WOK & ROLL CHINESE RESTAURANT
i only come in once every couple weeks & the girl during lunch hour always remembers my order and is the sweetest. the food is always great! i would come WAY more often if i was able!!
We took a chance since we were on this side of town and were hungry for Chinese food so found Wok & Roll, a very typical takeout place. We wanted to dine in since we were not close to home the cashier was very nice and we ordered the Hunan Chicken and my boyfriend ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan. We were pleasantly surprised and the food was delicious, too bad we live in Westfield definitely will check them out again!!
Rice King
Let me start with saying that this was my go to Chinese restaurant when Foon Yings was under construction for almost a year. But that has ended with this one meal alone. My go to order is Sweet and Sour Chicken Combination Meal, which includes an egg roll and I also order a shrimp egg roll on the side w/ a drink. This meal was extremely disappointing, after paying almost $17 for the food alone and then tipping $4 for what I thought was good service I feel bamboozled. I believe my entire meal was an old meal from a previous day. The chicken was OVERCOOKED and very displeasing to the eye. Truthfully they look like dried up chitterlings. The fried rice was extra fried and greasy. The egg roll that came with the meal was GREASY and SOGGY. The sweet and sour sauce was like jello and lumpy, which is odd because that is not the consistency of sauce. The only thing I was pleased with and ate was the shrimp egg roll which was still greasy because it came fresh out the grease, but they are now making larger egg rolls I noticed since Foon Yings reopened their establishment. The pricing was okay, though they charged me $2.75 for a 16.9floz Dr. Pepper. I may be looking at this from a petty pov, but in this economy I think sodas should stay in a reasonable price range. Again I was excited to get the food so at the time of purchase it did not matter - but now I’m dissatisfied with my choices. All in all I would say proceed with caution when coming to this restaurant. Previous visits were good and up until today I have never been so disappointed. Next time I will just wait the 90mins to get FRESH Foon Yings.
I always loved the Hong Kong Inn and searched for years to find a place almost as good. Then I found Rice King. The food is so similar to Hong Kong Inn that I asked if they knew of the place. They worked there in those days! No place else for me! Freshest rice, great chop suet, and egg rolls that never taste doughy.
Super China Buffet
been coming here for years never spent anything over $17, yesterday it was 26$. the food was not that good. imitation seafood should NEVER be that expensive. i couldve just got a seafood boil around the corner. cheap quality
Friendly staff, but an empty buffet never means good things. Went at 6pm, prime dinner time, and food did not look good and only four or five patrons. I hope they pick back up, but at $20 for dinner, this was probably my last visit.
