Panda Express
We recently visited Panda Express and tried their Teriyaki Chicken. It was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! The portion was generous, and the sauce added just the right amount of sweetness. Our server, Yulia, was amazing—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her excellent service truly stood out. We will definitely come back to enjoy more delicious meals here!
I came to picked up a family meal that serves 4-5 people, you get 3 entrees and 2 sides for about $35, which is not a bad deal! We pick the Walnut Shrimp, kung pao chicken and orange chicken as our entrees, and for the sides, we pick the noodles and fried rice! Both are great compliments to our entrees! I had to wait about 20 mins before I was out of there, cause all the entrees had to made fresh! I was there around 2 pm and it was pretty busy! The Kung Pao Chicken was really spicy and even more spicy the next day! Leftovers were great!
BIBIBOP Asian Grill
First time here. Basically an Asian version of Chipotle. You choose your base (rice, noodles or greens) and then protein, veggies and sauce. I had the sweet potato noodles with organic tofu, veggies and a sesame sauce and my husband had the purple rice with steak with gochuang sauce. Both were good for fast food, but my husband's steak was chewy instead of tender and was a cheap tasting cut. Service was very good at this location with both people behind the counter pleasant, and the dining area clean (though not too comfortable due to hard chairs). Unsweetened black iced tea with currant was delicious. Steak bowl was $13 and tofu bowl $11.
This is a dedicated gluten-free place and you can make sure any other allergens or dietary restrictions are taken seriously. It's an order at the counter kind of place, but very clean an inviting. It feels like a step up from Tokyo Joe's. The miso soup is available to anyone for self-serve. All the ingredients I had with my bowl were delicious. They even let me do the base as half and half: half purple rice, half sweet potato noodles. The bathrooms were clean too.
Shake Shack Vernon Hills
I walked into this location and straight to the counter as I was paying cash. There was no one at the register but there were three employees looking at photos on the stores iPad. I waited a few minutes making eye contact with several back of house employees and was not acknowledged by a single one. However Axel as soon as he saw me walked to the front to greet and help me. The gentleman was super polite and, as I sit inside the restaurant writing this review, is still the only person who has acknowledged me. I appreciate this young gentleman for being the only reason I didn’t walk out and the only reason this wasn’t a 1 star review.
Been to Shake Shack at Mellody Farm many times, and the food is really good. The ShackBurger with their sauce is amazing, though I wish it comes in a larger size. But the fries and shake make up for the smaller burger. The cookies and cream shake is amazing, definitely my personal favorite. Fries are quality as well. Staff is nice and relatively quick in getting orders out.
