Dumpling Daughter
Went there for dinner, bill was $148.81 with tax. Food was pretty decent. After going thru my credit card statement a week later I noticed that I was charged 177.81. They so graciously gave themselves a 20% tip on my card. I left a cash tip on the table because I didnt know they stole their own tip already, as he told me my total was 148.81. Not for nothing, they added a tip for what?? You go up to a counter, order your food and go sit down and you clear your own table. There is no waitress or server. Imagine if McDonald's added 20% tip to your order? It's literally the exact same service. I've called 3 days this week to speak to a manager and there is never one there. I asked when she will be in and they also said they don't know. Cool thanks. maybe this will get your attention.
Great spot for an easy, affordable, and delicious lunch or dinner! About $50 for three people is very reasonable these days, especially for quality, fresh food. The starters and dumplings are great, as expected, but don’t sleep on the three day ramen!
Glenn's 66 Eatzzeria
Stopped in Glen's Eatzzeria today after it was recommended to me by an associate at a local merchant. The minute she said she thought Glen's was offering fried dough on their menu again, I was there😊. I ordered the Basket of Fried Dough Bites and an order of Mild Chicken Wings. The food was served piping hot, and quickly, by a super friendly owner and his crew member. The Fried Dough Bites were phenomenal! Hot, soft, coated with just the right amount of confectionary sugar and the portion size was generous. The wings were equally as delicious. Served steaming hot and seasoned perfectly. The Eatzerria is a small, laid back dining establishment with a casual local vibe. I will be going back often.
Fast service, was told it would take 30 mins to be ready, but the food was ready in 20 mins on a Friday night. Only 5 mins from the Taconic Parkway. We got a pineapple and bacon pizza, and a Philly cheesesteak. Everything was delicious, we were impressed. Reasonably priced, friendly staff.
Lin Buffet
If you’re craving variety and generous portions, Lin Chinese Buffet delivers a satisfying dining experience with a wide array of options spread across six well-stocked food stations. From hearty soups to refreshing fruits and indulgent ice cream, they have something for every palate. What I particularly enjoyed was the variety of proteins and sides—think crispy, golden-battered frog legs and fried shrimp that were tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. Their green beans were vibrant, crisp, and coated in just the right amount of garlic, making them a fresh balance against the rich, fried options. The buffet also included plump dumplings, savory stir-fried mushrooms, and freshly steamed clams for a seafood touch. For meat lovers, there were hearty cuts of steak and pork complemented by sautéed mushrooms, offering a satisfying savory bite. One of the standout features at Lin Chinese Buffet is their fresh Mongolian-style cooking station, where you can customize your dish with a variety of meats, vegetables, and sauces, cooked right in front of you. It adds an interactive, made-to-order element that elevates the buffet experience. What sets Lin Chinese Buffet further apart is their thoughtful setup. They offer a separate section specifically designed for friends or group gatherings, making it an ideal spot for celebrating special occasions or just enjoying a meal with loved ones in a more private setting. The dessert and fruit section rounded things out nicely, with ice cream and fresh options to cleanse the palate after the indulgence. It’s clear that Lin Buffet prioritizes variety while maintaining solid quality for a buffet-style dining experience. If you’re in the mood for variety and love to mix and match dishes, this spot is worth a visit—especially for their Mongolian-style station and the dedicated space for group gatherings.
Weekday Dinner Cost: $17 Recommended: Green Beans, Hibachi grill (you can request egg). You pay upfront and then get seated immediately. The grill chef here does an awesome job, he cooked everything perfectly. I love garlic green beans and they also make the green beans very tasty. 5/5 good value Chinese buffet with fresh tasty food.
Number One Kitchen
Placed an order for chicken lo mein, wonton soup, 2 orders of steamed dumplings, and 2 orders of crab rangoons. I didn’t get 1 order of crab Rangoons but got brown rice instead. The chicken lo mein had zero flavor and was filled with a ton of lettuce. The crab rangooons were burnt. Besides the wonton soup being neon yellow, it had a piece of CHICKEN at the bottom of it. I took one bite of the steamed dumplings and they were just as disgusting. Don’t waste your money here. The location in Wadsworth was amazing and will go back there. This location is awful. However my dog says thanks for the rice. It was the only edible thing.
Fast and consistent carryout or dine in Chinese food. My dinner is often ready if I leave as soon as I place my order (call ahead). Good selection and always good food. Serving size is acceptable and the egg rolls are great. Don't forget the fortune cookie!
Seven Dragon
First time eating here and was so happy to find all the food I got from the buffet was fresh and crisp. It was near closing time (830) when they were running out of stuff but did still continue to replenish it while being careful as to not overstock. They did a nice job keeping our drinks filled as well. I would definitely recommend. Also it was definitely affordable it was $25 and some change for 2 adults on a weekday night
This is my new favorite chinese buffet. the selections are slightly less than some places but the quality and preparation is tops. owner is very friendly. They do nail the choices with most of the main dishes you could want.
China Pearl
Great menu selection. We ordered the dinner for 2 to go for $20. This was really great value. It doesn't look like a lot but it was. It took us two meals to finish this dinner for 2. The only thing that was annoying was the cash only basis. With the small capacity, its best to do take-out.
