We ordered a Egg foo young lunch special which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a quart of white meat chicken Chop Suey which was also the best we’ve had in many years. We just moved here from Hernando Beach and were pleasantly surprised by the food quality at China Star. Thank you China Star for making today’s lunch so enjoyable. James D.

I work very close to China star restaurant in Springhill, right next to Publix. This was the first time I ordered and I ordered pepper steak with onions. Everything was cooked perfectly! The staff was very courteous and friendly! Lin went above and beyond!! Great food and I highly recommend!

Cooked with love. My husband and I went into this charming little restaurant not expecting much but found HIS love, the love of Jesus. The owners are completely compassionate and caring and make All of their food with love and fresh quality and joy in their hearts. We went in to order, but then seen that they have a pay it forward board. Which is how my husband and the owner struck up a conversation. We ourselves have been having a hard time. But God provided two meals trough a kind stranger that had them preordered just for us. The quality of the food is so fresh and clean tasting. The place is quaint and only a couple of small tables. But the hearts of the owners far exceed the size of the restaurant. If you go in to order try a favorite or yours or try something new if you’re feeling adventurous. All meals can be made hot or spicy because they’re all made with fresh ingredients daily. But the best ingredient of all is love. My husband and I are going to come back to pay it forward, as we are on our way to new jobs: order your favorites, pay it forward for another who is struggling and or just go in for the best quality Chinese food you’ve had in a while: I can tell you that you won’t be leaving disappointed.

This is literally my favorite Chinese restaurant of all time 🙌 the owner Yao is extremely friendly and has made me the best personal dish that I have ever tasted❤️ please give them a try ! And tell them Norbert sent you! Wink wink lol

Best in our area, but I'm from up north and the Chinese is different here compared to there. They have been in business for many years. I've ordered about 50 times over the years, they have always been friendly and food is good. The atmosphere could use an update though, in the waiting area, not a great first impression when you go there

We had ordered here due to our normal place closing. It was nasty. The food was cold. The chicken on a stick was chewed my daughter did not even eat it. The chicken low man had no vegetables in it just celery the sauce they used was yuck. We where up all night sick from their food. We will not go back.

Very clean place. We went pretty early in the day, so it was pretty empty. The food was hot and came out quick. The server was also very nice. The prices are very reasonable, which is very refreshing to see now and days. I will certainly go back.

I had a great server, very nice from start to finish. It's been over 15 years since I've been in a Chinese restaurant, and they bring the fried noodles and duck sauce before they take an order. They make the duck sauce and noodles fresh daily. I had a huge plate of dragon Phoenix, and my wife had shredded szechuan beef. Food was big portions and tasted perfect. I had to try it because I heard so many good reviews. I recommend this place.👍👍

We enjoyed an actual sit down Chinese restaurant. The orange chicken is plentiful, not spicy by request. Chicken chow main and sweet and sour chicken also good. Vegetable fried rice excellent. Will try egg rolls and soup next time.

I heard about a new Chinese restaurant in the area and decided to try it out. They have an extensive menu and I picked the garlic chicken. Plenty if food in my takeout and very tasty. I am dropping them from 5 stars to one star. I stopped there last night and placed an order and paid for it. I sat down at the table immediately adjacent to the cash register so I was totally visible. After about 20 minutes I stood up and looked out the front window. The cashier then saw me and pulled my order off of the wall where it had been hanging for some time. I questioned her as to why she did not give it to me earlier and she said “I didn’t see you”. I was sitting 5 feet away. No apology. Poor work on her part.

Great food, Prices are good too! Pleasantly surprised bc I don’t ever hear anyone mention this place when recommending Chinese food around here. Also, seemed to be family owned and operated.

The young girl behind the counter was the rudest. She didn’t say hello- just stared at me. Didn’t ask if she could help me. All she did was stare. Honestly I’ll never go back because I refuse to be treated like that. I have read other reviews saying the same thing. Why would they have someone mean and rotten answering phone and dealing with customers is beyond me. By the way the food was awful too. Definitely stay away from this place

Food is very good BUT......gave me a migraine which used to happen with MSG. I thought it was outlawed awhile back but I cannot blame it on anything else. We ordered more than a few times. My husband and son really like this place.It does not effect them. I am a migraine sufferer so I am sensitive to whatever is in their food.

This food was atrocious. Ordered the General Tso’s extra spicy, it was super sweet and not spicy at all. The spring rolls were tiny doughy and disappointing. This entire experience was disappointing, never going back.

Delicious Sesame Chicken Combo served with ultra tender chicken. A bit pricey for Chinese food compared to Long Island pricing. Egg rolls are a bit smaller as well. Pleasant staff. They recently changed their Sunday hours to 3pm-10pm.

Had food delivered. Person who answered phone was very nice. Delivery guy was very nice. However, the food was subpar and that's being nice. Egg drop soup was cold and I had to warm up in microwave. Egg rolls were gross. Curry chicken was cold and had to warm up in microwave. More peppers than chicken as well. Not a great experience.

The sesame chicken sauce is better than other places around, which would be great if the beaded balls had any meat! After biting into several bread balls they were hard and fell apart in dry chunks. There was no meat in most of them, so I tore apart 5 hard bread balls with my hand and there was no chicken in 3 and a tiny bit of hard chicken in the rest. It tasted nothing like chicken. So I tried the orange chicken my husband ordered. The sauce was great, but the bread balls were the same! Are you trying to save money by cheating us out of chicken, or what?

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food was excellent including but not limited to the taste and portions. The staff is absolutely amazing. It's a delightful atmosphere. I will most certainly be visiting again whenever I'm in town.

Excellent experience for lunch. They have a broad lunch menu and prices are decent. Service is excellent. Overall the food is tasty, today was a bit salty, bit otherwise very good.

This Chinese restaurant was very nice, I had the general Tso Chicken. The dish was perfectly cooked, with crispy chicken pieces coated in a rich, tangy sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Accompanying it were fluffy white rice and a side of steamed broccoli, adding a nice balance to the meal. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return to try more of their delicious offerings.

First time here & it will not be my last. I went in on a busy Saturday but the wait was not bad & the service was impeccable. I had a big order & everything was perfect! My family loved everything. We had orange chicken, beef fried rice, fried chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, house rice, egg drop soup, beef & shrimp fried rice & broccoli beef. And everything was delicious! My family ate it all. We will definitely be back!

Writing this to genuinely be constructive and informational. And I’ll preface, it was NYE so we expected it to be busy. Time estimate for food to be ready was off by about an hour. Space was completely full with people waiting for their pickup past when it stated it would be ready. System needs to be more reliable. Everyone had to literally shout to get any attention to tell the staff their order number as they were all in the kitchen. Being busy like that is very stressful but addressing patrons is important. Nobody in kitchen wearing gloves and I could even see one cook’s drawers and behind hanging out of pants. Overall restaurant very dirty. Food was very salty and low quality. Chicken was almost all dark meat and the ratio of batter to meat was not good. Mostly all food came out of a deep freezer located in the lobby of restaurant. So disappointed as this place came highly recommended but we will definitely not be back.
