J's Cuisine
We were visiting from Missouri and ate here two nights in a row. Yes the food is that AMAZING!! Sorry no pictures the aroma of the food was too distracting. The attention to detail is above par! Highly recommend!! A local had recommended the Asian place downtown and it was okay but J's is by far the best in town! The atmosphere and aesthetics add even more to the place.
Cute, small, and quiet restaurant. The food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing/calm. Service was good, and food proportions were appropriate given the prices of the items. Their hot tea paired nicely with my cashew chicken.
He5 Asian Bistro
Definitely a hidden gem!!! We ordered beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork beef low mein vegetable rice noodles (my fave) spring rolls and crab Rangoon everything was phenomenal and fresh with amazing flavor. This is definitely our new favorite spot the lady that rang us up was so nice and Even gave us free fried donuts!!!
This place is amazing! We drove from Greenville because there aren’t any good Asian cuisine options there. Their food was delicious and fresh. I also really appreciated the kind and bubbly woman who waited on us. We sat inside and it was a cute little intimate space. We will be back and will continue to support this business!
Tokyo Peking
Fresh hot quality food. Server was very friendly and attentive. Like that they bring the food out as finished cooking. Our 4 year old granddaughter shared she was very hungry, and her meal was on the table in less than ten minutes!!
A family friendly restaurant with great food in a pleasant clean setting 👍 The egg drop soup is especially delicious ❤️
Asian Cottage
I have been here a few times and I adore their ragoons more than anywhere else I have gone to. The prices are honestly cheaper and I can eat multiple times with how much they give, which is a huge plus. They've always been sweet and friendly and have even given me recommendations when I wanna try something new.
Customer service was fair and fast. The food on the other hand lackluster. I ordered the chicken lo main and could barley find the chicken or veggies all noodle. The cheese steak egg rolls are laughable, don't waist your money. We also ordered the Mongolian beef, it had no beef all onion...no foreal! ALL ONION. The honey chicken almost tasted like they made it with ketchup no honey. Needless to say, we were very disappointed because we were looking forward to finally finding good Chinese food close to our area but was let down yet again.
Hong Kong Kitchen
This place is amazing. Very friendly service and amazing family restaurant. Quality and quantity is perfect. I usually don’t finish Chinese food cause it’s so greasy or I just don’t like it sometimes but this was perfect. Ate everything. I would highly recommend this place. My mother always told me that when someone cooks from a place of love and happiness the food comes out great. 5/5 for me
Don't suggest eating in, but definitely the best of this type of food in a 20 mile radius. I eat carryout here 2-3 times per month and it's always top-notch food and friendly people working there. A little pricey for what it is, but I don't mind paying extra for a little consistency as long as it's consistent goodness.
China Moon
Great place for carry out. The steamed vegetables were really good. The crab Rangoon unfortunately was thin and very bland. Super nice and friendly, will be back!
The service was friendly and the food was hot but it dident meet my standards on flavor and texture. The food was bland and the veggies were kind of mushy with no char or pan marks indicating a fast cook. :( hopefully this can improve, it would make the food a better .
Jing Jing Garden
I decided to order take-out tonight and the food was great as always. I don't care what all the bad reviews have to say and I like to form my own opinion and I don't follow the herd lol. I've ate Chinese food at many restaurants all over Indiana and Illinois. Love the shrimp fried rice and sweet n sour pork, my mom always orders the General Tso's chicken and loves it plus they are consistent and fast service. Support your local small business. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
Mongolian beef was a little different than what I'm used to. No spikes to it Just onions beef and green pepper never had it that way It was okay. Egg rolls were delicious. First time I tried it I'll definitely want to try something different next time
Rice House
I stopped by for lunch today. I ordered the orange chicken, crab Rangoon, and hot and sour soup. Hubby ordered honey chicken, crab Rangoon, and hot and sour soup. Also, I got an order of Mongolian beef to take try and also take home. The service was perfect. They were quick with bringing the soup out. The food was made fresh and was so good. It came out nice and hot. The chicken was breaded perfectly and nice and crispy but soft at the same time. The soup and crab Rangoon were yummy. The Mongolian beef was also delicious. The meat was flavorful and tender. My husband ordered the Mongolian beef to be able to take to work for a couple of days this week for lunch. The prices are so reasonable too. This is my husband's favorite Chinese restaurant in the metro, and it is always consistent.
