Asia Wok
Ordered take out from this location for the first time in an extremely long time. 2020 timeframe was the last time. A lot has changed since then. Positives include a pleasant dining room and generally pleasant cashier. But as shown in the picture, I don't understand why I received crispy noodles you would get with soup in my entree order instead of steamed rice. It's quite mind bending. Overall, this location is overpriced based on what you order. I won't return. Panda Express across the street is way better.
The best thing about this order that I had delivered was that it arrived within the time frame. The entire meal was not worth the price. The rice was bland no flavor. The szechaun chicken way too sweet, little to no meat. More sauce than chicken. The pic I posted is after I added rice because having just the little meat and sauce was not good. The egg roll had more meat than my entire meal. The Crab Rangoon tasted off, perhaps they used different cheese than cream, but it was not good. I'm upset this was my lil treat and it ended up being money wasted. I am now making a pb&j. With little delivery options in my town, I know that I won't be ordering from here again.
China Bistro
I called and ordered Kung Pao Chicken. Instead they gave me orange chicken. When I went back to the restaurant two of them wanted to argue that that was indeed Kung Pao Chicken. It wasn't I had to throw it away because it was definitely NOT what i had ordered i know the difference between those two dishes the taste and ingredients but they didn't even try. I should have asked for a refund but I was at work my self and had just stepped out to pick up the food. I DO NOT RECOMMENT IT.
I really enjoy everything I've ordered from here. The location is so clean and the employees are very nice. Everything I've ordered has been perfect, hot, fresh, and ready to go in the time frame provided. It's definitely my go-to place.
Panda Express
The portions seem to get smaller and smaller, yet the prices have gone up. Got a bowl with a few pieces of broccoli and like 5 slivers of meat for $9 after tax. Stop being so skimpy of the food please!
BEWARE: Panda Express US 36 Avon, IN So disappointed, food was good until I bit into this metal object buried in my food. Glad I realized it before too much damage was caused. I literally have never experienced this anywhere. Then to see other reviews wherw customers had found screws and plastic in there food also. I would absolutely never return. What if child had gotten ahold of this, an elder.... If I had not realized and swallowed this it could have torn up my insides. This is unsatisfactory, unacceptable, unsanitary and DANGEROUS. I will be reporting to the local health department.
ASIA WOK
Asia Wok is amazing! I had the Princess Shrimp for lunch with a side of crab Rangoon and a drink for a very reasonable price! Not only did I receive 8 nice sized lightly breaded shrimp but a substitution in the order to accomodate my preferences. The restaurant was clean and had outstanding service as well! I will be returning. And I noted the menu offered gluten free selections!
As an over-the-road truck driver, finding good food is like finding a unicorn – rare and magical. Well, folks, Asia Wok in Plainfield, IN is that unicorn! After a marathon drive that felt like I was reenacting "The Fast and the Furious: Truck Edition," I stumbled upon this culinary oasis. The portions here are so generous, I thought they were trying to fatten me up for a cooking show. The General Tso's Chicken was so good, I almost proposed to it. Sweet, spicy, and cooked to perfection – it was love at first bite. The staff? Friendlier than a golden retriever at a dog park. They welcomed me like I was a long-lost relative, and the service was faster than my truck on a downhill slope. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy, a nice change from the usual greasy spoon diners. And parking? Plenty of space for my big rig, so no need to practice my parallel parking skills. Speaking of parking, let me tell you about the time I tried to park my truck at a tiny diner in the middle of nowhere. I thought I had it all figured out until I realized I was stuck between a tree and a dumpster. After a 20-point turn and a few choice words, I finally managed to squeeze out, but not without leaving a few tire marks on the pavement. Thankfully, Asia Wok has ample parking space, so no need for any trucker gymnastics here. If you're ever in the area and need a meal that will make you forget all your road woes, Asia Wok is the place to be. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a happy trucker belly!
China Wok
The bourbon chicken I ordered last night for dinner about 6:30pm. The main dish looked as if it was left over from lunch and rewarmed for my purchase, even though it looked as if it was prepared as I waited. It was like tough pellets. The egg roll was full of shredded cabbage with no other recognizable veggies, and bits that looked like FAKE BACON BITS, not real meat of any kind, and maybe red pepper flakes. The Crab Rangoon order was also simply sweetened cream cheese-like filling, with no crab noted. The steamed rice, was not white, nor fresh. There were few carrot pieces, or there noted veggies, and not much of a sauce on the bourbon chicken to give moisture to the meal. Since the rice was more brown, it stands to support the length of time the dish had been prepared and served. I will not return to this resturant at any time in the near future. I want a refund of my $16 meal, plus my $3 tip. I was being generous, will they be concerned about customer opinons?
