China By the Sea
Very very good good. The service was not very good, but the quality of the food made up for that. Dining room was a bit small but made for a cozy experience.
This is sub par asian food, and it's not inexpensive either. We ordered takeout for 2. Szechuan chicken, Fried rice, egg rolls, sweet and sour soup, egg drop soup. It was almost $70. Portions were big, but that was irrelevant because it was bland and certainly not quality asian food. I'm not even sure it was prepared in a Wok. Basically cooked chicken with diced veggies and some kind of thin broth poured over the top. The soups were inedible, water, and sesame oil with some frozen veggies included. The egg rolls were I'm sure frozen and the fried rice was very mediocre and quite bland. Very dissapointing.
Lucky Fortune
Lucky Fortune is simply amazing! I visited this Chinese restaurant recently and had an excellent experience. The dishes I ordered were all to my taste. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. The staff are warm and friendly, and the service is very attentive. The restaurant also offers vegetarian and vegan options, which is great for people with different dietary habits. Whether you want a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, this place is a perfect choice. Highly recommended! I'll definitely be coming back often!
Guys, who can relate! Lucky Fortune is simply my go - to Chinese restaurant! As soon as I stepped in, the strong Chinese - style atmosphere made me feel extremely at home. Every dish I ordered was absolutely delicious. Take their steamed buns as an example. One bite, and the filling is fragrant and savory, while the bun skin is soft and glutinous. The service is also super attentive. The staff are warm and thoughtful, and they actively introduce the specialty dishes. The prices are quite reasonable, offering great value for money! I'll definitely be back often!
China One
Great food! We LOVED the Hibachi and the amount of food you get for the money was GREAT! My husband and I split the plate and have enough to both eat off of it again! Fresh and delicious! For a Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi plate and 10 wings it was less than $25!
Words cannot express how AMAZING this food was. I travel ALL over the US, I've been to MANY Chinese food places. And this place has kept that good Chinese food taste. A lot of other places have taken out ingredients and lessened their quality. But this place is AMAZING. Hot, fresh, quality Chinese food. We all got General tso, pepper steak, boneless spear ribs and pork fried rice. All SUPER GOOD. The fries and egg rolls were fresh and the egg rolls tasted home made! Please don't change your quality, will definitely be back. God Bless you guys!
China Express
The food was amazing and probably the best i have ever had i will be coming back!!!!
I don't know what they did to the chicken teriyaki it tasted old or burnt in the Mongolian beef the meat was I don't know how to describe it burnt or old is the best way to put it hit had a very Bland taste I used to like Chinese food after this I'm not sure I ended up throwing it all in the trash
Rice Bowl 1
The staff here is great and friendly. Egg drop soup is very well made reminds me of getting it homemade as a kid. Sesame chicken great not a fan of the General Taos has almost no heat. No black pepper chicken option. My only real complain is every time my eggrolls are over cooked. Just wonderful staff.
So we tried Rice Bowl 1 for dinner, the reason they are called Rice Bowl 1 is because you go there one time and you are done. The chicken noodle soup had zero taste, the noodles were soggy and the few pieces of chicken were about as bland as it gets and had a consistency of rubber. The fried dumplings were soaked in whatever sauce and not like any fried dumplings I had ever seen, they looked gross and tasted worse. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was basically tiny chicken pieces hidden in greasy inch thick dough. I tried the Sesame Chicken, not sure when it was made but it tastes like it was hours ago and every piece was hard like fried wood chips. The plain fried rice and lo mein were totally tasteless, the were both beyond plain. The last dish we tried was the Hibachi Chicken, the dish was swimming in sauce, the chicken was tough, rubbery and not fresh. This was not a cheap dinner and the food was complete crap, I have been to 80 to 100 Asian restaurants and this was by far the worst food i was ever served. I doubt the people working there know how to cook, this was a disaster. For dessert we tried the Donuts, the were not fresh, not sure if the were made 7 hours or 7 days ago. I'm so disappointed in this place. Warning for all go anywhere else it will be better. All portions were large but what does that help if the food is terrible. Maybe they need to focus on quality instead of quantity. The only good thing about the food was the fortune cookies, they were fresh and were made in Stone Mountain, GA, not in Denver, NC. This place needs to be visited by the health department because I believe the chicken was all expired or precooked or the place needs to be renamed to Really Bad Asian Cook
China II Denver
It's not a fancy place to eat, and lots of folks get their food to go, but the food is made to order and delicious every time. I rate Chinese restaurants by comparing their chicken with cashew nuts dish and by far China II is perfect every time. The carrots and celery have just the right bit of crunch that let's you know everything is made fresh.
