Fong's Chinese Restaurant
I really enjoyed my basil chow fun with chicken. The price was fair for the amount of food I received. Please give them a try if you are in the area. If I travel to the region again I would go back.
Road tripping and looking for vegan food. This place has options. If you are staying by the Comfort Inn and Suites Chicago airport then take a 2minute walk over here to eat. Great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Real Thai Restaurant
Real authentic Thai food! Everything is so delicious. The restaurant is clean. The service is superb. I highly recommend ordering from secret Thai menu. All dishes are flavorful. We got papaya salad with crab and fermented fish sauce. It’s spicy and umami. Crispy mussel pancake is my favorite dish. I order every time when I visit there. It’s crispy not oily and it comes with sweet and spicy sauce. My son love tiger cry with sticky rice. He finished this dish my himself!! It’s grilled beef with spicy tamarind sauce. The last dish that we got today is grilled pork with sticky rice. The pork is well marinated. It’s also yummy. We love every dish. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend if you’re looking for Thai authentic. This is one of the best.
I was pleasantly surprised with my takeout from Real Thai. They didn't shy away from the authentic heat of Thai food so everything I got was properly spicy. The Pad Kee Mao had beautifully charred, chewy noodles in a savory sauce which had green peppercorns - something you don’t often see! Laarb gai was tasty and had a good amount of toasted rice but was a tad dry for my taste. Papaya salad was solid but was slightly too sweet. The best thing I got was the spicy beef tendon soup. The tendon was too soft for my liking but the broth was absolutely amazing. It was a perfect amount of spiciness, bursting with flavors from the kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and various other herbs. Refreshingly tangy yet rich, it was an incredible, hearty flavorbomb.
Wing Hing Restaurant
Great tasting food that is not too expensive. Quick service. Just gotta remember that they only take cash.
Wing Hing is one of the best underrated Chinese places in the area. I have a hard time getting comparable Chinese food anywhere else as the food preparation here is very flavorful, tasty and savory. The portions are very generous and the prices are low. The Spicy Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, and Shrimp Lo Mein are some of my favorites, along with the extra crispy Crab Rangoons and delicious Won-Ton soup. The owners are really friendly and have been in business for a long time. I have been coming here for over a decade and anyone I bring to try it out has agreed that the taste is superb. Cash Only
China Cook
I ordered the orange tofu for myself and my boyfriend ordered the Orange Chicken lunch special which came with fried rice (or steamed rice) and a pop can. Both items were listed as spicy on the menu but neither were spicy. I saw some flecks of what looked like crushed pepper but I didn't taste the spice. My boyfriend said his food was not good. The chicken was rubbery and it tasted bland overall.
This place has some of the best Chinese food I have found near Hanover park/streamwood/Bartlett. Mongolian Beef is more traditional (spicy and not sweet, packed with beef, white and green onions and includes the crunchy white noodles). The fried rice with shrimp came with good size shrimp. The crab Rangoon is also packed with filling and you can tell they change their oil frequently. We also enjoyed their beef lo mein and sesame chicken. Their food is not salty, but if you like that add a little salt yourself to bring out a tad more flavor. Don’t plan on dining in, it’s not the greatest atmosphere. It is clean but clearly meant for carry out first.
Touch Of Spice - Authentic Indian Cuisine
I ordered Galebis and laddos. Very fresh. Made while I waited. So fresh and delicious!! Thry are mainly take-out and food truck at this time. The food truck provided excellent food for picnics and office parties.
We were the only customers in the restaurant which was pretty haunting. I thought they would’ve been grateful to have a customer but they weren’t. We didn’t want anything special, just some finger food. The waiter asked us three times if we are dining in or taking out. When we said we’re dining in, he mumbled “dining in for finger food” to himself in an annoyed way. The food came out fresh and it was good but nothing memorable or special. The waiter came back, started talking to us and made up some excuse about how there are no customers because they’re updating the interior of the restaurant. I didn’t believe that at all.
