Stoney Point Grill - Mokena
My wife and I arrived after a movie we went to see around the corner. We just wanted to stop by and top the night off with a couple of drinks before heading home. As we walked in, all the staff stared at us and walked by us without even acknowledging we were standing there and waiting for service. After about 15 minutes or so we decided to turn away and then some young Caucasian female asked us if we had been helped. My wife replied, No, and all we wanted was to get a couple of drinks and maybe some appetizers to go with it. The young lady told us that we are not serving any food and that they were full. We did see a couple of empty tables, but we just left. I wonder if it was because we were black, 🤔.
Met my girlfriend after work for a yummy drink and dinner for the first time and everything was so yummy. We both ordered the frozen margarita with lime and shared their loaded pretzel with cheese and mustard dipping sauce. I had the smokehouse burger with sourdough bread, apple wood bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic aioli and grilled onions with this fried onion string. And I ended the night with Coors light on draft and it was so good! Everything was good. Typical bar atmosphere with some slot machines and service was decent. I would most definitely go again for their other food.
OMG Pho
Atmosphere is light and cute and fun. Food is delicious! Service was a bit off... as our appetizer came out at the exact time as my husband's food, but mine came over 5 minutes later. Still, the Tom yum was WELL worth the wait! Great flavors, and we'll be back soon.
This was our second visit to OMG Pho, and it was just as fantastic as the first! Upon entering, you’re encouraged to seat yourself, which we loved, especially since we snagged a cozy window spot to enjoy the beautiful fall views. We started with the spring rolls and peanut sauce, which came out so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to snap a picture—they were that irresistible! For drinks, we tried an Old Fashioned and a Moscow Mule from their well-rounded cocktail menu, perfect if you’re in the mood for something stronger to go with your meal. For the main course, we ordered the Three Chili Chicken and the Sliced Beef & Meatball Pho, both of which were just as flavorful as we remembered. The portions are very generous, so be prepared for leftovers if you can’t finish everything in one sitting. Kenny has been our server both times, and he’s excellent—super attentive and always checking in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. He kept our drinks topped off and made the experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again and hope Kenny will be there to greet us!
Kabab King Grill Naperville Fine Dining
I decided to try this place out for dinner on a Friday night. I got the butter chicken, plain rice (you have to order it separately) and the garlic naan. All of them were fantastic! The butter chicken was creamy, and the garlic naan was buttery and soft. Loved it!!
We went for dinner, and we have ordered chicken Beryani, was ok but strong smell of some of the spices might be clove, but was not bad. chicken karahi was the best out of all , we requested spicy but didn’t get the spicy it was mild, and behari kabab, was not tender but taste was not bad. Out of 10 I would give 5 point for food. Portion was good and ambience was ok.
Thai Orchid
I really liked this restaurant when I first moved into the area. Unfortunately, hospitality and food quality has since declined. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was met at the front by the man who would later take my order. I asked if they were open as it appeared as though he was locking the door. After a curt response of “yes”, he proceeded to open the door for himself and it swiftly shut behind him. I should mention I’m 8 months pregnant. I ordered the Thai Basil Noodle, a noodle dish with wide noodles, broccoli, bamboo shoots and chicken, requested it be at the highest spice level. When I came back to collect my order, I was told my meal would be “medium” and when I asked for this to be corrected, they put a vinegar-based condiment into my bag. When I opened my order, I was disappointed to see my noodles were super-short, my broccoli looked and tasted as though previously frozen. While there was a decent amount of chicken, it seemed rubbery and some pieces were burned. The vinegar- based hot sauce included threw the dish off for me, personally. There also seemed to be a hair in my food. Overall, was very disappointed with the meal.
Take out only, but this is my go-to Thai place!! Love their curries and the Tom Kha veg soup. We always get “Thai spicy” spice level, and the flavor is amazing!
Zaap Zaap Thai
My meal was delicious I had the Pad Wen Sen and a ice coffee. There isn’t much seating so ideally take would be easier but the man helping us was very nice. The sweet and sour wasn’t what we expected but it was still Good it had more of a bbq taste to it.
Couldn't say no more. This one is the best in town!! Come here if you want a real taste Thai food.
Rising Sun
Rising Sun is the best (and among the oldest) Chinese restaurant in the area! I have eaten here about once or twice a month since they opened in New Lenox (so, 250-500 times) and Rising Sun is the absolute best! Every single order (yes, really) has been perfect, with enormous, delicious portions that always leave us with leftovers. I recommend them so much!
