I ordered a large shrimp fried rice, extra shrimp, extra onions and spicy and a small regular shrimp fried rice and it was sooooooo Nasty.. It taste like they add some cleaning products to it.. I instantly got a headache.. it ifs wasn’t so cold I’ll go back so I can get my money

I saw the overall 4.2 star rating so I gave it a try. Ordered Mongolian beef and was very disappointed. Mongolian beef had a slight fishy burnt taste, not seasoned like Mongolian beef should be. The large dinner which was $14 was mainly gravy and onions, very little meat. I think the best part of it was the steamed rice. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a while, definitely better options out there.

I really hate to leave a bad review of a small locally owned restaurant, but I need to. This restaurant was one of the few open on a holiday evening. Their staffing was ridiculously low. It took a LONG time to get questions about the menu answered and then another long time to order. Our ordering was interrupted by her having to leave to take care of take out customers. There were no alcoholic drinks available as there was no bartender working. The menu is very extensive and has more of what I would call “authentic” Chinese dishes. There is even an “American Chinese food” section of the menu. The food was all good and plenty of choices for vegetarian/vegans. The shrimp and mixed vegetables contained a lot of fresh vegetables and not the usual canned mushrooms and a limited amount of vegetables. Our table was never checked on, water not refilled, and the check took a LONG time as well. To be fair, we should give it another try but in my mind if you are open on a holiday, you should be staffed to give proper service on a holiday.

All the food we ordered are super good. This is a very authentic Chinese restaurant, you can find super tasty dishes here. People here are very nice, provided a welcoming atmosphere. Please give it a try if you are looking for real Chinese food.

Ordered food delivered for five people this evening. Selections were cold, sesame noodles, shrimp, eggroll, eggplant, garlic sauce, sesame, tofu, vegetable mushu, shrimp, chow mein, and vegetable fried rice. Everything arrived hot and I think they are now my favorite take out Chinese in the area. Normally eggplant and garlic sauce is dripping with oil. This was not. Ditto for the tofu. There are slight extra charges for things such as putting egg in the vegetable fried rice, but it is made the way we asked it to be made, and the delivery was quick and accurate. much better than using an online ordering app. I think the restaurant makes it better with direct ordering and we did too. This will be our go to rather than the two or three others in the immediate area.

I asked for no broccoli. Half of my husband’s meal had broccoli in it. We got none of those fun, crispy wonton chips. My meal was to be vegetable. Do you see any vegetables?! For 10$!!

I grew up in NYC and have been eating Chinese food my entire life. A friend recommended this place for take out so I have it a shot and ordered chow fun. It was awful. It was extremely overcooked, very mushy and not edible. I called to complain to give them an opportunity to make it right and they said I need to call uber eats. Uber eats didn’t make this food?! If you like Chinese food, do not order from here. I will not be back. There are many better places in the capital region to get good Chinese food.

Good fried rice at a super reasonable price. Was willing to take my order at 9:30 pm. Staff seemed nice.

Not my usual go to but they were closed tonight. Ordered via a delivery service and got a veggie egg roll, vegetable moo shu, lobster chop suey, and veggie fried rice. It was okay. It was typical take out Chinese. They deserve credit for having lobster dishes available. The fried rice, that I ordered with egg had no egg. There were NO packets of soy, duck, or mustard in the bag. I have never needed to ask for this at other places.

Got a pick up to go and the food was ready on time. Shrimp lo mein was very tasty. However, I do wish there were more veggies in vegetable and shrimp fried rice. Both dishes tasted bland. But the portions are huge and I would go again to try something else on the menu.

Food was not that great, I received an order that barley had any chicken in it. I called and complained to the manager, he was very nice and wanted to make it up to me which I appreciated. When I went to pick up the food the manager met with me and continued to be very kind and pleasant. When the food was done I was approached by a different employee, she was aggressive insisted to show me the food and ask why I complained, and that the food she is showing me is what is always served. I explained that the last order just had a few pieces of chicken, and she wanted to argue. I was greeting great customer service until additional staff step in.

We were looking for American style Chinese food and according to Reddit this seemed to be the most widely liked place. We thought the egg rolls and spring rolls were some of the best we have ever had. My wife loved her chicken and broccoli and I enjoyed my sesame chicken. Excellent food and good prices!

Food: The egg drop soup is not just egg, it also has carrots and mushrooms, eww. The chicken looked unappetizing (see pic), but tasted alright. The pork lo mein and pork rice were dry. The egg rolls and duck sauce taste like Christmas (all spice). Get takeout, or just don't go. Service: The server, who was the only person we saw, was absolutely amazing. She was kind, personable, and the only reason I am not giving everything a one star. Atmosphere: There were guests talking about having their cysts popped in the ER the previous night, and although this is not the restaurants fault, the specific person speaking about this unappetizing, disgusting subjects was clearly a regular because him and the server knew each other. The server sat nearby, eating, and said nothing. The restaurant is outdated, and they sat us in front of the windows to make the restaurant look fuller. That maneuver did not escape me.

If you're looking for a spot that serves delicious Chinese food with generous portions, Amazing Gardens is a must-visit! The dishes here are not only flavorful but come in large portions, making it a great value for the money. The service is friendly and efficient, ensuring that you feel welcome and well-cared for throughout your meal. Whether you're craving classic favorites like General Tso’s chicken or looking to try something new, the flavors are consistently vibrant and satisfying. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive, making it an excellent choice for a casual meal or a family gathering. Highly recommend Amazing Gardens for anyone seeking tasty, hearty Chinese food!