The Chinese lady was extremely rude. Wouldn't let me examine the food that was prepared. When I got home I opened to see what 5 of us ordered and the amount of food that I paid for for 5 people to eat was EXTREMELY disappointing. You would think if I pay 63 bucks for an order per person you'd get a decent amount of food. You don't. I've been to other Chinese restaurants and they gave us way more than what we paid for. extremely disappointing service and the lack of food per person is really disappointing, the food also lacked taste. Would never recommend this place.
Chen's Buffet
I had to rate 1 star in order to post my experience. Otherwise, ZERO would be more adequate. At one time, going to Chen's felt like stopping by your cousin's cookout. Friendly atmosphere. Everybody around the food table with plates, nodding at one another, GOOD food. The previous few years i had been most pleased with the owners, staff, food, and SERVICE. But, then, that all seemed to change- with change of ownership. 3/8/2025- I telephone Chens in order to let them know that, although I hated to make the call, the Shrimp Fried Rice I'd ordered for carryout had a burnt taste. I was told that this is the way it was supposed to taste. I reiterated that no, I've had their SFR before, and this is burnt with singed carrots, eggs, and shrimp. I was then hung up on. And, I assure you, the entire time I was speaking politely, as I honestly did not want to phone with a complaint. However, I really couldn't afford this splurge right now, that is absolutely inedible! I tried to phone back, but it went to voicemail. Totally unprofessional! This is the lowest amount I've ever spent there. Instead of replacing a meal that they know isn't right, they've lost a customer, and I'm sharing my experience. I am so disappointed. Granted, a few years back, the food used to be really good - but, I feel the main reason most people loved Chen's so much during that time is due to the way we were all treated, almost as family. I refuse to go back. Not with the most recent change.
Good food. But upset that when I broke $100 there I was charged $30 for a meal for me and my four year old. Was told it was $21. If there were cameras I'd go back in and complain about it. Anyway. I won't be breaking hundreds any time soon anywhere else other than my bank.
China Restaurant
Yes! Our first time eating under the new owners. The portion sizes were so large. Everything we tried was delicious. We had leftovers for lunch and enjoyed it piping hot when it came through our front door. Super pleased with the food and the service we received on the phone and when we picked up our large order (gotta feed this army of growing teens!!). Will eat here again.
The food was amazing, probably best I've had in and around the area from KC to Coffeyville Ks. However I was there Monday 2/10/25 @ 12:30 pm I ordered the lunch specials @ 7.95 ea the lady absolutely refused to give me the lunch price and insisted she gave me the dinner portion 🤦♀️ I didn't even have a reg menu I had the lunch specials menu I even pointed to the 3 meals I wanted. She questioned me about wanting 3 meals
China East Chinese Restaurant
China East has what I would consider slightly above average food. However when combining the food and price of it it's a better value than a few other local Chinese buffet locations. My personal favorites are their egg drop soup, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken and deep fried shrimp. One area they can definitely improve upon is the labeling of their dishes. For example, on my last visit there was a dish labeled frog legs. However it was obviously not frog legs but deep fried fish. This labeling can easily discourage the trying of a new dish that may look appealing but the uncertainty of what it actually is can definitely cause one to skip the dish all together. One thing to note is the lack of a hibachi grill. While not a deal breaker for me it might be for others.
Full 1 star , probably the most disappointing food / buffet i have EVER had! Not only are you paying 19.99 for the buffet! But the buffet is 50% snack 25% salad bar and 25% actual food... basic and bland. Also they don't refill often... had 2 plates of rice and chicken which is pretty much all that was decent. Save your money and don't go.
Dragon City
I have been ordering from Dragon City for a few weeks through Grubhub. The food hasn't been that bad... but Tonight I ordered the boiled dumplings. The insides look completely raw. I'm worried because I ate a few and really don't want food poisoning :(
Ate inside tonight as a Christmas Eve tradition and chose this place for the first time. We got General Tso, Sweet and sour chicken, crab ragoons and fried dumplings. Everything was piping hot and delicious flavor. Will definitely be back. Very nice and cheerful staff. Greeted us with a smile.
