Chef Ping
This is the best Chinese restaurant by far in the western suburbs in Chicago or perhaps in all of Chicagoland. If you are a fan of Chinese food, you will need to come visit. On most days there is no wait except for any holidays relating to a Chinese holiday. The food is delicious, plentiful and fairly priced. We have tried many restaurants and Chef ping does not charge you for additional bowels of rice and that is rare. Lastly the dishes are always large in their portions and most importantly— well done. Try the summer salad, Szechwan egg plant dish with fish sauce and you will be impressed on what great Chinese food taste like. These two are our favorites but there are many other excellent dishes. I highly recommend for you to try this place out!
10/10 no matter fact 100/10. This has been one of the most delicious Chinese food restaurants I have ever been to. The service is so welcoming, and even though it was super busy the food came out way faster than we expected. The fried rice, noodles, crab ragoons and egg rolls we ordered were all perfect. I literally cannot wait until me and my gf come back. :)
Penang Malaysian Cuisine
Great Malaysian food. I still have not found anything better in the city and I’m so glad I only live half hour from Penang Everything they do they go well from classic dishes like satay, char kway teo, as well as Hainan chicken and currys. These are the more recent dishes we had a mushroom ‘ spring roll’ which was a special for the day and very nice and different and not doggy like many fried foods. Soft shell crab really yummy. We love their mixed vegetable belancan. They have specials and their fried fish is so well deep fried you can eat almost every bone in the fish! And oh the other great thing is they are open Mondays when many other restaurants are closed ( and they close Tuesday).
The food was both very new to me and also comforting at the same time. Everything was texturally varied and had many different flavors. The gado gado was fantastic, very fresh, not overdone on the peanut. Murtabak was new to me and also really great! I will be back for more including rendang
Chungkiwa Restaurant
we were gonna go to another Korean place but they close Sunday…this korean bbq open and close by so we try… we came by at 155pm so late lunch, its like empty only had two other table that are seated. the place seem old but a lot of time old Asian place are yummy lol While iam cheap, not cheap on food…but how is a plate of short rib command $41.95 that has 4 pieces and 5 small sliced tenderloin beef cost $42.95 LOL Since we were the one of three tables, the services was quick and he was friendly. Upon seated, he gave us two bottle water and two juice for the kids! Fxxk me! This is how they get you, with kids juice lol The rib and beef were fine I can tell they are top quality! The pancake was very very good! The jap chae was good too but if they wanted $16.95 I believe the plate should have more food lol Overall, I like it here but overpriced a little…. When we asked for the check, they also give you ice cream, not cheap ice bream but haagen dazs ice cream bar! Come on now!! This is unfair LOL
Super attentive and nice. Good service. Food was good. Kids got complimentary icecream as a dessert and were very excited. My kid dropped a chopstick and in 2 seconds without even asking they brought a new one.
Los Arcos Restaurant
It was my first time here. This place was recommended by hotel staff. I'm glad they sent me in the right direction because this place was good. My food came out hot and fresh. Even after finishing one half of my 🌯 , the beans and rice the other half was still warm. Only thing that was disappointing was the 🌯 price was 12.99 , menu said you choice of meat. My choice was shrimp. I was up changed to 24.99 as a fajita meal. Margarita, a beer was good of course. No complaints there.
I have been eating here for 31 years, let me tell you the food and taste is consistent!!!! Amazing menu options, everything is made fresh to order!!!!
Lily Garden Restaurant
Waitress was amazing and so funny! We asked what’s good she pointed to three items and said YUM YUM, YUM YUM, YUM YUM haha. We got the black pepper chicken and Mongolian chicken and they were both piping hot and delicious.
I ordered egg drop soup. It was the worst soup I had ever tasted. It wasn't the golden color and silky soup I love. It was a brownish watery tasteless crap. I also ordered egg rolls. They never included sweet and sour packets for the egg rolls. I will never spend my money at this restaurant. I miss the original owners!
Port Edward Restaurant
What a great night! Food and service was amazing. Samantha and Doug were incredible bartenders. From start to finish food was amazing. Port plater was so good, king crab legs were enough to share. Perfect night. We will go back for sure.
We just stopped by here after kids have a trick or treat in Old town Algonquin. I ordered fried Oyster in hoping to still get a taste of oyster while pregnant, however this is what we got, 5% oyster and 95% breaded. It’s disgusting, if only we are not in a hurry I would have asked for the fresh one instead. We won’t be ever coming back here again , our food came and we don’t have our plates and utensils yet. My husband ordered the Port Burger and asked for Mayonnaise , it never came. Such a waste of money.
Mori Sushi
The sushi was great! Cute restaurant with great atmosphere and friendly service. Would definitely come here again. Also the garlic parmesan edamame was *chefs kiss*
How completely unprofessional and genuinely insane that we made reservations to eat here tonight for my wife's birthday. Only to have a poorly drawn sign saying you decided to close down for your daughters birthday? Why did you take reservations? Did you consider anyone else's special days? Clearly not, because you would have notified your customers, you didn't though. What a joke.
