Kinda small inside and quite busy for a weekday lunch. Food was good, decent value. There's a step at the entrance so need to be careful and it's not wheelchair friendly.

The taste of food is good but the congee was quite watery and our oyster congee just had about 6 oysters and cost 10 bucks something. The service is not as expected. We did dine in and take away, we asked the staff to help with the order of take away during our meal, she responded that we have to do it online ourselves. But actually the online ordering page was not so user friendly. First of all, it sometimes stuck and cannot be scroll down. Secondly, it did not provide the option to choose dine in or take away, you have to do it in the remarks of every items you ordered, and before that I thought it was only for the special arrangements for the ingredients only, kind of confused. Finally, there was no options for you to choose the bundles for breakfast since there is a discount in the morning. We used 10 mins to figure it out that we needed to do it online and the staff help to give you a hot drink for free. I did not know why they just made it either online or by staff. Anyways, while we figured it out, the staff told me that I was late for 2 mins so I did not get the promotion.

This Hakka stall in this plaza has changed hands over the years but the quality of the food has remained good, Singapore Garden made it very good. Friendly service with excellent value especially on their lunch specials that comes with either free soup or pop for about $12 tax in. Bonus that they accept credit cards. The Manchurian chicken, crispy beef, Bombay chicken, and dry fish dishes are all very good. Great Hakka option in Markham.

Went for lunch on a slow Monday afternoon. This place is very clean and tidy. Manchurian chicken had a little extra ginger, would prefer it toned down. Hot and sour soup and veg Singapore noodles were on point. Would like to try other items at this place. Definitely returning.

Yang's Braised Chicken Rice (Warden) 0

Yang's Braised Chicken Rice (Warden)

Great franchised restaurant specializing in boiling hot soup noodle and braised chicken rice. No beer (or any alcohol) to kill the heat but there are other drinks available. This location seems to be more generous with their portions but the flavours seem lighter. Still good. Unfortunately there is only one single stall unisex washroom, so sometimes you'll have to line up. Good service, nice ladies.

A friend of mine invited me to try this new restaurant. While they're new to Toronto, they have over 6,000 locations worldwide, originating in China. Their menu for main dishes is pretty simple - Braised Chicken (regular or boneless). The simple menu lists Braised Ribs and Braised Beef Brisket, coming soon. These dishes come with a bowl of steamed rice and your choice of spice level. There are a variety of add-ons available for $1.99 each. They include bean curd, quail eggs, a variety of veggies, and even luncheon meat. The menu also lists a variety of cold dishes, such as Jelly Fish with Green Onion Sauce, Eggplant with Sesame Paste, Celery and Pig Ear in Garlic and Soy Sauce, and a few others. The Snack portion of the menu includes New Orleans Style Fried Chicken Wings, Taiwanese Style Sausages, Deep Fried Squid Balls, and more. The entire menu fits on one page, with nothing costing more than ten dollars (as of this writing). My friend and I had the Yang's Braised Chicken Rice, the house specialty, Popcorn Chicken, and Eggplant with Sesame Sauce. The braised chicken was served sizzling, in a hot pot, with a bowl of rice. The generous serving had a home cooked look and taste. Not bad but not the restaurant quality that I expected. The popcorn chicken was good, very crispy and tasty. I'm not a fan of eggplant but I tried it and it was okay. My friend enjoyed it. This location was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly. If you're looking for a good simple meal at a good price, give this place a try.

A REAL Hakka restaurant! I almost pokai when I found this place thinking that no way this is real. Yep, it is real and is not the Indian Hakka that we always see!!!! Stuffed peppers and tofu was really yummy! Had the lo bak and it was nice. Salt baked chicken was delicious! I will come back.

An amazing place with high quality authentic food and a friendly atmosphere. Although the place is small, it may be some of the best chicken in the entire mall. If you choose to dine there, you will also find that you get incredible portion sizes for affordable prices. I’d really recommend coming here and getting to taste the incredible food that awaits.

We always order the Classic Rice Noodle Soup (free noodle refill) and the Beef with Chili Sauce. Highly recommend to get the $20 VIP membership. Favour and quality are consistent across different Yunshang locations.

Quick seating, fast service and order by phone. You can get a free refill of noodles. The sauerkraut fish tasted very good. However the tripe and braised chicken fell short. I would definitely recommend the noodles over the braised chicken.

Yin Ji Chang Fen is a wonderful Chinese restaurant that specializes in rice rolls. The rice rolls are freshly made to order and you can select different stuffing such as shrimp, beef and mushrooms. They have many other good dishes as well such as noodles and congee. Service is efficient and food is served quickly, we were out in under 30 minutes.

The famous rice noodle rolls are a must try. There are many types of porridge and those taste good. There are many other foods to choose from.

Small, cozy spot. Fast, flavourful food. This was my first visit to this location, as I usually visit the Ajax location. Service is extremely fast, I would estimate a 1-2min wait after putting the order in. Order by qr code provided at the table. There is little service unless you call them, for new water bottle etc. Imagine a food court style, where you order, get your food, and eat at the table on your own, however they do bring out the food for you. We had a large group today, total 10 people. My friend called in advance for them to save a spot for us. Food was flavourful, I got mild zhacai pork with extra pork and it was a good amount of heat. I forgot to add extra veg today. My companions had never tried Jin's before, and they all said it was good. Portions are very generous, and one of the options is extra noodles at no extra charge. I got my husband the triple beef in medium, he said it was quite spicy for his tolerance level. I got the black fungus pork for my daughter. I also got the demon egg and tofu for my companions to try, it is one of my favourite side dishes at Jin's. It is slightly spicy with a lot of flavour.