The General Tso is not even orange, it’s dark blood red and taste disgusting. The pork fried rice that came with it is super oily and even pools on the bottom of the Styrofoam food container. The food quality has gone down so much. We’re sticking with Mo’s from now on!!
China One
China One on Manhattan is our go-to spot for amazing Chinese food! We order from them all the time, and they never disappoint. Their honey chicken is a favorite—crispy, tender, and coated in the perfect sweet sauce. The portions are always generous, so there’s plenty to enjoy. The crab Rangoon is another highlight—golden, crispy, and filled with creamy, delicious goodness. The owners are incredibly kind and make every experience pleasant. If you’re in the area, China One on Manhattan is a must-try. We’ll definitely keep coming back!
Good food, fair price and fast service.
Oy’s Thai Cuisine
The best Pad Thai I have ever and will ever have. I've been going to this place for years and I have yet to find a pad thai that is as good as the one they have. The lunch special is also a very good deal and their takeout orders are extremely quick.
This was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Not sure how the stars were high online. Maybe I ordered the wrong items, but I won’t try again. My spring rolls were bland in flavor. My yellow curry I forced myself to eat (I didn’t finish it). I hate wasting food. There were barely any potatoes and filled with onions, I had an onion curry. It wasn’t sweet at all. This was probably the worst meal Ive had ever. Oh the Thai tea was ok. Two stars because the service was good.
Som Za Thai Cuisine
I do not have a single bad word to say about this restaurant. I found them by chance on doordash and have ordered from them to the hospital I work at every single week for over a month now. The food comes piping hot and fresh every time. It is so delicious and helps me get through a long nursing shift in the ICU. I've never left a review before but this place absolutely deserves it. So impressive. I get the ground basil chicken and a different appetizer every time I order. So much flavor packed into everything they prepare.
I'm not one to write reviews but this place was amazing! It's small and decorated nicely; we had the whole place to ourselves at noon. The Thai iced coffee was out of this world...and half the price of places like Starbucks. Seriously, try this coffee! The Tempura Udon was delicious; the broth was mild but tasty and they give you a large portion. Chicken katsu was amazing and absolutely delicious. The lady who served us was polite and friendly. Price wasn't bad for all the food! :) (Pictures include: thai iced coffee, octopus appetizer, tempura udon, and chicken katsu.)
EDO Japanese Restaurant
My favorite place to come eat every weekend. They have the best sushi ever. The red dragon roll and the Vegas roll are my favorite ones to eat. And the noodles are delicious too. Definitely recommend.
The food is amazing and the server is fantastic. She was super attentive took non-verbal cues very well. As soon as I knew what I wanted she came over to take our order like she could read my mind. My noodles were perfectly cooked and spicy. The Red Bull Roll is also on point. The chef knows what he's doing.
Zuki
We ordered a golden sushi roll for delivery (uploaded receipt and menu item) and the roll we got came with avocado even though it’s not listed on the menu and my boyfriend is allergic. He ate two rolls before realizing and had a bad allergic reaction. We ordered this specific roll because it didn’t have avocados and checked the paper and online menu and it’s not listed. Not listing specific ingredients can be deadly to some customers. We will not be ordering again due to this. Update: the restaurant reached out to resolve the mistake. Updating reviewing to 3 stars due to them being on top of their reviews and assisting us.
Went here for my friend's birthday on a weekend right at dinner time. I booked at reservation and was seated almost immediately. The staff was very friendly and our chef on the grill kept the mood lively. The staff also gave my friend a nice birthday shoutout, even though I let them know it was their birthday, no idea what they were going to do so it was a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely go again and try the steak. As a person with a sensitive stomach, everything was really flavorful without any of the oil or butter triggering anything.
China Kitchen
Just in the area… not from here. I don’t know what people are used to from here but this is not good Chinese! The dumplings(potstickers) were so DOUGHY LIKE WHY IS THERE MORE DOUGH than actual meat! I ate out the meat and left the rest understand I paid so I will eat what is actually decent! Pay by card on the phone which I don’t like doing but required for card payment! The sauces given in these little cups for these BIG potstickers are ridiculous!! The bourbon chicken is a decent portion but not for the price! If it’s dinner should not look like lunch! Maybe I ordered the wrong things at this point! The bourbon chicken was decent but I may never order from here again! The size and sauces weren’t good enough! The locals are keeping this in business for sure they don’t know great Chinese! Good luck though
Food came out fresh and hot. A large portion and tasty. Employees came right to the table and very helpful. I will be returning.
