Hi Ho Chop Suey
I was lucky to be alone in the restaurant, nice place but didn't give me time to choose and they served can soda, but they are friendly.
Pretty cool restaurant on the inside. Kind of looks like a pirate ship for some reason. I ordered their pot stickers for an appetizer, and they were incredible. Ive never had pot stickers like that! They were shaped like biscuits and tasted great. I also ordered THE hi-ho chop suey not really knowing what chop-suey was and it had a lot of good textures, but the sauce was just so bland! Like I’m sure if you like chop-suey it’s good here, but I just don’t think I like chop-suey.
New China Restaurant
Good stop for a quick bite when in the Erskine Plaza area. Normal Chinese buffet selection. Soft serve ice cream machine is available. They charge a reasonable price for entry. Drinks are included and self serve which makes sense at a buffet. Dinner for two was around $25 which is a good price for what you get here.
For the price you pay, the quality and verity of choices you get is amazing. Staff is on top of their game, keeping your table clear of plates. Host is friendly and willing to answer questions. I normally approach buffets with caution as the food can be old and dry. The have a new grill feature where you can choose your ingredients and they cook it in the kitchen for you to pick up. THIS HAS TO BE THE CLEANEST BUFFET I'VE EVER BEEN TO
Oriental Express
My family and I order from here a lot. The food is really good and reasonably priced. It is prepared quickly. The service is always good. Our favorite thing to order is the House Lo Mein. The egg drop soup is awesome as well.
We will become regulars here. Very good food and large portions. Friendly and fast service. Prices are very fair, cost no more than picking up burgers, and we have enough left over for lunch tomorrow!
Dragon Express
Great food! We had the buffet, eat-in, (Togo buffet available as well) and I was great! They kept it fresh and delish the entire time! Could've definitely used some music or something, could've almost heard a pin drop haha. Very nice service all around! Definitely will return!
First time at this place. Decided to try the buffet to sample a little bit of the menu. To me, it seemed that all of the fried food was a bit over cooked. Tried the sweet and sour chicken, fried chicken, General TSO's chicken, crab rangoon, fried scallops , pork egg roll, chicken and broccoli, pork with mushrooms (I liked this the best), and pork fried rice. Like I said, I sampled a little bit of each item. Since I tried the food from the buffet, I will go back and order takeout next time. I don't know how fresh the food I tried was
China House
Food is fire. Pay in cash and you can't beat the price. Been searching around michiana for 2 years for decent Chinese style and this is it. Quant hole in the wall place in small town USA Walkerton with nice people running it. Been here a couple of times over the last 4 months and the food has been consistent and delicious. Orange chicken and Cashew chicken were on point. Lo Mein is some of the better I have had. Worth the drive.
Was in today and got the hot and spicy chicken. Not impressed at all. No flavor at all and no heat to it. Almost tastes like it just has tomato paste or sauce with no seasonings at all. Very disappointed. Egg roll was the only good thing. Rice wasn't even good. Was in right at 11am so it wasn't becuz they were busy. Definitely not happy and probably won't be back.
O G
Not good at all. Not sure what kind of rice they use but it's terrible. I spent $16.42 to still be hungry. The Shrimp egg roll was delicious. I'm so disappointed because I'm still hungry waited all day for Chinese to be utterly disappointed. 😢
Been going here for years food is good every time only compliant is the lady running the counter. Being the face of your business first wouldn’t expect a white lady and second one that is so rude. You would benefit by replacing her. But again your food is good and would gladly give more stars when she’s not there until then I will go to Zing.
Golden Dragon
Bourbon chicken did not taste like bourbon chicken. It was good enough to finish though. Dirty tables every time I’ve been there. Sticky tables. They are courteous, but not friendly. It was ok. Egg rolls were really though. Nice and crunchy.
Best chinese I have had in this town. the food is fried golden brown. Amazing and will go there everytime
China House
We absolutely love getting our takeout from here! The food is always great and plentiful for the price. And the customer service is always wonderful and pleasant. Plan on going back very soon
Family owned for over 20 years. Authentic tasty food! Owners were hard at work but took time to chat. Definitely check this one out!
Big Panda Buffet
This one will be in the pros and cons list style because I feel it will be more effective. I will say we have a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers (14,13,13). The total including drinks was $64.15, which I feel is very reasonable these days. PROS: * The price is very reasonable for the current times. * There are a lot of different food choices. * There is an ice cream machine, just chocolate and vanilla. * They have duck sauce, and that's a huge win for me personally. * The inside has small trinkets for sale, which is fun. * Big parking lot. * No fish smell when you walk in. * They do a good job keeping the food treats full and switching them when they are empty. * The wait staff cleared the plates from the table promptly. * Both times we came here, we received a $5.00 off coupon for a return visit. CONS: * The temperature of the food is warm, but since a buffet, it is never really HOT. * They only have Pepsi products... * No hot tea option. * I DO NOT SUGGEST THE FRUIT. We tried it both times, and it just was not good. * Although they have soft serve ice cream, they did not have cones either time we went. * I feel that there are too many seafood dishes as well, but that is just a personal thing mostly. OVERALL: We will likely return, but I am going to be completely honest. The reason for the return business is because of the price being so reasonable. The food is only mediocre at best. but in the financial crisis our country is dealing with currently, mediocre is what I can afford.
After my favorite buffet closed down, I had to find somewhere new. This has been my favorite place to eat. The jalapeño chicken is absolutely fantastic. I love making the trip here once a week. Love those egg rolls.
Valley
Always good service and amazingly affordable prices! Best Chinese food in Michiana and great breakfast as well! Servers are always friendly and great quality food for the money! Highly recommend to try!
Been here multiple times for breakfast & it's one of the top 3 in Michiana. But.... came in for dinner & for the Orange chicken on a Saturday. I love Chinese food & or was the absolute best orange chicken I've ever tasted. Eaten at the best Chinese restaurants in 7 states & this was the best orange chicken bar none. You gotta try it...
Mandarin House
Really enjoyed our dinner here tonight. Service was prompt and friendly. Started with Hot & Sour soup, crab Rangoon and pot stickers which were amazing, don’t miss out on these. Entrees were Cashew Chicken and Triple Delight both were fresh, hot and delicious. My wife of 27 years has never cared for Chinese food much…. Tonight she said we can go here anytime as she loved it.
Had lunch delivered to me today. I ordered the Lemon Chicken lunch combo 'B' which came with an egg roll and soup. The presentation of the food overall was not really appealing. But it tasted decent. It was interesting that the chicken was a whole chicken breast rather than smaller pieces. Since it was basically one whole piece the breading kept falling off, where with smaller pieces it would not. It's nice that it was fresh and whatever but there was nothing to get excited about flavor wise... The greasy egg roll tasted good, and the Wonton soup was ok. The fried rice was pretty much just there, it lacked flavor. Obviously the fortune cookies are my favorite, so they made me happy for sure. Unfortunately, The meal was served with only one soy sauce, and zero napkins. Would I go back? Or try something else from here? Truthfully, probably not. I do recommend you give them a try though!! 😀
Panda Chinese Restaurant
You can’t go in, they hand your food to you through a window covered in plastic. looks dirty inside. the fried rice is also black in color with no flavor. the rest of the food tastes like oil.
They use to be awesome, but be careful with chicken and broccoli when I got my food to my car something smelled weird. I got home open up my food in a skunk really bad. The chicken I believe was spoiled or is it really chicken?. Be aware!
