Oriental House
We came here for dim sum and loved it! Very authentic and definitely the best dim sum you can get in Louisville. Atmosphere is relaxed, good decor and recently renovated. Service was excellent. Love that they have authentic Chinese / Hong Kong food as well as American Chinese. Can’t wait to come back!
We love Chinese so we had so try this place. The cool sign got our attention. The food was top notch. Steamed pot stickers had great flavor and the sauce was very good. We hsd beef and broccoli & szechuan beef. Both were excellant. Tender beef and cooked perfectly. Rice wS what we call " glumpy" (sticky and soft) and we loved it. The crab Rangoon was the perfect finish. Hot tea was ok. Servings were large so we will get 2 meals each. We will return for dim sum.
P.F. Chang's
We dined at a P.F. Chang's in Kentucky and had a mostly good experience! The Mongolian beef and Teriyaki chicken were incredibly flavorful and cooked to really good. However, the rice was surprisingly bland and lacked seasoning. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately, he got our orders mixed up. This led to us getting two of the same dish, we were so hungry we ate them because we could not be bothered to wait anymore. He apologized, though. On the bright side, the price was very reasonable for the generous portions we received. Overall, the food quality and value made up for the minor service mishap. I'd suggest that the server pay closer attention to order details and revamp the brown and white rice recipe. Otherwise, P.F. Chang's remains a solid choice for those craving tasty Asian-inspired cuisine.
Amber is an Angel! She was so helpful and had such a beautiful spirit. Be the Light! Go team AMBER!✨
Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant
This mixed vegetable with shrimp dish has a very authentic taste. It uses fresh ingredients that are perfectly cooked and really stands out.
The food was good and didn’t have a bad price at all, it was just a bit bland
Liu's Garden Chinese Cuisine
Retired a few years ago and this was a weekly stop for lunch when I was working and my office was nearby. The food and service were predictably great. Since I hadn’t eaten there in several years I decided to try it today. Very disappointed. There were no other diners while I was there (red flag) and only one carry out customer came in the whole time. The place felt dirty and there were supplies stacked in seats. Numerous hand-written signs covered the walls. The food arrived on a paper plate and came with a plastic fork. When I dine in I expect plates and silverware at the minimum. This is not the mall food court. The food was tasteless except for the “medium spicy” I requested. Noodles were overcooked to the point they were soggy. The usual staff was no longer there and the new staff have apparently made some changes that have contributed to a decline. I still left a generous tip because I know the restaurant business is hard work. But… If you’re looking for a nice lunch with good food, good service and a little atmosphere, this isn’t it. Keep driving.
Ordered in door dash. Waited more than 2 hours. Called the restaurant several times to verify they got our order. Kept getting the runaround. I will never attempt to order food from there again. Rude, more than 2 hours and we had to cancel. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.
Oriental Palace
Chicken looked good, but it wasn’t edible. Some pieces were so stringy you couldn’t chew them, and the others were mostly burnt breading or just really really overcooked chicken (hard to tell). This is the third time I’ve tried them in the past year and it’s always the same- chicken is not edible. Crab Rangoons were amazing though and the Egg roll was fine.
Fantastic service & great food! We ordered from door dash & asked for a couple of the dishes to be made very spicy. Also, I needed gluten-free accommodations. They went above & and beyond. Everything was spiced as asked for. The Singapore Curry Noodles were flavorful & had a nice kick, even without asking for spice. The chicken wings were great & they even threw in an extra order, and considerately labeled the gluten-free wings. That, along with the extra chili oil for the AWESOMELY LOADED house special fried rice, has us sold as regulars. I look forward to enjoying a dine-in experience & to compliment them in person
Chinese Gourmet Express
I’m genuinely shocked by the low ratings for Chinese Gourmet Express, particularly at the Greentree Mall location. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, frequenting both this spot and their location at the Mall of St. Matthews. In my experience, this restaurant never misses. The food is consistently delicious, no matter what I order. It’s a favorite for my kids, too—they ask for it every time we visit the mall. The portions are generous, contrary to some of the complaints I’ve seen. For around $10, you get a meal that fills you up, which is a great value, especially compared to other mall food options. The cleanliness of the restaurant has always impressed me as well. I’ve never walked in and found it dirty, which is a major plus for a fast-paced mall food court establishment. The staff are polite and efficient, making the dining experience even better. The only downside I’ve ever encountered is the price of their drinks. If you opt for a bottled beverage, it’s not a full 20-ounce size, and the cost is on the higher side. However, that’s a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the food and service. If you’re looking for flavorful, satisfying Chinese food while shopping, Chinese Gourmet Express is a reliable choice. Clean, friendly, and delicious—what more could you ask for?
I was confused by some of these reviews and I realized they were not for the Chinese Gourmet Express at St. Matthews mall. The one at St. Matthews is the best Chinese in Louisville. By far. Great menu, awesome, friendly staff, and good portions. I've been coming here for over 15 years and it's the only place I eat at the mall. My favorites are the Bourbon Chicken, Hawaiian chicken, Pepper Chicken and my daughter LOVES their Orange Chicken. Trust me, it's delicious.
Panda Express
My family has always enjoyed eating at panda express until today, 3/24/25 at 8:45 PM. Today both of my kids ordered something simple, double orange chicken and noodles and instead of giving noodles when we got home, the box only had cabbage and onion with maybe 6 noodles! Can you imagine Getting Home and your kids opening a box that has only onions and cabbage !! My kids wouldn’t even eat the food very disappointing and a complete waste of money! All I can say is DO BETTER, we asked for noodles so if needed cook new fresh noodles if you have to ,if you don’t have enough noodles, but to give a whole box of cabbage and onion, it’s just ridiculous!
We dine here frequently but they just released the new spicy bourbon chicken and it’s my new favorite item on the menu. I hope it stays on the menu. Again, dine here frequently and will be back. This is a very good American Chinese cuisine restaurant.
