Asian Bistro By Olette
When you meet an owner and you just know by the first few minutes of speaking with them that their heart and soul are 110% behind their business..there is no way that their food is going to be anything short of greatness. I had made a to go phone order over the phone and got nothing but complete respect and professionalism. It wasn't a large order, just a couple of different spring rolls for a light lunch choice. I grew up in this area but have not ever been here. I was immediately greeted by the owner and a young man behind the counter. Met with nothing but smiles and great hospitality. While waiting for my order, I had an amazing conversation with Josten (hopefully, I didn't spell that wrong). The conversation topic will stay between him and me, but he blew me away with his kindness and personality. It's not often you meet someone his age that puts others before themselves. He was raised right. Very impressive. Olette is so lucky to have him. Olette brought my to go order to me, along with fortune cookies, and off i went. I was so excited to get back to the house and eat it... I left without paying for my food. I called back up there, and all was good. My spring rolls were fried perfectly. The rolls were perfectly crispy and had the right amount of crisp to the crunch of them. They insides were stuffed perfectly with veggies and other with pork. So good. I only got 6, I should have gotten more. I learned they have been open for 10 years. They must be doing something right to make it in this town this long. I'm just sorry I hadn't discovered them sooner. In reviewing the menu, they have so many options, something for everyone and all priced very well.
NO. No no NO. What a major letdown. Sadly , after dinner, we are both still hungry . Never again. NOT edible. These are not pot stickers. They look bad, look like they've been deep fried in old grease? They taste BAD. The goyza sauce even tastes bad. I'm scared of what's inside of them The thick gross dumpling is still raw. The crab Rangoon have zero flavor and are dripping in grease. DRIPPING . Roomate SPIT out her egg roll, said it tasted spoiled. Her chicken wing wasn't even q full wing, it was dried up and barely had any meat. The only edible item we got, was the white rice and tofu. But sadly lost our appetites. Sad, especially for spending over $40. Never again!