The portion sizes appear larger in the restaurant's photos. In reality, the protein portions are particularly small. The flavor is too rich and heavy-handed, which is overly salty and oily for our taste. On the positive side, you can customize your meal by choosing to have the broth with your noodles or on the side. Additionally, the restaurant offers free noodle refills, which is a nice touch. However, our experience was inconsistent, as one of our noodle dishes was piping hot, while the other was only lukewarm. The service is minimal and lacking, with little attention from the staff. The restaurant itself is small, seating only about 15-20 people. Parking is also limited, with a small free lot that may be full during peak weekend hours.

I was surprised to find Xiang De Zhai to be one of more popular stalls at First Markham Place. They serve traditional Tianjin bites & pastries including the traditional jianbing pancakes and tofu pudding. Even the cashier has a snarky attitude like a street vendor. Freshly made, the crunchy jianbing is a sizeable bite that we got hot and spicy. The tofu pudding was savory with plenty of peanut butter sauce. Both tasted pretty delicious although the price for this duo was about the same as a huge platter nearby!

Quick eat. Tried the Jiang Bang Savoury Crepe. There are three different types of crepes. One side is savoury, the other side is sweet Hoi Sin sauce almost. I got the #1. One side had some parsley and egg. It's also folded with some crispy flatbread inside. You have the option of putting dough fritters instead. Basically, it can serve 2 for $5.99. if you add additional ingredients like meat, it will cost a bit more. It's piping hot as it's made on the griddle. The place also has a variety of other dishes from noodles to dumplings. Recommend to try Tianjin cuisine. Service was quick and efficient.

Unique grilled fish restaurant which is served in a soup, and a heated pan keeping the dish hot. It's on the pricier side, but one fish can be shared amongst 2+ people along with other dishes. Food tastes good, and servers are polite. They can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. Worth trying if you're in the area. The tables are spacious.

Grilled Fish Lovers, This One’s for You! Crispy skin, juicy meat, and a spicy kick that hits just right Loaded with veggies, bold flavors, and seriously addictive sauce. I often eat at this restaurant. All the dishes are delicious.

Two of us went for dinner and ordered three dishes: Xi'an style cold noodles (凉皮),Picked bun with lamb in Shanxi style(羊肉泡馍),and Big platter spicy chicken with hand pulled noodles(大盘鸡). Everything tasted so good and authentic except that there was only very few pieces of lamb in the picked bun with lamb dish and most were fat. The chicken dish was very big portion and would strongly recommend.

Plenty parking at Commerce Gate. Authentic northern china-style restaurant. We visited on Wednesday late afternoon, there were only 2 tables and not many people. Good customers service. Believe the lady is the owner. She was friendly and attentive. Prices are decent. We like our sour fish in soup. It's one of my favourite dish anywhere, anytime. Lamb Skewers are flavourful and little spicy.

On Chinese New Year’s Eve, our family of three decided to find a place to enjoy a reunion dinner. The restaurant only allowed reservations for six or up people, so with just the three of us, we had to go early. I arrived at 5 PM, and it wasn’t crowded yet. However, their sign was too inconspicuous. Our family, arriving in two batches, both mistakenly entered the Japanese restaurant next door. As soon as I walked in, they asked if I was there for the all-you-can-eat option. I was so confused! We ordered simple dishes. As for the Peking duck, I couldn’t tell the difference between that and the roast duck. For a dish that costs nearly $60, I didn’t think it was great value for money. I also ordered Stir-Fried Beef with Chili Peppers (杭椒牛柳) because a few days ago, my daughter made this dish, but the beef strips she cut didn’t seem quite right. So I decided to order an authentic version for everyone to compare. Well, turns out the beef here was cut even thicker than my daughter’s. I guess I misunderstood what this dish is supposed to be like. The roasted pork, supposedly their specialty, was also a bit dry. Overall, it was okay. When we left, it was snowing heavily outside.

We have been to green tea restaurant a couple of times, so far we are happy with the food that we ordered, especially the braised pork belly and abalone ( $38.99 very tender and tasty, big volume), smashed potato with sliced beef ( $25.99 tasty, kids would love) braised sliced eel ( $32.99 unique dish, recommended if you like eel) we love the interior decoration and tableware. The atmosphere is very welcoming and elegant. The service can be improved, not consistent. Overall, it is a good choice if you would like to try some unique dishes from Southern China, such as Hangzhou and Shanghai.

Came back to this place after a strong recommendation from a friend. Xinjiang cuisine turned out to be greasier than I expected, and most dishes had the same mix of onions and bell peppers—whether it was the stir-fried lamb tripe, mushroom dry pot, or the lamb meat wrap. The lamb skewers were a bit tough to chew and had too much fat, so I wouldn’t recommend them. We ended up getting a membership card because of the discount, but it was quite inconvenient—the discount is only applied if you physically bring the card. Simply providing the phone number or a photo of the card doesn’t work, which makes things unnecessarily complicated. Aside from the food and the membership issue, the service was pretty good overall.

We are always impressed with the food here. However, the service can be disappointing at times. We had to request tea multiple times before it was finally served. Even getting takeout boxes is a hassle—they’re extremely stingy with them. Instead of providing enough from the start, they bring half a box, then make you ask again for another. It’s frustrating, especially considering how much money we’re spending. Expecting us to fit a beef burger and skewers into the same box is just unreasonable. On top of that, our dumplings never arrived. We finished all our food, yet they still hadn’t been served. When we asked the waitress, she insisted they were coming, but it was clear from her reaction that they had been forgotten. Overall, while the food is fantastic, the service leaves a lot to be desired.
