What A Dumpling
If you’re checking the reviews to see which spot is best to eat at I recommend you give this place a shot. I’ve tried almost every spot outside of the chicken spot in the front and I have to say that what a dumpling is by far my favorite. Reminds me of my grandmas and mother’s food. Homemade dumplings and the broth tasted great. It’s a complete different texture compared to the frozen ones. The Noona that worked there was great as well and I observed that all the customers that ordered from there were satisfied as well. When you see empty plates and bowls you know that’s a good sign. Support this business! :) I got the traditional one. No 7 I believe.
The employee that took my order was super nice. However, I guess I didn’t look carefully when I ordered. I got the triple dumpling soup that comes with no noodles. The triple dumpling soup comes with 3 traditional, 3 beef, and 3 kimchi. Dumplings were well made and did not taste like the frozen ones from a grocery store. In fact, the dumplings were very juicy and the fillings were perfectly cooked. It was very expensive for what I received. It’s about 3 for me, I would have liked to see at least a bowl of white rice accompany my meal. Since, the older woman was very kind. I’ll give this place a 4. Just remember, to order another dish if you do decide to get a dumpling soup.
Manna Restaurant
They have decent tteokbokki and tonkatsu. I remembered loving their tteokbokki combo which I last had years ago, which is served with some gimbap and soondae on the edge of the bowl which you can dip into the sauce. And the wax display of that dish was pretty tantalizing. I was so disappointed to find it was falsely advertising the portion, however. The wax display shows the tteokbokki bulging out of the plate's bowl divot, while what I was served was only half of the bowl's capacity. I know inflation has hit everyone but this really rubbed me the wrong way. The food itself was tasty and hit the spot, but this was my second worst experience in the H Mart food court. (Do NOT order naengmyeon from the neighboring stand that offers it, you will be sorely disappointed.)
Apparently there are several Manna restaurants around the Chicago area. This one is in the food court of the super store of Hmart grocery store. Dine in or carry out dinner or lunch after doing your grocery shopping at Hmart. Tap below on thumbs up. 👍
China One
We are so proud to deliver for China One! They consistently serve high-quality, delicious food that never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and professional, and the attention to detail in both food preparation and customer service is top-notch. -Waiter Express Food Delivery Team
Crab rangoon and egg drop soup are the Best in town. I had shrimp with cashew nuts, it was extremely good. I prefer more cashews, just my individual taste. We had the lunch menu, the portion size is compared to a full menu item at some other establishments. I had enough for two meals. My companion who has a larger appetite had the pork egg foo young. Which was also excellent and very pleased with the portion. We originally were going to eat in. The staff was very accommodating when we had to change it to a take out order. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was exceptional. We have found the diamond in the rough. We will definitely be back again!
KyoDong Noodles
They have some really delicious noodles soup!! Definitely a place to try 👍👍
I ordered # 11- Seafood noodles. 2 pcs of small shrimp over cooked. 1 pcs shellfish. 1 small pcs leg. Mostly noodles. Too pricey for noodles alone. Will not recommend.
RED WOK
Subpar. But in a Korean food court… The beef jajiang noodles were non eventful. Very bland and sorry onions do not count as a vegetable. The sweet and sour pork must have been a bad take off of a Chinese style dish. Gravy had a sour flavor, acidic, should have had a sweetness that balanced the sour, not there. Add insult to onions again, that along with carrots and cabbage were served raw in the gravy. Not even blanched. It was also a fail. Again very bland. Needed seasoning. Needless to say no need for a return visit.
They just put lots of onions inside. Taste is not like jjajang. Just onions taste. But i like the noodles
Great Wall
57272916 ORDER NUMBER - MY FIRST AND LAST TIME HERE $40 TO WASTEED... This was my order placed online 5/10/25. The food is horrible. The wings was brunt or the grease was very old. The saint paul sandwich had not taste/flavor to it. Ths sandwich was on a hamburger bun instead of regular bread. The house rice was bland no flavor. The chicken fried rice The chicken was not cooked all the way and the chicken was very slimy. When I called back the guy said they use chicken tenders in their food. The crab ragoon was ok but I definitely had better.
We have lived in Lake St. Louis for 18 years and have been ordering food from this small business for a very long time. The husband/wife owners are very kind, very efficient and timely in their food preparation and delivery (considering it’s only the two of them), and their food is very good. The only reason why I didn’t score for atmosphere is that we don’t do any inside dining there. We always order food for delivery. Would highly recommend ordering from here and supporting this local small business! We ordered entrees and appetizers for three adults, plus delivery fee and tip, and only spent around $45!!