Ordered take out. My coworkers order here a lot. The portion size is generous for price. I ordered the cashew chicken, it was actually pretty good and I was quite happy with the amount of cashews in it. The fried rice was slightly disappointing and my stomach was upset a few hours after. My coworkers dishes looked good too, am interested in ordering again.
Wei-Li
Everything about my first visit here was amazing. Plenty of seating, service was great. The food was amazing. Definitely would go again.
Wei Li has ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me. This will hands down be the best food you’ve ever had! We live 45 minutes from here and will travel that time to get their food! Staff is amazing, family owned and run and the best people ever!!
Asia Garden
Clean, friendly, and great service. The food is so wonderfully delicious. I have enjoyed assisting food at many places around this country from the east coast to the east coast. I would put this location near the top of my favorite places to eat
We ordered a couple various rolls of sushi, crab rangoons as an appetizer, and beef lo mien and OMG!!! Soooo good. Every time we come the food and service is amazing!! And you can’t beat the prices for the fresh homemade-tasting food! Me and my family highly recommend this place! Pictured is the “after” of our meal… as you can tell we enjoyed it very much!
New Panda House
This place has wonderful food and very good customer service! Another person left 1 star because they couldn't have their order taken due to how busy the restaurant was. This also happened to me around that same time a few months ago, maybe even the same night. I appreciated when they were honest so I knew how to rearrange my dinner plans instead of waiting for hours and overwhelming the staff. This place has even left me extra food in my orders before, all of which is very delicious. My favorite is their orange chicken, it lasts me more than one meal. 5 stars
Last meal of the long 3 days trip, and it was good! Loved the homely environment with great service. The place is kind of empty. We liked the spicy shrimp, sweet and sour chicken was okay. The lady was super helpful with everything, and saw cute kids playing around. The foods are around $10-12, and I haven’t had any problem finding parking. The place outside has strange smell.
Sushi Ya
Came out here for dinner tonight with my wife, surprisingly best sushi I have had in Sussex/Morris so far. Food: we ordered smoked salmon sushi and spring rolls for appetizer which was really good! The red rose, king, and out of control rolls that we ordered were so good and flavorful, plus accentuated by their sauce pairings or distinct taste by the choice of fish. Service: the young ladies helping us were very nice and constantly checked in if we needed anything. Aesthetic: standard sushi restaurant, has about 10-12 tables.
I'm a bit of a sushi snob coming from NYC where there are many excellent authentic Japanese cuisine establishments. I often get turned off when I go to Japanese restaurants, and I hear Chinese being spoken from the staff. There was even a sushi restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ, that went as far as to play Chinese music. I thought "what desecration"! Then, when the food isn't well prepared and not representative of the Japanese, it's such a disservice and embarrassment to both cultures. Well, Sushi Ya is run by Chinese staff. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sashimi. It was fresh, tasty, and melted in my mouth. The presentation is decent. It would have been better if the wasabi was freshly grated and not the prepackaged concentrated kind. The accompanying salad and miso soup were simple and basic. I haven't tried the sushi with the rice nor the cooked foods. Either way, I applaud them for doing justice to the cuisine, at least with the freshness. Yes, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
Lotus Restaurant
We have been here a few times and we were here the other day and the place always has fresh food. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their restaurant. They have a lot of food choices, more choices than most buffets. Nothing is ever empty, and the food is always fresh when we were there. If they brought this restaurant to augusta, they would blow the other restaurants out of the water. The staff is always attentive, always refills your cups as soon as it's empty and they are very pleasant. The prices are cheap and for the quality of food is beyond reasonable. The owners are very nice and interact with the customers. No matter the time of day it's always busy but there's usually no wait. My husband says for a chinese buffet the pizza is one of the best he's had. They are small slices of pizza but my husband loves it. There is also other american food on the buffet. They offer a beer selection as well and have pepsi products. Kids will love this place because there's tons of choices. Chicken fingers, chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, pizza, etc. Tons of vegetarian options. The parking here is spacious and plenty of room, free parking. The decor is very nice, very elegant and sophisticated for an all you can eat buffet. They have tons of tables so it is wheelchair accessible. They accept debit/credit and cash. The only reason I'm not giving it a five star is because it's very rare I give one but I absolutely recommend this place and hope you give it a try. Overall, 4 stars!
Absolutely the best deal around. Amazing staff, wonderful variety of food. Buffet is super reasonably priced and a ton of options including an American food bar, salad bar, dessert bar, sushi bar, huge Chinese selection (2 bars), soup and the highlight of our toddler’s visit is always the ice cream bar! Tons of seating. Take out option. Also has a menu. Good drinks. Kids under 3 eat free. $12.50 for lunch $16 for dinner
Seabird
This restaurant is my whole childhood. The nostalgia is overwhelming.. I love this place and I hope it stays open for the rest of my life. Truly the best.
We are true Asian food lovers, we have eaten at places all over New England and beyond. Seabird was one of the worst, to the point that I was too afraid to eat pretty much anything. The Prawn Amazing, Shrimp and String Beans, and Mixed Vegetables in Garlic sauce were so watery that it looked like soup at the bottom of the bags and had a strange smell and coloring. My spouse enjoyed the Hunan Beef and I thought the Crab Rangoon were acceptable, but that is all I was able to eat out of $85 worth of food.