China Bistro
This was very disappointing. My wife had broccoli chicken that somehow had no taste or flavor at all. The chicken, broccoli, carrots were all bland. We don’t know how they did it. The sweet and sour pork was not much better. Hard, crunchy balls of fried dough with a dab of pork in the middle. I have never had crunchy sweet and sour before, and that was after it soaked in the thick, sweet sauce. Captain Crunch has nothing on this stuff.
Food was very good our first time, eggrolls, potstickers, shrimp with lobster sauce, mongo beef, everything was very good we are super chineese picky and we will return
Jaded Thai
One of the WORST Thai food I’ve had & I eat ALOT of Thai food. It’s my favorite food. Ordered delivery on DoorDash because Uber eats wasn’t working properly. It was charging the orders 2x the price & you couldn’t click on certain things. The Larb had no flavor, very very bland. Good thing I asked for a side or the flavored powder or it would not be edible. The papaya salad just tasted like peanuts, also very very bland & smells like gasoline. The papaya salad is not edible for me. Tom yum soup was ok, little too much tomato paste taste The Thai ice tea tasted normal but spilled all in the bag. The Thai custard was super soggy with water at the bottom of it, I think it was hot & steamed inside the container. Also not good flavor wise & weird texture, probably because it got soggy. All of it was very pricey & a waste of money! Very disappointed! I was craving some good Thai food tonight! Unless you like food that has ZERO flavor then I do NOT recommend.
Fresh food, great service, quickly served. We had Mongolian beef this time. Cashew chicken last time. Our hostess, Roshi, was friendly and took the the time to explain the different dishes.
Thumka Indian Express
Everything made fresh! Perfectly chewy hot naan, the sauce for the butter chicken had a great depth of flavor, and the mango lassi was delicious. Extremely helpful and friendly people at this business, I will absolutely stop in again for the great food and visit the tiny turtle Mr. Todo!
My first time...I enjoyed the taste of the food and was ready. Yet seeing what I ordered, I didn't get the right kind of fries for $5 😳, and also my bread was burnt and chewy. Yet the 2 dishes were good. Could have used more meat for almost $15.
Bangkok Thai & Sushi
Wanted some Thai food and decided to give Bangkok Thai a try. Unfortunately, their food was only mediocre and we both left disappointed. Service was subpar. Our waitress did not smile much. We did not feel welcomed. The restaurant was spacious and clean. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. It was lightly battered and tasted great! Chicken Pad Thai was a huge disappointment! All I taste was the cheap ketchup they used instead of tamarind. It was definitely NOT worth $15. It was disgusting. If I wanted to eat ketchup with noodles, I would’ve just made that at home. Avoid this dish!! Using ketchup as a cheaper substitute is horrible! The drunken noodle had better flavor than my ketchup noodles but it was extremely spicy. We won’t be returning when we are craving Thai food. They do have a large selection of cuisines on their menu that includes Japanese and Chinese as well.
Food is incredible! Red Curry Chicken is my favorite, and the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken is good as well. We always order the Chicken Satay as an appetizer and a side order of Potstickers. This is by far one of the best Thai restaurants in the Chicagoland area! Amazing food and very reasonably priced. Great staff and wonderful service.
Bistro Wasabi
Came for dinner with a group of 4, on a weeknight. The ambiance is very inviting with moody lighting and tasteful decor. It was quite a calm and relaxing environment- and you would never guess you are sitting in a strip mall off of noisy Algonquin Road. We took advantage of the Tuesday half-off deal on wine by the bottle (under $100). I had seaweed salad and the shrimp/scallops entree- which came with tempura vegetables and miso soup. Hubby had ceviche, and maki- crazy and dragon. Everything was delicious. After, we had green tea and mango mochi. Our server was very friendly and prompt. Had a great time!
Met with family to have dinner at 5pm. The place was very nice and the staff was cordial and inviting. The atmosphere inside was modern yet gave a subtle influence to its oriental tradition. It wasn't too crowded when we first arrived but then the patrons gradually increased. The drinks and appetizers were amazing consisting of Martinis, the steamed Edamame along with a shrimp and vegetable tempura. The main course of sushi rolls were also phenomenal. But the most important part of this was our hostess / server Nicole D. who did an Amazing / Phenomenal job with her service. She was very personable, friendly, funny and kept the dining experience engaging. She is to be commended for keeping us corralled and kept the evening light with fun banter and laughter, thanks to my brother in law. "Shaken / Not Stirred" when it came to his request for a unsweetened tea with lemon...!!! Many Thanks to Nicole D. and the rest of your staff for a great evening and awesome dining experience! We'll Be Back for Sure....!!!!!