3.19.2025 i was flying a kite across the street yesterday & worked up an appetite China 2 in Denver ? YES - I'M IMPRESSED ! IT'S AN EXCELLENT STOP ! I'm in the Denver 16/73 area frequently. China 2 has a GRRRREAT (Guy-Sized) Lunch Special. This is a to go & deli style atmosphere & not an upscale dining experience. BUT the great flavors i found here are definitely upscale & beyond my expectations 2 THUMBS UP & 5 STARS ! (I'll Be Back)
Panda Chinese Restaurant
See photos. Ordered takeout for dinner on 12/20 and got to work, took a few bites, and noticed part of a roach floating in the food. Needless to say we threw out the entire $50 worth of takeout because there’s no way we were going to trust it was prepared in a clean environment. Reporting to the health department and anyone else necessary. This place needs to be thoroughly inspected.
$78 dollars in food and didn’t receive it all. She was ok making 4 egg rolls the next day but not reimbursing them.
China 1
I've always enjoyed china 1,but today was different.I ordered hibachi steak. The meal had excellent flavor. Flavor doesn't matter tho when you can't eat the steak..It was tough as leather..Out of the whole meal I had two bites of steak that were chewable.I was very disappointed.
There’s Way more food than anyone could possibly eat in one sitting with any order. But it’s not very good. It’s honestly like white people are making this Chinese and Japanese food, but they don’t know how it’s done. I won’t order anything from here again. But I guess the real authentic Chinese/Japanese restaurants has spoiled me from enjoying anything but the best. It’s all this town had to offer! If there’s any Chinese people thinking about opening up a restaurant somewhere, this would be a good town. Real authentic Chinese food would blow a lot of these restaurants out of a business. 🎤👏I said what I said!!👏
Golden Wok Buffet
Ordered General Tso Chicken. It was very undercooked. Parts of the chicken meat were still raw. I tried calling and nobody answered phone. Hopefully it didn't get placed out on the buffet.
We eat here a lot! Always friendly wait staff and management. We decided to go on a Christmas Day this year to make things easier at home- it was packed! All the food stayed fresh and the wait staff was exceptional! I didn't catch our girl's name but she was awesome! They allowed us to sit at two booths with our group of 8 since everywhere else was taken so we really gave her two new tables! She was very happy and fast. I'm a pescatarian and can always find something to eat. Parking is always easy to-do even today when it was super busy. :)
Royal China
Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. We moved out here 5 years ago and the first time we had it, it wasn't too bad. Since then it has gotten worse and worse and tonight was my last straw. I NEVER leave reviews but this one is needed, the food is sooo bad that it tastes like they haven't changed their grease they cook in for legit 5 years. I usually get the same order lo mein crab rangoon sweet and sour chicken but about a year or 2 ago I had to stop with the lo mein because it was that bad. Tonight I was craving crab rangoon and thought ok let's do it, worst decision ever. Not only do I feel like I just ate 20,000 McDonald's burgers that were 20 years old but I literally just made myself throw up to get the dumpster fire they call food out of my body, absolutely NEVER AGAIN.
I have been ordering here for years. The people, the food. 5 stars. Every time. My kids and grandkids are so picky. Whenever they visit we order from here.
Taste of Orient
I've heard mixed reviews of the Taste Of Orient, so I can only speak of my experiences. The atmosphere is nice, comforting, and quiet, very much the classic American Chinese Restaurant atmosphere. They sometimes have a buffet, but I haven't been there when they had it open. I have had amazing service every time I've been there, very kind and welcoming staff. For this visit I had the Filipino Egg Rolls, Peking Duck, and hot tea. I love the Filipino Egg Rolls, they aren't as heavy feeling as traditional Chinese Egg Rolls that most of us are used to, they are crispy and flavourful. The Peking Duck has a beautiful flavourful spiced sauce, and is tender and moist (there are bones so be aware of that when you bite into a piece). The vegetables help to bring a nice balance to the dish. I have been told that the owners are Filipino, which is why you will find traditional Filipino dishes on the menu,as well as all of your favourite classic Chinese American comfort foods. If your looking for something other than American Food or Pizza while in Wiscasset check out Taste Of Orient.
This is the absolute worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my entire life. It could be because I myself am chef and cooked in NYC, but that doesn’t explain why the pan fried dumplings were deep fried or why my garlic chicken was closer to shepherds pie filling than anything Chinese. I mean there were bits of deep fried grizzle in the sauce. I’m damn near positive that they had a slow night, the cook had already started cleaning and got pissed that an order came in 45 min before close and shoveled a bunch of shit left over from other dishes into a to go container and passed it off to the lady in the front. This food was disgusting. What a waste of money.
China Buffet
Absolutely the worst place I’ve eaten. Charging steak house prices for you to eat off paper plates. Food quality i gave one star because its the lowest possible. It’s worse than 1 star.
Without a doubt the worst Chinese food I've eaten. After reading two glowing reviews I decided to stop on my way through. Well I'm convinced both reviews were from people affiliated with the restaurant. Also they use Styrofoam plates. Sorry, do not normally post bad reviews.