We’ve been calling in orders for years. For a bit of time the quality was not good. We gave them some time to hear feedback and work out any issues. Very happy with the food tonight. Meat was cooked perfectly, soup was hot and rice was not undercooked. Be patient with local businesses.
Happy Dragon
Excellent food & service. This is the best Chinese food I’ve found near Indianapolis so far. Chicken lo mein, chicken on a stick are both 🤌🏻 so good and they cook when you’re there.
We used to like their food so the higher prices were ok but my last to go order made both me and my husband sick. The food tasted off like the meat might have been spoiled and they used it anyway. We will not be ordering from them again.
No.1 Restaurant
Best Chinese and only Here in Danville! Ha Their crab ragoons are delicious! Small dining room and no hot tea!I like to sip on Chinese tea before my meal! Service is good! These folks have been around here for years and are well loved! Their food is some of the best! They put some of the red sweet sauce in with my egg roll and that was best I've ever tasted! Right on 36 tucked in the middle of tiny strip mall
With all the traditional Chinese carryout joints closing around me in nearby Pittsboro, I was desperate to find the closest place to me for carryout. And to be clear, I want a place that has lunch specials, and combos where you get fried rice and an egg roll, potstickers, and good portions. This is the place. A couple tables inside, boxes of soy sauce, hot mustard, and sweet & sour in the lobby, super friendly and present owners - that's EXACTLY what I want to see when I grab Chinese carryout.
Panda Express
We were greeted kindly. With that many people behind the counter, how can someone not keep the forks and lids filled? Girl at the counter, STOP TAPPING YOUR NAILS ON THE REGISTER! The food was good, but we had to ask for forks, and, although this is minor, enough fortune cookies for everyone. It just felt like this was a restaurant that somehow wasn't fully open for business
This location is very disappointing to say the least. I ordered the family meal. Since when have they counted the scoops of the food instead of filling the containers? 2 of my containers were barely half full. I asked the lady behind the lines if the grilled chicken was old as it looked dry, and she took the chicken and turned it to the other side and said " Is that better"???? Nonetheless, I never would come to this location again.
China's Best
Another food review typed below by my 11 year old son, using my account…he seems to really enjoy doing these reviews… - This amazing food was immaculate to the touch. It was served hot and fresh ready to go. I could see that it looked like a one of a kind food or desert. But the reason I put a 4 stars on food was because the chicken was a little too greasy. And other than that, it was amazing. The music was very relaxing too. Please go check this place out!
Very small selection and the food was the worst experience I’ve had in a Chinese restaurant. The flavors were off, the texture was weird. The place looks nice they just have bad food. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone it’s a waste of money. I tried over half of the options to find something that was good and nothing was. We left an all you can eat buffet still hungry. Save the money and pick a different restaurant.
Panda Express
The second time I order for pick up! Wrong orders again! Check your orders before pick up. It seems like they need someone to make sure we get what we paid for! 21$for this, not fair! Won't be back!
This panda express location has to be one of the slowest inconsistent panda express in the city. They always have workers that look like they don’t know what they’re doing, food not ready for 10-15 minutes, and food that can taste completely different from one day to the next.
Happy Dragon Restaurant
My wife and I got lunch at the Happy Dragon one day because of a menu we got in the mail. The food was well seasoned and cooked, hot and fresh as well. Definitely a great deal for the lunch specials! I have no complaints honestly this is a really good Chinese restaurant, 10/10 would recommend it.
This has always been our go to for General Tao’s Tofu and it was always so good! But tonight it was awful. The Tofu was like it had been fried, sat around, fried again, sat around, and then cooked again for my order. It did not have a soft center of freshly fried Tofu, it was also very dark in color. My husbands General Tao’s Chicken was just ok tonight. Again not up to past times. Will have to rethink where to get good Chinese Tofu in the future.
GREAT WALL
I ordered through DoorDash and whoa!!! The crab rangoons are amazing and the sweet biscuits are perfection. I also ordered plain lo mein noddles and general tso chicken with extra fried rice. I think with all the food I got, it came at a great price! Will definitely be ordering again or go in to eat the next time.
Employee up front was nice and helpful. Food wasn’t bad but not amazing. Chicken was kind of stringy, sauce was very thin/watery. Rice had a good flavor, but seemed a little over cooked and soft. Egg drop soup and egg rolls were good! Price overall wasn’t bad. Overall positive experience, but not the best I’ve had. Note: doesn’t seem to be a buffet anymore. Dine in option is available though! Lunch specials Monday-Friday, Dinner Combos available whenever.
