the restaurant was just the perfect setting. We opted for bar seats, which was a great choice for just 2 of us. It was like a happy family, we were chatting with 2 other couples before we knew it. Highly recommend. The bartender Rob was awesome.

We really like this place and have already been twice! The service was great both times, and the food was fresh and nicely presented. If you’re ordering fish, we recommend going with the black fish over the flounder—it was definitely the better choice. The dishes are also very reasonably priced, especially if you come with a group and share. Bonus points: they kindly let us bring in HeyTea, even though it’s an outside drink. That small gesture definitely added to the good vibes.

We got the swing pork belly, the Mala fish, the green beans with eggplant, and the mapo tofu. Everything was super authentic and great vibes. Also everything is pretty spicy 🥵 service is okay… but awesome place! Would come again

Food is decent. Decent portions for other foods. The claypot portions are a little small for the price. Excited to finally have some claypot closer than Chinatown. The claypot rice though, could have had more sauce. If you need more, don’t forget to ask for it they will give you extra. The rice rolls on the other hand are meh. Not really worth getting. Wish they had the Hk style.

Clay Pot Cafe is a Cantonese styled Clay Pot restaurant located near Super88 in Allston, expanding from its other store located in Boston's Chinatown. The staff are friendly. It does help if you speak Cantonese, but staff treat you the same if you speak to them in English as well. The food comes out quickly, and the place is cleanly. We got a wide range of clay pot dishes as well as vegetable dishes. The Clay Pot style was replicated very well here, and it tastes like traditional clay pot dishes found in Hong Kong or other enclaves. The price is good for the portion, and the meats were flavorful and went well with the clay pot rice.

Boston Soup Dumplings 烹小鲜 0

It was a sunny Friday afternoon in February. We ordered a Sichuan spicy beef noodle soup and an order of soup dumplings. Both had excellent traditional Chinese flavor and flavorful sauces. Service included jasmine tea and a tall pitcher of ice water with real chopsticks and soup ladles. Service was polite and friendly. They even had White Rabbit candies for after dinner treats. Thumbs up all around.

My wife and I love their xiao long bao. We came here every week for a while and ordered it every time! It is the closest to Din Tai Fung in my mind. The noodle soup tasted average for a while last year, but it has improved recently. I have to say that the mapo tofu + stewed pork ribs they recommended me to try yesterday were so delicious! A big bowl of rice was finished in a short time, and I even wanted to eat more. I am glad that their chefs keep introducing new dishes, which are surprising.

Friendship BBQ is a Chinese skewer restaurant located right outside of Packard's Corner. Staff are friendly and explain the process well. They're very knowledgeable on recommendations and can help whenever needed. The food is good. We got a wide variety of skewers, as well as a few appetizers. The skewers were flavorful, not too gamey but of a good and consistent quality. The price is a bit high for the portions they give, but not too outrageous.

I've been passing by this place in Boston and NYC but never went in. I was in the area so decided to give it a try. When you enter, the vibe was cool and chill. The atmosphere is amazing and place is clean. I was always met with a smile from the waiter throughout the whole dining experience. We ordered a bunch of different skewers, grilled oysters and scallops, scallion pancake, yellow crocker, and the skewer rice. I'm not really a fan of spicy food and let me tell you, my mouth was on fire. But.... it was an interesting sensation. I didn't hate it. Odd. Maybe I even enjoyed it. Definitely an interesting moment where I get to meet a whole new side of me. So, yes, I am enjoyed it fully and love it!

5.0. This restaurant is amazing! The food is awesome. I would recommend the frog. It is fresh and delicious, which is hard to find anywhere else. In addition, the service is good, the atmosphere is lively, and the location is convenient.

Best Mala restaurant in Allston. Food is delicious, bursting with flavour, and portions are generous. Highly recommend getting the Mala Tofu, the dry Mala pot (and select your fillings), and the spicy peanut noodles. Very authentic food (and service). Come hungry!!!

A Flavorful and Fun Experience! This hot pot restaurant is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant and lively atmosphere set the perfect mood for a fun dining experience. The ingredients are so fresh, and the variety is incredible—there’s truly something for everyone. The broth options were packed with flavor, and customizing my own combination of ingredients made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious, interactive meal with friends or family, this is it! I left feeling happy, full, and excited to come back again soon.

Great spot for hot pot! I went with a big group of friends, and we had an awesome time. They offer several options on their "all-you-can-eat" menu, and we chose two different broths to share. The service was excellent—right at the start, they provided us with bibs to protect our clothes, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed a wide variety of meats and seafood, all fresh and delicious. For dessert, we tried two options: the sugar rice cake, which we loved, and the jelly ice cream, which was good but a bit unusual. It might just be an acquired taste! Overall, I highly recommend this place for a fun and satisfying hot pot experience.

My first time coming here and it was such a good choice! They were so so nice and welcoming and the food was equally so so good! I think it will definitely be a favorite spot for my friends and I from now on!!

Solid budget hotpot with an old-school charm. One of my friends gets delivery from here religiously (at least twice a month), so I’ve tried a few custom bowls before finally stopping by for my own hotpot lunch. Unlike the newer Chinese hotpot spots that lean into the techy QR-code experience, this place does it the old-school way. Right by the entrance, there’s a toppings station where you grab everything yourself, and pay by weight. Honestly, I much prefer this setup. You get to eyeball the quality, pick and portion exactly how you want, and try more variety without overcommitting. The owner did warn me not to go over 1.5kg, but between all the fresh veggie toppings and solid protein selection—quail eggs, bacon, sausage, frozen pork and lamb—I couldn’t help myself and slightly overshot. No regrets. However, this place is definitely on the no-frills end of the spectrum. No fancy seafood like scallops or lobster, no DIY sauce bar, and only one broth option: a classic mala beef broth (you can choose the spice level, at least). The setup is more cafeteria-style—pick your toppings, pay at the counter, and the owner handles the rest. No mandatory service charges, just comfort food done right. Allston’s hotpot scene has gotten trendier and flashier in recent years, but I totally get why this spot remains one of my friend’s faithful go-tos. It’s definitely going on my own list for cozy and satisfying hotpot.

Great dry mala pot! You can customize what you want to add in your pot and choose the spice level. I recommend mild spicy (小辣) for people who don’t eat that spicy! The portion is big so you can share with the others. Their bento box is okay. Delicious and authentic but since every dishes were premade for you to choose sometimes it’s not very fresh.

One of the best dry mala places in Boston! Their mala is very rich and flavourful aka spicy, so it is advised to get medium. Overall the selection for meat, seafood, and vegetables were plenty and it was also cooked well.
