Wok-N-Go
Our first time dining here - When we walked in the door we were greeted with a simple “hi”. We grabbed a menu and sat down on the bench in front to look it over. So many choices! My husband asked the gal what she recommended, maybe a top 3 best dishes - to hopefully narrow it down. She replied “nothing. I cant answer that. I don’t eat that” “hmm ok. What do you eat here then?” He asked. She said “not off the menu”. Talk about being short. Hmm - well okay. We ordered. She asked if we wanted any drinks. I asked if they had hot tea “nope.” Well alrighty then…. We sat in a booth - the restaurant seemed clean. There wasn’t anyone else dining in but their drive through and togo orders were busy. I got egg drop soup and an egg roll and he got pepper chicken. Both were good. The pepper chicken had a ton of flavor and fresh bell pepper and onion, which was delicious. I’d be more eager to return if perhaps there were a little more of a welcoming/inviting environment. We may return - but it won’t be for a while. Like the old saying goes….”You only get one chance to make a good first impression”
We just love the food here! The portion sizes are great, and I always have leftovers. We have tried most of the menus items, and they are so good. Dining in is not like a normal restaurant, dont expect waitresses. You need to order at the front, then item and drinks yourself. When I pick up my food, I normally walk in, but you can use the drive-through also. It's just a bit small. The staff are quick and efficient and taking a tone of phone and drive up orders. Even during busy hours, the food takes only 10 to 15 min and comes out hot and delicious. I have never had an issue with my order either. If you are a Chinese food fan, this is the place to go in Danville. And don't be fooled if it doesn't look open. It probably is.
Chinatown Gourmet
Such a great place to eat. Staff is friendly and attentive! They have a great family environment and food has always been super fresh every time I have been!
This place is exactly what you expect in a Chinese buffet. Tasty, simple, fast and friendly. What really stands out is the service. The owners are super friendly and they remember nearly everyone’s drink order by heart. My favorites here are the chicken on a stick. Salt heavy, and delicately roasted to perfection. One of my favorite local spots for fast friendly service!