I have been ordering food from here for over 16+ years. The food is the best take out/american style Chinese food I've ever had. As I have described it to family and friends who have also become fans, is it is like standard Chinese take out, but done fresh, by hand, and with homemade style recipes/cooking. For instance the best hot and sour soup and egg drop soup around, where most restaurants are usually overly thick and artificially yellow, Golden Garden's has a nice and normal soup consistency, natural color, and doesn't tasted processed/generic. The sweet and sour sauce is thin, not gelatinous, and tastes like it is actually made with pineapple juice instead of premade. The best pad thai Knoxville TN, better than taste of Thai when they we're open or other places I've tried. If you're expectations are your standard overly thicken/gelatinous sauces, premade/processed panda express style take out than yeah you may be disappointed, but that because the food here is a high quality and well made take on familiar dishes. The service is always great. The owners are friendly and personable. This is a true mom and pop place that has a long history of fans and good reviews for a good reason.

Got the general tso and sesame chicken. Chicken was the weirdest texture- spongy and flavorless. Fried rice was also weirdly textured and not at all what we were hoping for based on other reviews

Something different is what I was looking for and I loved it! I got the chicken and green beans. It was hot and delicious. The delivery was great as well!! The spice was perfect. I do a lot of traveling so finding something to eat is a challenge. This was so good I’ll be getting it again!!! Thank you again.

Very kind people and really clean place!! Their food is very yummy and they’re very attentive.

i ordered dinner for me and my fiancé from here we hadn’t eaten all day so we were excited for this food. when we got home and opened the general tso chicken it looked like this. if i didn’t walk here i’d go back and complain in person it’s that upsetting.

I ordered the seafood delight. The most expensive item in their menu. I like to support local businesses. I usually order the most expensive thing on the menu for my first time. I evaluate quality along with quantity. The quality was just ok nothing special. The quantity, well. There was maybe a total of 7 pieces of seafood on the seafood delight. The rest was veggies I had to pick through to get to the actual seafood. Surprisingly though the lomein was extremely good. However I feel like if I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu or just ordered lomein I would have been better off.

This was a delivered order, and I absolutely loved it. Finally beef that’s edible/tender!! I moved here from Westchester County, and it’s ridiculous that I’ve not been able to find any Chinese food up here that’s actually good, until now!! Thank God for Lilac Blossom!! Hope you stick around 😉

This is NOT a typical greasy spoon, everything 10-15 minutes, takeout spot - The food is always fresh & delicious. It’s clean inside, the husband & wife are ALWAYS as friendly & accommodating as they can be, given the language barrier. Their children are kindly & well behaved, & Zindy will help with translating when necessary. This is my GO-TO spot when I’m craving high-end Chinese takeout, at a reasonable price. Go ahead & treat yourself to Lilac Blossom!

This place sells rice like I was used to eating when I was little there was a place on east 79th street my mom would buy from and this place took me back to my childhood. Just a warning though. If you buy fried rice, try it out before adding soy sauce! Almost guarantee that you won't need it. It has a lot of flavor!

I've been eating & ordering from this establishment for many many years starting from about 2003. I've never had a problem with my food or the service until recently. For whatever reason they don't have the original woman who worked there answering the phones & taking the orders. She was extremely pleasant & attention oriented. They recently got a new woman to do the job of taking phone orders & she is absolutely the most rude woman I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Yesterday on December 20, 2024 I ordered $88 worth of food online. I ordered my food and in doing that I marked NO TIP I then put into the comments "Will tip in cash." I ordered the food the same as I always do Lrg seafood lo mein spicy, sm shrimp egg foo young spicy amongst other items. If you're not familiar with their process when you order online & you want to pay by card you still have to call in & provide them the card info. So, that is exactly what I did. I called in She answered the phone she didn't say anything the original woman would've said "hold" but the woman from last night didn't I was on hold for so long & didn't hear anything so I hung up & called back. Once I called back she answered again. I stated "Hi, I just placed an online order." She stated "yeah I know" I said ok well I'm calling to pay. She says "what's the card number?" I said "do you even know what I ordered?" She said "yeah what's the card number." I said "can you repeat my order back to me?" She said "I know what you ordered what's the card number?" I knew at this point I should've just canceled the order but my children wanted Chinese & my youngest is a finicky eater & it was already 730pm so I asked again "well can you repeat my order to me?" she again said " I already know what you ordered" well I paid and when I received the food yes it was all there but you can bet IT WAS PREPARED WRONG. Nothing I requested was on the food. And to top it all off I wake up this morning December 21, 2024 to find that my order total had changed and it was now $95.xx. That rude ass thief had added a $7 tip to my card even after I had noted NO TIP WILL TIP IN CASH. I did indeed tip in cash as I said I would. That woman is absolutely horrible and I will never purchase another item from the restaurant Mr Chop Suey. This was actually my 2nd encounter with this woman & the 1st time she was just as awful. Well I finally learned my lesson I will never eat here again. She is rude & a thief. She has horrible customer service skills. I can guarantee she has run many loyal customers away as she did me. I called to speak with the owner and again she answered she told me he wasn't their. After I told her how dissatisfied I was with her attitude & how she essentially stole $7 from me on top of my order being wrong, that awful woman said to me "I can give you a $7 discount the next time you order" I of course declined because I'll never eat here again but that gesture showed that she was guilty. Do not eat here because you will not be treated like a paying customer.
